  1. So are you saying judging Peterman against what could be the most dominant pass rush in the league at the moment is a good measuring stick. Getting hit in less than 2 seconds after the ball is hiked is a good measuring stick as well. What about the fact that we've won any games this year has had very little to do with quarterback play. Tyrod has lost us games this year by being so average or even below average that he can barely throw for 200 yards. Our offense early in the year was predicated on turnovers by our defense and Shady running the ball. Tyrod at least in this system has shown he cannot run this offense with efficiency he can't or won't make the throws needed. I'm not saying Peterman can and in fact has shown quite the opposite. At this point in the season we no longer control our own destiny when it comes to playoffs. A less than healthy Tyrod has no business being on the field especially if any part of his mobility is compromised. Why not let Peterman show what he can do with a little more time in the pocket. If you didn't see our wide receivers drop multiple passes that hit them in the hands on Sunday I'm not sure what game you were watching when Peterman again came in for mop up duty and with a little better play calling should of had a td.
  2. The thing that gets me the most about all of the Tyrod Taylor crap is the fact that good teams even with good defenses and good quarterbacks sometimes get into what is called a shootout with another good team that has a great offense and defense and they score sometimes both teams in the thirty point range. This is the NFL all the rules are now skewed too the offenses and quarterbacks. There are very few good defensively based games where teams almost shut each other out and they usually involve us and some other incompetent offensive team. So stop making this team about defense and running and lets get an air raid offense that slings the ball all over the field because at least its fun to watch.
  3. I think BB just puts up with Gronks antics and realized he stepped way over the line and I as much as I hate to say it am glad BB apologized for what happened. Gronks apology on the other hand was terrible and he was too busy trying to make excuses it was a bad look. Then appealing his suspension I wish he had gotten more than one game. But, BB did show some class and definitely had more of a conversation with McDermott than any other coach we've had in the past.
  4. I think Mayfield could be this years Deshaun Watson. They will rip him apart but the dudes a winner. They will find out that he is more talented than thought in the combine and continue to harp on his flaws. Height, arm strength, accuracy and his attitude. Deshaun Watson was a lion from the start and the book is still yet to be written on him could always become an RG3 clone.
  5. This is a better matchup for Peterman right now then against the vaunted pass rush that the Chargers have. This was the game I thought the Bills brass were gonna make the change anyways. Why we put Peterman in the firing lines against Bosa and company still has me scratching my head. Tyrod is on his way out and even when he's in its been tough to watch him throw for under 100 yds. This is a better game to really see if Peterman can bounce back and get a good evaluation of what he actually is. Some QB's come out of college ready to go others need a little time to develop. He's shown timing and the ability to throw receivers open and even some good ball placement. Nobody would play well getting their head almost knocked off every play.
  6. I say we pull a Houston and draft our QB (Ala Deshaun Watson) but let our backup start the year until we think he's ready, more than likely Peterman playing the part of the (Tom Savage). That way not throwing him into the fire right away. Go hard after a QB that you believe in and build up our oline later in the draft.
  7. I watched a few games with Darnold this year in particular the one where Rosen out dueled him the whole game with less talent around him. I don't think he's even the third best QB coming out this year. I would much rather take a long look at Allen and see who else comes out.
  8. I remember we knocked out Brett Favre when he was playing for the Vikings and Joe Webb III came in and schooled us that game. Arthur Moats the legend killer if I recall.
  9. Honestly WR is at the bottom of my list right now. New offensive coordinator is at the top Draft a Rookie QB with our first or move up. Then build up the oline and dline to the linebackers. Maybe take a flier on a wr in the late rounds who nobody has heard of from a D2 school.
  10. Taylor is inaccurate I don't understand the discussion here. He has cost us allot of touchdowns and first downs because his placement is always poor. We know this and we have played with it for years. He runs around and throws balls behind receivers and at their ankles. Once the play has broken down it is no longer a timing route between the qb and receivers, it becomes backyard football and usually a guy sits down or comes back to him in space and he just flat out misses them or makes it so there is no YAC. A better more accurate qb can make those throws.
  11. Who knew Mcvay would of been the right coach to hire. Making Goff look good after how terrible he was last year. Mcvay is calling the audibles in his headset. Sean is getting praise all across the league for his fresh take on offense. In Buffalo we often focus on getting a defensive minded coach that gets an offensive coordinator that focuses on the running game partially because our qb's have sucked since the short time we had Bledsoe. We need to get a young fresh offensive mind that can mold our rookie QB next year and grow with him and mold him into what we want. I hope from there McDermott can right the ship on defense and go from there. Our old retread coaches and coordinators sans Marrone will all wash out eventually. Even though I thought Lynn has a chance to be decent.
  12. I wanna see Peterman play out the season. Brandon Reilly, Milano and Logan Thomas has intrigued me since college would love to see him get the ball more. How many former college QB's do we have geez. Joe Webb, Logan Thomas at least we know we have good emergency QB's.
  13. I saw all I needed to see on 4th and goal on the 1 when the game was still kind of in reach. He called a low percentage play that you try on 1st or 2nd and goal. You have got to give that ball to Mcoy or play action to a drag route or even a QB bootleg that Peterman is capable of running as well. Terrible play calling cost us a td.
  14. I'll be honest it's not like our team is exactly lighting up the scoreboard lately in any quarter. Our offense is pathetic at this point. Early on in the season it seemed like we were making some small adjustments and had at least a semblance of a game plan. It seems like in our losses we have a lull and apparently the third quarter is where it is happening for whatever reason. As a good coach you have to make the players aware of the pattern and put it in their heads to play harder in the third.
  15. I think if Tre White is out that hurts the team more at this point. Peterman will have allot better shot against a much maligned defense in Indy to show more of what he's capable of good tape measure game. Don't sleep on Indy Brissett has made some plays and kept them in games. Dolphins looked dominant yesterday but have had a very Jekyll and Hyde type year so depending who shows up.
  16. Do I think Tyrod could be more effective in an offense that fits him better. We have seen him do well in a run first offense with limited reads and the ability to run on a whim. He excels in the option game and his escapability is unquestioned. He does not fit Dennison's system he never will and we need to make either a conscious decision to get rid of the OC or get rid of Tyrod because they cannot effectively coexist. The fact that Tyrod's ceiling is only a step above average and he's shown he cannot come from behind and win games makes my decision for me that he is not the future for this team. All the supposed national pundits saying he is unappreciated obviously don't watch the entire games they watch the highlights or look at the int/td ratio its so pretty. When other qbs are throwing for 4,000 yards or more and 25-30+ tds. We have to sit here and appreciate an overly cautious more athletic Dilfer clone.
  17. Play calling was Rico vanilla as usual. Plays were left on the field. Open wide receivers missed left and right and over thrown and under thrown so even if they do catch there is no room for YAC. The O'leary under throw the most blatant missed opportunity by far. But, this is par for the course with that QB he makes one great escape from pressure and gets a first down to Shady and then we have to hear how great he is. Or he makes a nice throw to Zay in the end zone for a nice touchdown. That doesn't erase the fact that we were completely dominating KC on defense and had to have a pick to end the game because of how terrible our offense played.
  18. In all the games I watched I could count on one hand how many punts that didn't have a flag this weekend the majority of the flags would have had little or no bearing on the outcome of the play. Ala blocking in the back when the guy fair caught it.
  19. Pound the rock and hit Brady every Play and hope for turnovers. Long sustained drives keep Brady off the field as much as possible and then hit him hard when he is on the field. Don't be afraid to throw in a trick play or two.
  20. Tyrod gave the Chiefs every chance to win during that game by not making enough plays to shut the door. We were just lucky that the Chiefs are more inept than we are.
  21. I don't see Lawyer Milloy stepping onto the field for revenge any time soon. This could get ugly real quick.
  22. I don't hate the guy but, I am not a fan of his play. We left allot on the table yesterday and his accuracy leaves allot to be desired. A good quarterback, not even a stellar QB and we win yesterdays game handily probably by 17 points or more. People were open and he was flat out missing them. Unfortunately allot of the analysts only see the highlight reels of him dodging this guy or that guy and throwing a dart to Zay in the end zone, that is the exception with him and not the norm though. I have no question he has allot of heart he just leaves too many plays on the field. Can't wait to find that next level guy that is capable of putting the team on his back.
  23. Anybody comparing Cousin's to Tyrod is obviously blind. Cousin's is playing with his worst team in years his WR's other than Doctson who hasn't stepped up yet. Jamison Crowder and when healthy Jordan Reed are his two top targets and the guy keeps his team competitive with an unstable and often injured or underperforming stable of no name backs. Cousin's is worlds better than Tyrod. Behind Buffalo's Oline he'd be mince meat. So unless we draft heavy Oline I wouldn't even want a pocket passer.
  24. I said during the game that after TT came in it seemed the Oline blocked a little better. They weren't great by any means but TT was given a little more time. If that's the case then every lineman that did that should be cut immediately. Regardless of their loyalty to TT they are playing for a team and coach and make way to much money to pick and choose when to play. That being said I have no idea if this is true or just another Conspiracy theory.
