  1. He names roughly a third of the league. Thanks, Pete.
  2. If this was the trade that Beane made tomorrow I wouldn't be super excited. I'm not as big on Thomas as many here seem to be. But that's just personal opinion. However, there is no argument that for a 4th and only one of the 2nds next year the value is there and would make a ton of sense.
  3. Yes, but at least then there are viable options. Could trade him for high picks and start the WR train again. Could pay him, but even then it would take a year for the contract to kick in. Could pick up 5th year option (if first rounder) and use the franchise tag as well for a lower hit. But in any event, you're still getting those 4-5 years on much cheaper salary.
  4. And this is why I feel it's smart to draft the lower cost rookie WR (or 2). WR inflation is real
  5. Funner fact....all pants can be ass-less chaps if you own scissors.
  6. I'm betting this is a formality as the board will almost undoubtedly pile on Thomas here. My real vote would be not to move that high for any of these guys.
  7. Man, that Benjamin fella seems like he could be elite. Big dude. I wonder what he's up to these days My guess is about 325.
  8. In the end I expect this to be much commotion about nothing. I'm certain Beane has called pretty much everyone about what a package to move up would look like. Gathering information. He does this every year to my knowledge. So do most GMs. My best guess is in the long run this is a nothing burger. Lots of people spinning their wheels this week are building some pretty high expectations that will set themselves up for a disappointment come Thursday Night IMO.
  9. I personally think too many in the mock draft community are too high on Thomas. Good player, certainly. But I've said for a bit...but I'm not going to be shocked if he's not WR4 off the board on Thursday. I think he's lower on team draft boards than many would think
  10. Congratulations. You got Mac Jones 2.0😂😂. Just playing man. All in fun!
  11. And they'll be taking one. In 2025. Maybe they throw a dart at Rattler or someone mid to late rounds this year. But hey, never say never
  12. The all reds are ok. Don't like that "H" emblem. I do give them kudos for not randomly changing everything to black for the sake of it.
  13. With the 3rd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft the New England Patriots find no reason to be deflated and have a very happy ending by selecting: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU After briefly considering several trade offers the opportunity to select this exciting duel threat, Heisman Winning, first team All-American QB is too much to pass up. Pro ready with 5 years starting experience under his belt he steps in with excellent presence and command from day 1. In short, this is the "C.J. Stroud" level QB in this draft. @GunnerBillAnd the Arizona Cardinals are on the clock.
  14. I think he fights his normal urges and makes a small move back. I really think he's bugged by the fact that he counted on having that 3rd round comp pick and it became a 4th instead. I think (no proof...just hunch) that it's been eating away at him and he wants into that 3rd round where some good value can be found. I look for him to make a deal and slide back to the 30-40 range and pick up a late 3rd.
  15. Well to be fair the draft "officially" started at 9am today. However, you are correct. Washington is staying in the spot and taking a QB in the real draft barring a juggernaut of a deal....one that wouldn't likely be approved by the parameters of this mock draft. I think the Washington GM in this draft is just spinning his wheels. I am drafting for the Patriots right after. I'm going by what I've seen them say in public. Comfortable taking a QB in that spot. Doesn't have to be a QB, though. Of course we are already listening to trade offers but to quote the Patriots it would have to be a "franchise altering trade".
  16. Even with the new contract we would have to shell out for Jefferson, this seems like a shockingly low price tag to aquire him.
  17. Maybe a slight trade to say...28? That would be around the window I'd expect. Especially with Detroit and KC making picks between our pick and theirs. Would seem reasonable they want to jump in front of them for a CB.
  18. New England's phone lines are starting to ring a bit. Some... interesting offers.
  19. Out of all the players listed in any capacity the one I think is most likely to be a Buffalo Bill by the end of the draft is MJ Devonshire. A low round DB from Pitt? Bank on that one.
  20. I'd like him to have an evil goatee. Or a handlebar mustache.
  21. I've gotta be honest. Love the move. For both Wilson and the Broncos. For Wilson: He lands somewhere with an offensive minded coach. Nothing on the depth chart at the position. The best OL he's ever had in front of him. He's got a chance to start early and often and rebuild his name. For Denver: It's the lowest of the low risk swings on a guy that was recently the #2 pick of the draft. It gives them a year to see if Wilson was just let down by an awful Jets Coaching staff or lack of ability to develop. And if he doesn't, say hello to a top 3-5 pick and a QB next year. I've said all off season the Denver would not be going QB at 12 and their QB of the future is in the 2025 draft. While having Wilson on board doesn't eliminate them from taking one of somehow Maye or Daniels falls...it means they don't have to reach in a Nix or Penix, one of which (if not both) will likely be on the board late 1st to mid 2nd.
