  1. Assuming we end up in the draft range of 3-5, I’d prefer we trade down. Get a plug and play OT and a reliable TE or WR that can be your go to for Allen with your two picks in the first round. 2nd round I add a WR or TE depending on what you did with your second pick in the first round. Third round draft a center. Address OG in FA. Add another WR thru FA. Address CB in FA as well. Draft a RB in the fourth round. Shoring up the OL would be a great foundation for JA and the running game. Adding a WR and TE in the draft along with another FA WR could instantly change the offense assuming you add three new pieces to the OL. I’d keep Clay and Croom as TE’s along with Zay. DiMarco, Benjamin, Ducasse, Logan and Mills can all go. In addition Crossman and Castillo need to be shown the door.
  2. Agree with what you wrote Shaw. I had a strong belief that McDermott was finally the right coach. However with each game my confidence is eroding more and more. You can talk process all you want but 25 games into his HC tenure what’s changed? Down 28 to 0 and you kick a FG? Players don’t line up properly and continue to make self inflicted penalties before the ball is even snapped. The number of blowouts is extremely alarming, you draft a rookie QB that you state you have a plan for but abandon that plan after half a game and throw him to the wolves. You’ve built one of the worst offenses in modern day NFL. But yet you want everyone to trust the process when the HC coach makes idiotic statements that he can win with NP. You cut OLeary but keep Logan Thomas and the list goes on and on. The GM is a ghost for the majority of the regular season. Been a fan of the Bills since 1988 but my desire to watch any more games this year has hit rock bottom. Can anyone really state they are confident any longer that McDermott and Beane know what the same hell they are doing? I’m not sure they truly know what a NFL is!
  3. This article is spot on. I keep asking the same question....McDermott acts like we have a bunch of rookies and 2nd year players starting as each game he makes the statement we have a lot of young players. WHO exactly is he referencing? Allen, Jones and Dawkins on O, White, Milano and Edmunds on D? The majority of the starters are very experienced! How they are losing, the Qb plan for Josh and his comments postgame are very concerning! Is he not able to see what everyone else sees?
  4. Trade down and acquire more picks. Get your starting OT in the draft. Sign a FA OG. Draft WR and TE with next two picks. Sign two FA Wr’s. Add RB, OLB, CB with other picks. Fill in with FA where needed. Bills have Hughes, Lawson, Murphy, Harrison and Phillips plus Star. More talent there than anywhere else on the roster.
  5. The “unofficial” tank is in full effect. When you assemble an offense this bad in today’s NFL, how do you expect to win! Only 9 more games to go with this mess. MCDermott and Beane better get it done in the offseason or their tenure will be short. What they have done at the QB and WR positions is an embarrassment. I’m in no hurry to rush Josh Allen back out into this dumpster fire!
  6. Not making fun of Rosen but it validates that Josh Allen isn’t turning the ball over compared to the other three and for all the critics thinking their was a big gap with Allen compared to the others might want to rethink it. They are rookies but overall I’d rather have Allen than Rosen.
  7. I don’t have as much confidence regarding Anderson as some do. Right now we are trending for a pick in the top 5. IMO, draft stud OT with your 1st pick, acquire OG in free agency. Draft WR or TE in the 2nd, sign another FA WR, draft in 3rd or 4th round OLB or CB or sign in FA. Resign Anderson as experienced QB, resign Phillip Gaines as DT. Keep Shady and sign some another RB as depth. IMO, DL is not a critical need based upon who we have and the results we are seeing. I also wonder what signing drama will come with Bosa?
  8. I actually disagree. Everyone was up in arms about his accuracy. Overall, his accuracy has been acceptable. Most fans say they have patience but most don’t. He’s not a turnover machine and when given time he has produced. He’s played against some tough defenses out of the gate and for the majority of the games they’ve been competitive. Yes, he can get better at reading defenses, staying in the pocket but compared to the other rookies this year, he’s right there with them and that’s with a junk offense and a rookie OC. It’s a learning year in which there are going to be highs and lows! He has all the qualities and athleticism to continue improving.
  9. Imagine if any other player on the roster got torched for 10 Td’s in 4 games, fumbled 10 times in 4 games, they would be cut immediately, yet somehow NP gets to stay on the roster with his play. Lunacy is correct. It’s an embarrassment our head coach can’t see that NP has no business being on any NFL roster! Belichek would of released him at halftime in SD! Decisions like this make me untrust the process and SMH!
  10. If the reports are accurate, it would make sense to bring him back after the bye week or wait another week and face the Dolphins. The next 5 games are going to be even worse. Not sure how McDermott and Beane keep the team tight as right now they odds are they may go winless while Allen sits. At this point it’s all about the future so no rush to throw him back into the dumpster fire on offense! If Peterman EVER starts another game for the Bills, McDermott and Beane should be fired immediately! The kid wouldn’t even make it on a team’s PS, let alone be a backup!
  11. IMO, he deserves just as much of the blame as anyone else. Players not lining up correctly, few rub routes, screens, short passes, reverse direction, motion, etc. Yes, talent is lacking but he continues to try to throw deep routes with WR’s who can’t separate, an OL that struggles to block and a QB who is still learning. The deep out he called with NP in the game was inexcusable and down right idiotic. Everyone knows NP can’t make that throw except NP, McDermott and Daboll!
  12. What a mess McDermott and Beane have created with the QB position and the offense. After the Baltimore game NP should have been cut and a proven vet brought in. With Josh out, I believe it’s a no brainer we will be competing for the #1 overall pick.
  13. Spot on! It’s the little things and attention to details that always bite the Bills! Punt blocking, lining up correctly, fielding a punt, etc.. Most of that is on the coaches!
  14. WGR just trying to stir the pot! Would be idiotic for the Bills to play Anderson or Peterman at any point this year unless Josh is injured! The kid is a rookie playing the most important position on the team with few players on offense to lean on. For all the moaning and groaning about his play against the Titans, he wasn’t asked to do a whole lot. He led them to three scores and a game winning drive. Plus a botched FG which would have been four scores against a team that was 3-1. Some of you need patience!
  15. If they sign Anderson, I would think NP goes to the practice squad as no other team is going to pick him up. Waste of a roster spot otherwise.
  16. Was out of town this weekend, but recorded the game and watched it late last night. Josh is obviously still developing but overall he is growing. Complain about the playcalling and not throwing the ball all you want, but he’s still developing even with this gameplan. Anyone remember Big Ben’s first year? He rarely threw more than 10 passes a game. It’s providing Josh with more confidence, smaller sample size of his throws to assess in the film room and allowing him to mature reading defenses more effectively. I’d prefer the Bills to take this approach compared to getting sacked 5 times per game with a receiving core that is weak. Asking him to throw it 25+ per game with our current offensive talent is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole! Have some patience and enjoy this season for what it is. They are a major work in progress. Defense looks like it’s corrected itself. Never expected Josh to come in day one a lite it up but he is by far the most talented QB, we’ve had since Kelly. IMO, I look at Josh as a glass half full not half empty and overall like what I seem from him thus far. 2-2 as a starter with 5 TD’s. Expect with an upgraded OL and receiving core in his 2nd season and a year of experience plus another full offseason to grow, I’m excited about our future! BTW....love the Bills bringing in Anderson to help this young man develop and lean on a experienced vet!
  17. I don’t understand all the criticism regarding Clay. I get he’s not an all-pro TE but the last few years besides McCoy, he is one of our most reliable receivers. IMO, Clay is very low on the list of our offensive issues. RT, C, both OG’s, and the majority of our WR’s. Add in a struggling OC and it’s not much better than a collegiate offense! If you move Shady and Clay you might as well start Peterman the rest of the year and let Josh watch and learn!
  18. I know it’s common sense, but it is absolutely critical the Bills acquiring offensive difference makers on offense thru the draft and FA this offseason. They have no excuses. It’s an offense based scoring league. While the defense isn’t top five it should be sufficient. Add a OLB and CB and everything else should be offensive based! Screw it up and McDermott’s time as the HC will be short!
  19. I respect KW but at this point is he really anything more than McDermott’s asst coach? KW has been pretty much invisible this season with the exception of a few plays. McDermott’s coach speak is starting to get really annoying when the results are becoming all too familiar!
  20. Thanks Shaw for the write up. As a long time Bills fan, I’ve conceded this year the Bills are a work in progress and most likely will finish with a top five draft pick. With that sad my expectations are minimal THIS year. I’m looking for a few things this season: 1) How is McDermott learning and growing as a head coach? 2) Are players improving and developing? 3) Can our OC put together a consistent and competitive offensive scheme? 4) Does Josh learn from his mistakes that he will make and improve at reading defenses? Lastly, regarding Allen I have major concerns who is helping him develop? Who’s in the film room with him, who is talking to him on the sidelines? The lack of an experienced QB to help him is a HUGE void in my opinion. I feel this staff has put him on an island and it’s ALL on him to learn and improve with zero supporting cast.
  21. Where to begin: 1. Figure out how to block in the middle of the line. Ridiculous how many rushers come untouched straight up the middle. 2. Get back to calling screens, slants, etc. The OL and WR don’t have the ability to do much more. 3. Get Shady the ball in open space more. 4. Having any sort of rushing game would be a huge bonus! 5. Pressure from the starting DL. Still can’t believe the OC playcalling today!
