  1. Speaking of LB’s, did Darren Lee get signed. I can’t find anything.
  2. Murphy, Klein and Edmunds in that order for me. Trent is having no impact, Klein is a major liability and Edmunds continues to be out of position and while he makes plays, it’s typically 5 yards or more downfield.
  3. Unfortunately violent, physical, imposing are not words I would use to describe our LB core.
  4. 3 of the top 4 leading tacklers today were in our secondary. Yikes that should be very alarming. Our front seven continues to have major issues. Trent Murphy also had no tackles or assist. You just cant have that from your starting DE who also struggles to set the edge. At this point, why not start developing AJ. Really hope Beane can work a trade to address DL or LB.
  5. The Bills are 5-2 and in first place within their division. Josh is on pace for a 4,000 yard season, 37 TD’s and 9 interceptions with a 68% completion rate. Some of you really need to step off the ledge regarding Josh. D+. I needed a good laugh but the jokes on you. Let’s Go Buffalo!
  6. Stop the Pats run game and screen game and I like our chances. If ONLY we could have some fans in attendance like most other stadiums. Getting to 6-2 would be huge at the halfway mark.
  7. Also if Kroft doesn’t trip over his shoe laces and Davis lines up correctly that’s 14 points.
  8. At this point in the season, our draft class is highly suspect. Epenesa, Moss, Bass and Fromm really have provided zero impact thus far. Davis is the only one who has contributed with some level of success. Gotta be bette4 than that.
  9. When you get dominated in the trenches it’s hard to win. Right now NO ONE on defense is winning their matchups. DL consistently pushed back 5 yards a pop. LB’s out of position and for the second straight week zero containment on the QB outside the pocket. They Chiefs ran it straight at us for 240+ yards. The lack of running game and TE play is severely hurting the offense. Teams have taken away the deep ball and crossing routes forcing everything underneath. Pretty easy to game plan against. At some point Bass needs to step up or him and Fromm are going to be wasted draft picks. Lastly, this is the second week in a row where the Bills have done inexcusable things. Back to back stupid penalties by Poyer and White and Diggs literally walking back to the line in a 2 minute offense. All three of them should be called out. Go beat the Jets and Pats to get the train back on the tracks.
  10. As we go into next season, outside of Oliver, everyone else is playing as a depth player versus starter on the DL. Not sure if any of them would start on other teams.
  11. Losing Star, Shaq and Phillips this past offseason has created a lack of physicality with our DL. Hughes and Murphy are not physical enough at setting the edge and Harrison creates no push up the middle. Outside of Oliver there is no need to double team anyone on our DL. This allows the TE and RB’s to slide out as our front four can’t bring consistent pressure. Add in that our LB core is about more finesse and speed than physicality and you can see why we have defensive issues this year. IMO, our front seven is sorely lacking in difference makers who can impact a game.
  12. Robert Woods has gone onto be a really solid WR. Really liked him. Just shows without a solid QB, it doesn’t matter the talent that you have at WR.
  13. How great would it be for the Bills to go 3-0 in their next 3 games against KC, Jets and Pats! They would have the tie breaking if it came into play against KC and three games up on NE at the halfway mark! Gotta bring it tomorrow night. Lets go BUFFALO!
  14. Oliver and Harrison had one tackle each tonight. Woof. For all the draft picks the Bills have hit on.......major questions about Edmunds, Harrison, Oliver and AJ. Also makes you question the pick spent on Fromm when they could have addressed LB or CB.
  15. Need to flush this one quickly. Daboll got schooled by the Titans DC and Frazier’s D looked lost. I’m okay yanking AJ but be consistent especially when you have VETS doing the same thing. DL, Edmunds, T Johnson and Roberts get gassers as they played horrible.
  16. Not sure how they fix it. Major issues with the front seven. DE (Murphy and Hughes) are not getting it done. Continue to give up contain and cannot get to the QB. Interior gets consistently pushed back. LB’s continue to be out of place. Edmunds is not progressing for a 3rd year starter. We need a thumper at LB and an edge rusher who is a difference maker which isn’t going to happen this season.
  17. I’m happy for Zay as it didn’t work out in Buffalo. But based upon our current WR group, Zay doesn’t make the team.
  18. Maybe they won’t but the Bills are certainly capable of beating them. They have the weapons!
  19. Agree. Love Josh but he has to be better than that. It’s his third year and for all practical purposes you throw the ball away, kick the FG to put the team up three scores. GAME OVER. Again great game but he has to recognize in that situation, no turnover and no sack.
  20. Lol....a look at the message boards between these two fan bases tells you all you need to know. Rams game day thread 16 pages TOTAL. Bills game day thread for the first half alone was 60 pages by itself.
  21. TJ didn’t play a full season due to injury. I agree on CB and LB but would go DL over OL at this point and I would certainly consider taking a playmaking TE if one is available.
  22. Future looks bright for Davis. Keep it up young man.
  23. Just throwing it out there, TJ hockenson seems to be having a bigger impact right now compared to Ed Oliver. Noah Fant isn’t doing bad either for Denver. Adding a playmaker at TE next year would be a huge bonus. Knox has a lot of work to do to get to a solid reliable TE.
  24. Hoping this is being discussed with the intent of fans (10-15K) being in attendance vs the Chiefs.
  25. Nice write up Shaw. Always look forward to your post game write up. Young teams need to LEARN how to win when the game isn’t going your way. This game was eerily similar to the Texans playoff game but the growth of the offense came thru in the end. The Bills were dominating but then aren’t able to punch back. The growth of Josh and the addition of Diggs and Davis have been game changers for this offense. Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis provide matchup problems. Then add in a shifting RB that is good in the short passing game and some competent TE’s really gives JA plenty of options and he’s using all of them. Bills passed their first test with many more to come. Now let’s go beat the Raiders to finish the first quarter of the season with an A!
