I think Sammy’s demise in Buffalo was due to money and an inability to stay healthy. Remember he was a Top 5 pick and picking up his option was considerably higher than those of OBJ, Landry and Benjamin. 11 million IIRC. Lot of cash for someone missing a lot of games the last 2 seasons. I don’t think he was a malcontent but McBeane saw an opportunity to move him for second rounder and in hindsight it may have been the right move. That being said I gladly take him back. When healthy and targeted he’s an elite player.

Gilmore - Toasted early and often but ended decent. Far from "star status" and not worth the contract. What ? player am I missing?

He also had a HOF QB and borderline elite running mate in the back field. The rook has skills no doubt but if he was on the Bills with Tyrod starting he'd be an afterthought. Shady produces with limited offensive talent around him and defensive schemes against him and still puts up pro bowl numbers. He's a keeper, even at his salary. When we develop an offense that has threats at QB and WR then maybe you consider moving on from your elite RB.

Always liked Sammy. He has a great blend of speed, hands and route running. Unfortunately for him he got stuck with a myriad of mediocre QBs and OCs that could never optimize his talents. When he was force fed and targeted his numbers reflected impressive results. The kid can ball but he also finds himself often injured. If healthy, he and KB would be quite the 1-2 punch presuming we acquire a QB that you know, targets his WR's. Yeah, I know he had Goff last year, but being traded late a 1st year WR in a new scheme with that many weapons already there doesn't bode well. No chemistry going in and obviously none developed during the season like with Kupp and Woods.

Just saw a video on NFL Network that said they have all signed contracts and were already breaking down film expecting to work with McDaniels. That's a tough situation right there. Unless you have praise for the people already in place why would any candidate take a HC gig with personnel already in place that he did not hand pick? There are only 32 spots in the world and their hard to get. Somebody will emerge from the shadows but don't expect a big name candidate.

Brady threw for over half a G and had 3 receivers over a hundred yards! Both defenses sucked but it made for a high flying entertaining game.

It was a terrible call! That drive was over 5 minutes up to that point and Buffalo was running the ball very well regardless of what the Jax D was doing. YOU RUN THE BALL!! Jax D was on fumes and deflated from an offside penalty that cost them. 1st and GOAL. Running well all drive. I don't care if 10 are in the box, RUN THE BALL! Who do you blame? Tyrod or Dennison it was a terrible call and cost us the game potentially.
