Bills have weapons to be elite offense
billsbackto81 replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a little harsh Gugny, he had his moments. Had a few mental lapses in concentration as most rookies do. McD is on track to be a very good HC as not many start their tenures with 2 playoff appearances in 3 years. Just as reference Bill Belicheck was 20/28 his first 3 years (No Playoffs) McD is 25/23 with 2 playoff appearances. -

The last 3 defenses are considerably better than KC's. Houston, we have a problem! -

I'll say this. I like Watson and think he's a very good QB but never considered him Elite like so many analysts and pundits. He's had 2 first round playoff exits and let's face it, it should've been 3. He then proceeded to blow a 24 point lead last season yet he received no flack about it. Josh loses his 1st playoff game after an 18 point lead and we can't stop hearing about it. So far he's 12/20 for 139, 0 TDs and 1 INT. in the 4th. That's elite QB play? At least he got his money out the way. -
That POS Henry Anderson returns
billsbackto81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IIRC The Cody Ford fine was originally 28k and then reduced to 4k. If that's so, Anderson was fined 18k less for an obvious dirty hit than Ford was initially for a questionable illegal block penalty. The massive fine reduction tells us that the NFL acknowledged the refs eff'd that call big time. -
Jalen Ramsey extension with Rams - 5 years/105 mill
billsbackto81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ramsey also had LA behind the 8 ball. They traded future picks without securing a deal when they acquired him knowing full well they would have to make him the highest paid. They would've looked like idiots if they didn't retain him. And man did they pay! Buffalo still had an option year on Tre and the tag if things got difficult. -
Gotta tell ya. I know the Bills have made a move in Diggs to open up the passing game but I'm kinda old school. I want to see the offense attack the strength of the Jets defense. Run defense. I want to see Moss and Singletary utilized in the run game against their D to the point it demoralizes them. Screens, sweeps, off tackle, counters. Chunks after chunks of yardage pounding the rock into their front 7. And then when they cheat up the box to stop it, BANG!!! Diggs, Smoke or Sauce for the TD. It's just so fun watching an opposing D hang their heads down in a helpless state with no answers.

Gase,......Halftime of Week 1 Or Marrone,.... Week 4 after all the starters demand a trade. -
I think what makes it that much easier is the fact that they're a team that never really skimped on attaining talent in the hopes of putting together a quality roster. Over paying players to lure them to NY in the hopes of success. Leveon Bell, CJ Mosely, Anthony Barr (before he defected), Tremaine Johnson, etc. only to see it blow up in their faces ala Cleveland. I'm sure it burns them up watching a rival build slowly through competent drafting and "smart" FA signings that results in long term stability. In 3 years McD and Beane have stripped this team of malcontents and horrible signings and built a culture driven, goal oriented team of quality players. Off the top of my head. J.Allen, D.Singletary, D. Dawkins, T. Edmunds, M. Milano, T. White, E. Oliver, H. Phillips, L. Wallace, Z. Moss, C. Ford, S.Neal, T. Johnson (All contributors and drafted by the Buffalo Bills)

Week 1: Jets at Bills (-6.5)
billsbackto81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do you see anything here to worry about? Advantage? WR Perriman vs Diggs LT Becton vs Dawkins LG Lewis vs Spain C McGovern vs Morse RG Van Roten vs Ford RT Fant vs Williams TE Herndon vs Knox WR Crowder vs Beasley WR Hogan vs Brown QB Darnold vs Allen RB Bell vs Singletary 3-4 D vs 4-3 D DL Q. Williams vs Hughes DL S. McLendon vs Butler DL H. Anderson vs Oliver vs Addison OLB Jenkins vs Milano ILB Williamson vs Edmunds ILB Hewitt vs Klein OLB Basham CB Desir vs White CB Austin vs Norman S Maye vs Hyde S McDougald vs Poyer This could get ugly for the Jets even if they play to their potential. I think our 2nd string would give their starters a hellava game. I highlighted the Jets I have some concern for. Anderson is only included because he's a cheap shot SOB. I expect our Defense to feast on this weak, unproven O-Line. -

IF the Bills don't win the AFC East - -what's next?
billsbackto81 replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When building a team the objective is to continually progress and improve in all factors. Offense, Defense, Coaching, etc. This above all else is what's to be expected in the hopes it leads to a championship. There were many games last season where the Bills played poorly or mediocre and still eeked out a win. Jets, Cincy Miami, Tenn come to mind. Hey, good teams find a way to win, right? The competition is much harder this year and its actually feasible to go 8-8 or 9-7 and still be an improved team, just not in the win column. Remember other teams are trying to win as well and aren't going to lie down just because the Bills are favored and supposedly the better team on paper. Windows to compete for a title are usually small as it becomes more and more difficult to keep a caliber team intact. This core IMO has the next 3 years to make it happen providing everyone continues to maintain and improve their level of play. So to answer your question if they don't win the AFCE assuming they play to their potential? ...... Hey! Better luck next year...... -

It works without looking foolish. Just give up on the full beard attempt for now. I thought Keanu Reeves' full beard was bad.

Ouch.. -
The Dolphins will be much improved as they had a real nice influx of talent via the draft and FA. Flores has a year under his belt and some key players like Preston Williams coming back. If Howard is healthy along with Jones pose a very good secondary. Defense will be good. O line is still a ?. They have decent pieces on offense as well. I think 10 wins is a stretch considering the schedule but I can see 8 wins max. If you click over to FinHeaven they have this posted as well and even their fans find it hard to believe.

Actually I think Ford for Winters with Williams at RT if ready. I agree with Addison over Murphy. Nothing against Trent but we already know what he can do and like mentioned above we didn't pay a 10 sack a year guy 30M to be a back up. If both equally healthy I'd go Norman over Wallace.
