  1. I've had a hard time with the idea that Rosen could be the pick. I know a ton of us here love him. I just have never seen it with him. I will say the draft process has changed my mind completely about his personality though. In that respect I've warmed up to the idea. There are quite a few issues with his game I don't think people here will end up liking, the amount of sacks he takes (Darnold has the same issue), the amount of batted balls he has at the line despite being a tall guy, and his injuries. That said, if we take him, Ill deal with it and hope he does great.
  2. Never bought the Mayfield to the Jets stuff either. Rosen is their guy, and they are hoping against hope the Bills dont come up to #2 and take him.
  3. I think Gettleman tried to play Beane using the fact the Jets paid 35% more than they should have to move up. At that point the asking price would have been 3 1sts for the #2 pick. Beane is being very smart and purposeful by not panicking and making dumb trades. Which each minute we get closer to the Giants pick the value decreases. It's likely you can trade to #4 and still get Rosen or Darnold so why throw away picks.
  4. If your Buffalo why would you even involve the Giants at this point? Simply trade 12 and 22 to the Browns for #4 and be done with it. Gettleman overplayed his hand and tried to get 3 1st round picks by convincing Buffalo he was going to take Darnold. If I am Beane I tell Gettleman to take a hike at this point and enjoy his runningback at number 2.
  5. Have to say, extremely happy for Browns fans. Would have loved to see him in a Bills uniform.
  6. We dont often agree on quarterbacks, but I am with you on this one buddy. I propose a Josh Allen ban in all Buffalo area stadiums, bars, and other municipalities.
  7. Or just maybe the Giants are drumming up false interest to try and get the Bills to bend on giving up three 1sts. I sincerely hope our front office doesnt get a case of the chicken littles in the next few hours. Everyone really needs to take a step back and look at this stuff in a more calm fashion.
  8. I am going to go ahead and think this is garbage. The Broncos A) Would have to give up a 1st, 2nd, and 2 3rds or #5 this year and their 1st in 2019 to get #2. B) Are not giving up that many picks to move up three spots for what would be a backup QB for the next two years, when they can stay at #5 and perhaps get Barkley.
  9. I feel like I need to put to rest this perceived "interception issue" with Sam Darnold. Please see below for the interception ratio between Darnold and Rosen. Now, I would prefer for both of them to throw less interceptions. But the "issue" in correlation to Darnold is a complete myth, especially when the comparison always seems to be Rosen. Player Int/gm Int/att Rosen .86 .02 Darnold .81 .02
  10. With guys like Tyrod Taylor, Kaepernick, and Tannehill ahead of him, keeping in mind Kaepernick was 1-10 as a starter that year. Tells me all I need to know about Quarterback Rating. I agree Manning maybe has two-three years left, but I just simply disagree that they are taking a QB at #2. The good news is one of us will be correct.
  11. This is complete and utter hyperbole. Just two years ago Eli led the Giants to an 11-5 record and threw for 4,000 yards. If you think their GM and Coach are worried about ten years from now you havent paid much attention to the NFL. It's a year by year business. Eli Manning in the near term, and thats what counts in trying to keep your job is a much better option than a rookie quarterback. If the Giants draft a QB at #2 who probably doesnt see the field until next year, the GM and Coach are already wasting two years of their contracts waiting for a QB to get good, if he does.
  12. QB is more important than pass rusher, I agree. Except the Giants already have a Hall of Fame quarterback, and another prospect developing behind him. I completely disagree. I think the Darnold smoke has been 100% about trying to rob people of draft picks.
  13. The Giants no longer have a #1 pass rusher. They have Vernon who is a nice supplement, but don't be surprised when they take Bradley Chubb at 2. I think Cleveland trades out of four to move down for a LT and Barkley slides to #5 to the Broncos.
  14. The sky is not falling. The Giants will not take a quarterback number two and the Bills have plenty of picks to move up to #4 and get Darnold.
  15. If Darnold gets to #4 and a bidding war starts, the Bills are squarely in the driver's seat. People keep mentioning Arizona, but it will for sure take 2019 #1 for them to get up there, they dont have the ammo not to. Patriots are a wild card, but I'd be surprised if they move up for Darnold.
  16. I am fully convinced if Mayfield goes 1st, that the Jets take Rosen #3. He is closer to the mold of the QBs their GM and OC have taken in the past. Getting prepared for Darnold to be the guy the Bills take.
  17. This world...I have no idea whats worse, idiot 16 year olds who send their every thought out into an infinite black hole or the grown ups who are waiting in that black hole to brand those kids as racists. Also, how did Trump get brought into this again?
  18. Thats a good range for someone like Ronald Jones, who I think is quite impressive. If they decide to draft one at all. I think Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson is a pretty solid pair or runningbacks.
  19. Cleveland needs to pick a quarterback at #1 and then move down and take McGlinchey in the, lets say #12 spot. No way I would pay Hyde $5 Million a year to sit behind or split carries with Barkley. On Chubb, you need a franchise LT before you need a 2nd pass rusher. So long story short Garrett is right. They need to use both picks on offense.
  20. Does every just assume Mayfield is the Jet's guy at 3? Any other report that's come out pre-draft has been dismissed as a smoke screen but somehow the Mayfield to the Jets rumor is the one we all accept? I suppose it could very well be true, but I think the Bills move up to #4 and have the choice between Darnold and Mayfield. I think Allen goes #1, and Rosen goes #3.
  21. If this is the scenario, this board is going to lose its mind when the Bills pass on Rosen for Josh Allen. I still think Allen goes #1 but I guess we will see.
  22. It's going to be Allen. In my opinion, its been Allen from the beginning. It's the reason they wasted a third round pick on Tyrod. They knew they were going to draft the guy with the highest ceiling and let him sit for a year behind a veteran. Just like the Chiefs did with Mahommes last year.
  23. He's a bad head coach. He is 9-39 as a a lead man in the NFL. Dorsey's guy will take over next year.
  24. I still dont know why he wasnt fired after last season. You could tell Dorsey wanted him gone when he took over.
  25. Personally think this is a pretty weak take. Its Steve Tasker, not Michael Jordan. He wasnt getting endorsement deals for God's sake. Even if he did have a bank full of money its not always good to sit at home on your former merit. I would imagine a few of his teammates regret doing that.
