  1. Was a big beat guy as a teenager. Burroughs, Ginsberg, Kerouac etc. Burroughs was by far my favorite though. After that it was Chuck Palahniuk. Got into Herman Hesse big time in my mid twenties, love Demian. Mid-blowing stuff. But to this day nothing touches Fitzgerald. I was an English Lit major in college, and worked at Borders while in so books were pretty much my life until recently. Will Christopher Baer has a series called the Phineas Poe Trilogy for people who are into dark mysteries, Kiss Me Judas, Hells Half Acre, and A Penny Dreadful. Also suggest Jonathan Tropper: This is Where I Leave You, One Last Thing Before I Go Havent read as much recently but here are a few I've really enjoyed over the last couple years. Tell the Wolves I'm Home- Brunt, Carol Rifka The Absolutist- Boyne, John When Breath Becomes Air- Kalanithi, Paul Just finished Mike Birbiglia's new book on being a first time father New One. Not a bad fast read if you enjoy books by overly neurotic comics.
  2. I recall the Bills courting Boston in 2017. The story was it came down to LAC and Buffalo, and God told him to choose the Chargers. Still a guy I would consider as a backup.
  3. I feel the same way I do about Joe Douglas as I do Brian Flores. To quote Buddy Nix "A lot of people want to tell you about the labor pains. I say show me the baby."
  4. My oldest daughter started watching the Portland Trailblazers last year, so I ended up watching quite a few games with her. In my mind the 2010 Heat killed basketball as they made it more about the player than the team. I am not sure how the NBA expects fans to be loyal to a team when the stars are constantly changing teams, and the parity is so low. Long story short, I cant devote my time to a game that allows players to carry the ball half way down the court or a game that is essentially a glorified three point contest.
  5. Which is weird because Country is a lot closer to rock than Hip Hop is.
  6. Why does everyone project us signing 3-4 Outside Linebackers? We got pushed around in the Championship game, and the answer is to sign a 6'2 246 pound Edge Rusher to play Defensive End in an even front defense? I wouldn't count on it. If you want to sign a 3-4 OLB to a big deal, bypass Yannick and go get Bud Dupree from Pittsburgh. The guy actually has some size.
  7. That is exactly his worth. I would hope the Bills dont consider anything over that.
  8. Do they have certificates of authenticity with them? If not, a store is probably not going to touch them. There is a marketplace here as well, may be your best bet.
  9. Absolutely not. The guy is 32 years old, and has missed all but 5 games in the last two years. Hasnt had a sack since 2018. Whoever signs this guy, is paying someone who should be retired.
  10. I think if you move on from Brown, you have to at the very least bring in another veteran to compete with Davis in camp. I don't think you leave that to a day 2 pick as wideouts have a long lead time in picking up the NFL game. Best case scenario you keep Brown. But if the Bills do move on from him for cap reasons I am bringing Stills back at 4.5-5 million for next year. He has been in the building and has time on task in the offense.
  11. I agree with Joe. Milano is gone, the Bills simply dont have the money to pay him long term and he doesnt appear interested in taking less money in his first year. I think Dodson is probably more of a replacement level player. If you can get someone better in the draft you go for it.
  12. I think you're grossly underestimating two things. 1. The level of talent John Brown has and 2. What wideouts make in the league. Here are the three wideouts who make between 5-6 million dollars a year in the NFL right now: Willie Snead Cordarrelle Patterson Danny Amendola I am sorry but I think John Brown is a far better player than those three guys. The only player that comes close in terms of production is Amendola, and he eats from the slot, and rarely scores touchdowns. Brown is an outside wideout who can stretch the field vertically, and scores. Amendola was also 34 when he signed his contract. Brown's output is almost identical to Emmanuel Sanders, who just got 8 million a year as a free agent despite being 2 years older than Brown will be when the league year begins. I see only two ways John Brown plays for 5-6 million this year. He either loves Buffalo so much that he is willing to take below his market value to stay, or Buffalo adds a second year to his deal and pushes his market value to the 2nd year. Say what you will but based on current contracts John Brown is not a 5-6 million dollar a year wideout, even with missing time this year.
  13. I am not sure how much less we can pay the guy though. He is already 33rd at his position for pay. I honestly think his current pay is just a tiny bit under what his overall worth is. He had a down injury ridden year, but he is not that far off of his best season in the NFL.
  14. Probably thought he legs would fall off at some point during the season.
  15. Outside of the measureables, I dont know how someone could sit down and talk with Aaron Maybin for more than 10 minutes and not think drafting him was a horrible idea.
  16. They dont. And I've come to believe a majority of the time a Sports Anchor is speaking, or a News Anchor in general for that matter, they are just running off at the mouth without a real understanding of what is coming out. Yesterday I literally heard a News Anchor say "We are losing our kids" about something completely non-related. Too much media. Too many people talking. Its just noise at this point.
  17. What kind of 15 year old is in the 8th frickin grade?
  18. Good man! I meant to say I am in the minority, so it appears one other person has good taste! I also loved the red end zones.
  19. I know I am in the majority but I prefer these uniforms to the current. I cannot stand the current blue jersey on white pants. But as long as they never go back to those God awful early 2000's edition, I am good.
  20. Only if he plays for less money to do so. A lot of money for a 3tech, but stranger things have happened.
  21. 4 is a little low. But I do agree that Spotracs market value for him is high, honestly most of their projections are. He is a guy you pay 5-7 depending on where he starts on the line. If he is your RG you give him a tiny bit over 5, if he is your center its a tiny bit over 7. He is an above average player, but he has also missed games so that needs to be factored in.
  22. I see this too. Lots of big oline talent in the 1st two rounds this year. Could see Alex Leatherwood and Deonte Brown back to back for the Bills.
  23. The Bills dont have a problem with the BIG portion, at least on the O-Line. Its the nasty part they lack.
  24. That Solanine just soaks into your system and off you go!
