  1. The extension itself will not be for anything less than $10 million dollars a year. I know he isnt the most popular player on this board, but he is a good player, probably top 15 at his position. Given the higher salary cap this year his extension probably looks something like 4 yrs/43.5million. The good news is our front office is smart, so they will add money to the last year of his rookie deal and spread the remaining money over the last four years. So essentially you'll get him at $9 million a year for five.
  2. Not usually a big TV guy, but have watched a few shows throughout the pandemic. Peaky Blinders- Incredible show, fantastic writing and acting. Automatically went into my top ten. Dead to Me- Not bad, some funny moments, good waste of time. Afterlife- Better than Dead to me. Love Gervais, looking forward to the next season. Just finished the Mob documentary Fear City very cool to see the inner workings of Guliani starting to clean up the city.
  3. Sadly a lot of these older wrestlers are like the NFLers from back in the day, they helped create a megalith of a company but often end up in poor health and monetary situations. A lot of more wealthy wrestlers, and the WWE itself came out to honor James posthumously, hopefully they did a little to help the guy when he was still alive. Pretty decent article on his struggles below. From Wrestling Legend to Double Amputee- Kamala Keeps Fighting
  4. Probably the same people who think the Niners got a steal paying Kittle five million more a year than the next highest paid tight end.
  5. This is exactly why the deal is so great. You give him a raise on the last year of his rookie deal and spread the rest of the money out over four more years. It pays him in theory like a top five guy over the last four years, but in reality he is getting paid 12.2 a year. Its a fantastic deal.
  6. Had the same thought, but figured I'd get grilled for pointing it out. "I, myself" dont often feel bad for student athletes on full rides to top 100 schools.
  7. His teammates said explicitly that the training staff is not putting their health or safety at risk. The coaches legally cannot tell the kids which of their teammates have COVID or not. The statement wasn't about his real health, it was about his perception of the situation, which is much different than the reality. He got himself in a tizzy and went straight to social media. He has every option to opt out of the season if he feels unsafe. This wasnt about his health, it was about his feelings being hurt and wanting to assign someone blame for that.
  8. Telling how many times the kid used the word "myself" in his statement. Good work on pasting the Seminole logo into word to make the statement look official though.
  9. Hauschka wins the job but Bass is staying around one way or another. I think its most likely on the practice squad. They dont tend to give up on their draft picks quickly. They save 2.5 million on the cap by releasing Hauschka next year and with the potential of a lower salary cap in 2021 I expect Bass to be the guy then.
  10. Oh man, I thought they were just using Washington Football Team for the offseason. What a disaster.
  11. It blows my mind that we are a month away from the season and Washington doesnt have a name.
  12. You nailed it with Michigan. I honestly think Michigan is what brings Harbaugh down, not the other way around. They completely destroyed their program when they fired Carr and replaced him with Rich Rod. The expectations are too high for Harbaugh, a good year for Michigan should be 8 to 10 wins, not getting blown out by Ohio State, and playing in a respectable bowl game. They simply dont have the johnnys and joes to roll with Clemson, Alabama or Ohio State. They should be happy to compete with teams like Florida State, Notre Dame, and Florida.
  13. Cool story. The usual liberal double standard. But keep pretending you actually care about how people are treated.
  14. Do you have memory issues? The Republican party was in the toilet. Jr. Proved to be a complete idiot who should have become an artist rather than running for President. The democrats were wiping the floor with the republicans at every turn and the best answer they had was a devisive mormon. Trump and the tea party movement happened because the republicans were too scared to stand up for what the party base cared about. Id say the republicans are in a much better place than they were 4 years ago because without Trump they were never beating the Clintons.
  15. I have a feeling youre discounting a silent portion of the country who would never tell you they support Trump. But its good your strong about your ideals.
  16. You say women like its every woman. Liberal women think he is a scumbag, they already werent voting for him. Thats your parties problem you generalize because you think your more intelligent than people in the other party. You fail to realize women, and minorities support Trump. Its not just Jed and his cousins in the trailor park like you love to think.
  17. So your avatar isnt an attempt to make light of someone for the circumstances of their birth?
  18. I dont often partake in thsse bit thats a no.
  19. If I had to choose who I'd want out of the division between Brady and Belichick, I would have picked Brady every time. Slice it any way you want he is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, very glad he is gone.
  20. You dont think there are thousands of people that think Jake Fromm is a racist to this day because of one mistake? The reporter can ask the question all he want, but its not his job to decide how its answered. If MLJ wanted a specific answer he should have just interviewed himself.
  21. Exactly correct. Which is why I dont bother having the conversation. Not even with close friends. It's way too easy to label someone these days. We live in a world where we want to sum someone up based on one event, rather than accepting the fact that a person is more than one moment or thought.
  22. And I think it was smart of Fromm. The guy just got crucified publicly. I probably would have reserved my thoughts as well. If the reporter wanted a discussion, have it privately, not in a forum where the guy can be picked apart. If I was Fromm I wouldnt answer another question or send another text for the rest of my life.
  23. This is the type of stuff, intended or not that has our country moving backwards. There is no opportunity for discussion, its one hundred percent about saying and doing exactly what the narrative demands of you. Essentially the demand is to lie and placate rather than being honest about what you truly believe.
  24. Its true. They say it about 20 million times on every broadcast the Broncos play on, the altitude can do weird things to you.
