  1. Agree on the Chiefs oline, but its only in theory right now. The dismantling has to pay off. They signed two very good guards, but still need tackles. I was very surprised they didn't move on from Addison and Butler, but I wasn't overly impressed with the Free Agent pass rushers either. Free Agents tend to get this sort of narrative behind them because they are new and exciting, but you also have to remember they are available for a reason. It's important to use free agency to supplement. Hopefully they can find an edge rusher in the draft!
  2. I think he'd be a great pickup. I also think it's ok to be patient on running backs with Drake, Fournette, Bell and Chris Carson all still unsigned. The longer you wait the better the deal.
  3. Now go back and look how those teams got to the Championship in the first place. It wasnt by winning games 17-10.
  4. If all positions were equal I'd agree with you. Teams around us have gotten better, teams who are in a completely different phase of building than the Bills. There is a reason they had the money to make moves. If we are being honest we'd say teams that didnt make the playoffs last year have gotten better. And getting better just means they've added players to try and get to the level the Bills are already at. When you look at the playoff teams from last year, tell me how the Colts, Steelers, Browns, Ravens, Titans and Chiefs have gotten better during free agency? McDermott said it after the AFC Championship, the Chiefs are further along in their program than the Bills are. Meaning, they know this is about long term growth of the core of the team. Not pieces they are going to go out and hire. The sad reality is the Bills will need to draft well and hope Josh gets to the level where he can go toe to toe with Mahomes.
  5. Absolutely nothing, but its not as fun. Thats what all of the whining is about. People had high expectations for free agency, despite it not being logical and when their expectations werent met, because they never could be, they got sad. Too many people in their emotions.
  6. I love how mad people get when the Bills dont go out and sign a bunch of players. Lets be honest, your anger has nothing to do with whether you think the team is going to be good, it has everything to do with you being bored. If you find yourself angry about free agency you need to do yourself a favor and take a breather from message boards and social media for awhile. Whether the Bills sign Carl Lawson or not, or if the inane rumors about Khalil Mack coming to Buffalo impact your mood that much its time for a much needed time out. If you have to be doing something Football related, go back and watch Josh Allen highlights you'll be reminded the team just went 13-3 and has a Franchise Quarterback for the first time in close to 30 years.
  7. Chung has other business to tend to.
  8. Yes I advocate scoring more points than the other team. The Bills spent too many years trying to not mistakes on offense, and play good defense. It doesn't work and you have years of evidence to prove my point. What works is scoring a lot of points. When you say it doesn't work certain teams like KC, you're making the point about one team out of 32. It doesnt always work against KC because they are smart, they also try to score more points than the other team. The bottom line is winning a championship are insufferably hard to start with, but when you try to win one by playing defense you make it ten times harder on yourself. 17 of the last 20 Superbowls have been won by Hall of Fame, or future Hall of Fame Quarterbacks. Those teams didn't win because they were able to cover Tight Ends, they won because they had the better player behind center on that day.
  9. I wish I could. These threads are tough because you cant look away but they also kill the enjoyment when the signing or trade actually happens.
  10. What happens 1st: Eagles trade Ertz or the Stadium has a new name?
  11. The same way you defend every offense. Score more points.
  12. My Raiders fan brother in law text me and asked me if Jefferson was any good. I told him he is a pretty forgettable player. Wish the guy the best of luck but he was the definition of a JAG here.
  13. She did this same thing to the Bills? Or something actually happened she teased?
  14. Id say 623 follows is pretty legit for a Master of Bird Law.
  15. Been saying this for awhile, we need more people from Nicholls State.
  16. They have nearly identical sack per game output, Hunter is younger but just missed the entire season. The other guy has missed one game ever. Gonna go Mack.
  17. Good move. Perfect type of money for a swing guard who can compete with Ford.
  18. Cards continue their bid to play in the 2013 Super Bowl.
  19. If its Khalil Mack they will make room, there is no doubt in my mind it will be figured out.
  20. Ill be happy if he stays out of the AFC East. I will be happiest if he goes to the NFC.
  21. I think they want to wait to bring someone in to make sure the stink of this season doesnt get on them. Had they fired Krueger earlier I think they probably would have tried to bring in another coach to salvage the season, but it's just too far gone now. I think bringing someone into mess right now may just ruin things for that person next year as well. I think if Boudreau wants into the organization that bad his interest will still be there next season. Like you I am expecting something less exciting. One guy to keep an eye on if they dont bring in someone with NHL head coach experience (they should) is Jeff Daniels the Assistant Coach in Carolina. Played with Adams during his career, and coached him for a year as well.
  22. You nailed it here. I am a big Carson Wentz guy, but he looked like he didnt belong in the league last year. A lot of that had to do with his inability to set his feet without getting trucked, but Ertz gets a pass from me for last year.
  23. I'd love to see Boudreau here, he has taken every team he's coached to the playoffs. He isn't a Stanley Cup coach, but at this point the Sabres shouldnt be thinking about the Cup. They desperately need to fix the festering culture they have and Boudreau can do that in the short term, but I dont think he can be a long term answer due to age. Ideally you could bring in a younger coach, but with how bad its gotten I think you need to bring in someone with some respect in the league.
  24. I'd do it in a heartbeat. The "Two Time Pro Bowl Linebacker" shouldn't be in the Bills plans long term. He will cost too much and he is not nearly good enough after three years in the league. Maybe he proves a lot of us wrong this year, but I think he is a below average middle linebacker who makes little to no impact on the game. If you get Pitts you upgrade your offense, and can still use your second round pick on one of the many good linebacker prospects in the draft.
  25. Even at 34 Sanders is the better wideout right now. Smoke may be the more dangerous wideout, but Sanders is the more consistent. He has far better hands, and more importantly he is more available. The Bills were in a terrible position during the playoffs last year because of injury. Love Smoke, but Sanders is an upgrade.
