  1. Come on, @Augie Let's do it the right way, and start a poll to see if we should turn to the poll to decide.
  2. I wouldn't mind seeing a repeat performance from Eddy O. ?
  3. Word. I can agree with that. (But I still saw some magic, on the few runs he had. We can always hope, right?)
  4. You must be either: 1) A Buffalo Bills coach 2) Stealing Belichick's tapes illegally filmed Bills practices 3) Crazy
  5. Don't sleep on Christian Wade, stashed away as the 11th man on the practice squad through the International Player Program. Wade made a couple of mind-bogglingly electrifying plays in pre-season, and you had better believe he's been soaking in everything, like a sponge, while riding the pine. So, for next year we have Singletary: a Barry Sanders type (without the breakaway speed); Christian Wade: an untapped talent with moves and quickness that have translated to the NFL, albeit in limited snaps; and T.J. Yeldon: a very good pass-catching back, with a smidge of fumbleitis. Gore is most likely not returning--although I wouldn't bet against Frank, if he wants to come back; many have, and he's made a career of proving doubters wrong--so what we may want to consider in the draft is a A/B gap pounder with great blocking skills. These are the kind of backs you can find in the 4th through 7th rounds. They aren't sexy, and they tend to drop because of it. Knowing McBeane's penchant for picking players who play multiple positions, you have to believe this type of player will have to be able to log some special teams snaps, as well. So, that's my theory: we pick up a bruiser-type back who is solid in pass protection, and can play or is willing to play special teams, on the 3rd day of the draft.
  6. Because: 1) You make sense 2) You are not a troll 3) You aren't a TB12 fan Simple, really.
  7. There is a section at the every end of that article that actually names some Bills players, but basically, it just says that the author likes Daboll's use of schemes to cover Allen's shortcomings, and that there was a cool trick play that got us a TD... now that's the kind of reporting that deserves the big bucks, SI... nice job *slow clap* ?
  8. But... but... but I thought the Bills were bad for the Jay-Vee... I mean TV ratings...
  9. Wait... you mean ti say that Robert Kraft has spotted balls? Is that contagious? Does that make Tom the next victim? ?
  10. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️ I quit, @Mr. WEO. I can't keep up with you, bud. Last laugh goes to Weo, for consistently taking logic out back, behind the woodshed, and showing it an alligator in a tu-tu, with an Australian accent, smoking a carburetor from the Hindenburg dirigible...
  11. Yup! @Mr. WEO You are 100% correct: Von Miller did not repeal what Cody Ford said or did; however, Miller DID repeal the claims of many on this board. Nuance, man... N-U-A-N-C-E.
  12. The following is true: "Denver is not a playoff team." I agree. The following is not true: "Let's see how Ford does against a top d-line" The facts disagree: Going into Sunday's matchup, Denver had the 4th best D, and Von Miller is a force. So, I'm 50/50 on the take. Hard argument for me to fully agree with. I'd say Ford did face a very solid D-line, but one that's on a team that is flawed, overall.
  13. Jordan Phillips really deserves a nod. If Aaron Donald goes, and Phillips gets more sacks from the DT position, but doesn't make it, that will--once again--confirm the anti-Bills bias in the media/NFL/refs, etc...
  14. What I do or do not expect is irrelevant. My point is that Ford was starting to become a whipping boy for the trolls here. I let Mr. Miller's description of Ford's play speak in contradiction of what the trolls have been saying, and followed that up with the observation that Von Miller may know more about how well an opposing offensive lineman's play stacks up, than, say, some folks on this board. I'm literally just being a conduit for a well-informed opinion that directly contradicts the hateraide that has recently been served by certain factions on this board. Call it public service.
  15. I know two things: 1) I will get flamed for saying this, on this board (sure: get your pitchforks ready, for me) And 2) This is NOT my take... it comes from the mouth of Von Miller, himself... I'll quit jub-jabbering and let the multi-time all-pro discuss the much-maligned (at least on this board) Cody Ford: https://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-41085879-4 Thanks to Marcel Louis-Jacques for capturing a solid repeal to what this board (not all of you, but many of the trolls on here) has been saying about Cody Ford: namely that he's no good. If Von Miller is complimenting Ford, then I'm beyond fine with Ford's performance. Sorry, Armchair haters, your negative opinions may not match reality... Also, I could be wrong, but Von Miller just MIGHT know more about football than you, and I highly doubt that he's a Bills homer... #gobills #trollscaneatcrow #turnthepitchforksonthetrolls
  16. It was actually for Eli Apple, who I would tend to think of as a bag of apples, rather than marbles. I would also ask the Iggles, "How do you like 'dem Apples?" I'm just Joshing ya, @Inigo Montoya. Great points! (Also, in case you were wondering, yes: I have an advanced degree in Dad jokes)
  17. First game I've made this season (wedding and honeymoon this Fall kept me pretty busy!). Going to the game with my Dad, which will be awesome! Very stoked! Nice weather out here in Buffalo--went on a long morning walk to dry up the alcohol in my veins, from last night. Need some room for more this afternoon. Go Bills!
  18. I see a trend: @Buffalo Barbarian likes the tall picks.
  19. I heard it whispered, in a high level business meeting, that PEDelman is no longer agreeing to change TB12's lace panties between every quarter. He's been angling for once per game, and now Tommy is getting cranky.
  20. And I hadn't even asked for an assessment ???
  21. There... I fixed it for you.
  22. @benderbender Attending some high-level business meetings, I see ?
  23. I must not have heard that second point. Makes sense, in retrospect. Thanks for sharing.
  24. I mean, I know we courted him prior to last year, but didn't have the money to sign him (Thanks, Doug Whaley...). I liked him, then, but yeah... didn't think he would be as good as he's been. Definitely a pleasant surprise!
