Probably one of the reasons the Ravens traded back up into the 1st for him. Someone early in round 2 probably had an eye on him. You have the Giants, Broncos, Phins, Pats in the first 10 to 12 picks in the 2nd round. Broncos are in good shape for Rudolph here if Elway really likes him. Phins are in good shape for Falk and the Pats Lauletta.

I said it a couple of weeks ago that Mayfield and Rosen were not their guys. They didn't fit the culture that they built and continue to build here. As much as I wanted Rosen, I just knew they were not going to take him. Still made me mad, but it's the choice that was made. The only thing I can hope is that the Cam Newton plan from Carolina works out for Allen and that the coaching and game plans are so superb that his present weaknesses are hidden enough for him to be successful. I don't believe they will rush him but OTAs and TC will give us a better picture. Given his competition, I can see him starting by week 8 or 9.

Do your homework. Favre was going to be a Heisman finalist until he got in a car wreck. Played at a small school (Southern Miss) but beat teams like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia. Completion percentage numbers might look the same, but they are not comparable college players.

He's only played 4 to 5 games. Will that transfer over is what I meant.

That's the scary part. I don't think they will rush him but if we are .500 or less after 9 weeks I'd expect to see him soon.

I said it before the draft, no matter what QB we draft, running the football is going to be the key to success in 2018. We're not going to be able to put games on the QB's shoulders so to me, the trenches have to get addressed along with another rusher. Then I think another linebacker on the strong or weak side, wherever Milano isn't playing is necessary. Hell if they play Edmunds on the outside then we need a middle guy. Would love Fred Warner or Dorian O'Daniel so we can try Edmunds at MLB.

Hopefully Miller. Although I don't think they'd take him. I see them taking big body WR's. It's their model from Carolina. Benjamin, Funchess.

Honestly, as I revisit my thoughts and post from a week and a half ago, I don't know why I'm so surprised that Allen is the pick. I guess I just didn't/don't want to believe myself. I said a week and a half ago that the Bills would not take Mayfield if available, I also said the same regarding Rosen. I said I didn't think they would take Rosen or Mayfield because they might have to clean up after them publically and that they did not seem like guys that represent the culture they have built and are building. I then went on to say they had three guys and gave the order. Darnold Allen Rudolph That was my order. I even said they'd probably take Rudolph over Rosen or Mayfield, not at a draft selection point but they'd just wait. I honestly believe it now. If they had lost on Allen, they would have taken Edmunds at 12 and then Rudolph later in rd 1. I'm just mad that this was actually the case. The disappointment and anger will wear off but right now ughhh.

because when your team is picking #1 you don't have to be. As Bills fans, we knew it was going to be difficult to get into the top 5 so our pool of QB's to choose from was much narrower. When we got word that Rosen could drop of course we'd be obsessed with a guy that has shown timing and anticipation, made tight window throws, quick to process the defense most of the time. Why wouldn't Bills fans be obsessed with that given the QB history the last 20 years? This is not to predict how any of them will turn out but it's easy to see why Bills fans would be obsessed with Rosen given the conditions and picture being painted.

I don't think so man. I've expressed being down on the Allen pick, yet I'll be open enough to see what transpires. When I think about our team, I was thinking we needed tp draft a QB that was ready to play right now because AJ and Nate don't really inspire a great deal of confidence. I also thought that Josh Allen needed at least a season and a half to two seasons. These were huge reasons why I did not want us to draft him. My biggest fear is that because his competition does not instill a great deal of confidence that he's going to have to play earlier than I (we) initially thought. I mean even though Allen has his flaws, is it really going to take much for him to beat out AJ and Nate? And if the offense is stagnant out of the gate, fans are going to be calling for it. If we are out of it by week 8 I wouldn't be surprised to see Allen starting before the end of the season. That's going to be the problem. His competition is AJ and Nate, not really very inspiring to keep him on the bench. I think he's going to play this year at some point.

Like I've said in other spots. I'm just meehhh over the pick but hope for the best. The trend is against him to emerge into greatness but hopefully, he's an anomaly and bucks the trend. So him being 14/15 is ok for him to be a racist in his tweets. F that. The interview by Beane and McD sickened me about it. I'm not going to even get into this too much but that **** better never surface as a leader of "the process." Not only do we have to hope that he gets the football stuff corrected, but we have to have that in the back of our mind. Great!! Allen is going to die to. His college tape shows a line exactly like this one. I just feel we don't have the best QB in the division AFTER Brady retires. The Jets do. Of course we couldn't do anything about that since the Giants were not willing to trade. But the Jets getting Darnold just makes me so sick that we have Allen. If the Phins had taken Rosen ohhh man.
