  1. Where does this fall on Cook.....? It doesn't. This is further proof that he wasn't the issue and actually garnered more than he should have? What is your point here? You are all over the place. He had 3.8 yards per carry with blocking that stinks because he got all of his yards AFTER contact.... much better than mediocre. He didnt get "some yards" after contact.. he got basically ALL of his yards after contact.
  2. Ok, 43 of his 46 yards came after contact...... anything else?
  3. It's probably not but for all the people that don't like James Cook or think we need to upgrade: Cook actually ranked eighth at the RB position in avoided tackle rate and earned 43 of 46 rushing yards after contact last week. The notion he doesn't avoid tacklers is nonsense. So hopefully a lot of 12 and a lot of featuring of him, again
  4. This guy clearly doesnt watch the games. Josh Allen is putting too much on himself and trying to do too much. He had receiver's open all game AND he had time to throw.
  5. Yeah I like Dan O too. How good you were doesnt mean you cant coach / know what you're doing.. there are plenty of coaches that weren't successful in the NFL or shoot, even made it in the NFL (our coach). But to be very honest, now that people have calmed down a litttttttttle, the loss was the best thing for the Bills. Josh needs to realize he isnt going to get wins or things handed to him because he's Josh Allen. I think over the next few weeks, Josh will propel himself into the MVP conversation. He needed a wake up call.
  6. LOL it's deceiving to these people even if you put out a FACT... You can't reason with people who clamor for big names for no other reason that to have a big name. JT was below average when his line was below average last year.. just like every single RB in the NFL and NFL history. You pay linemen and your QB.. not your RB ... as history shows. People think that the Bills paying an RB is going to somehow change that narrative.
  7. They also had Tom Brady and a great OL. They still didn't pay them, no matter what anyone says, no team wins paying running backs.. numbers and history do not lie. Kirby Smart? you're comparing the NFL to a team that has 5 5* RB's on their team that play against less competition? Also, James Cook isn't a tackle breaker, he never has been and never will be. You people and your love for RB's is astonishing. Ask yourself, how many Superbowls does Walter Payton, AP, Barry Sanders, etc etc etc have? Good try, it was 2M on the button when they won and anyway, Ronald Jones was their starter per the team website, depth chart, etc. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/tam/2020_roster.htm LOL people and their RB's.. it's so crazy that people want to spend money on a play that is disposable instead of spending that 15M on another linemen... then it wont matter who is at RB.. James Cook is averaging 6YPC since week 14 or so of last year. He is hardly the problem
  8. Please see “starting RB” he was not the starter.
  9. Holy sh-- the boards this morning are amazingggggggg.
  10. Again, why don't people realize that RBs don't make an offense and no team that has won in the last 15 years had an RB that they paid more than 2.5M for? Having Taylor doesn't make the line better. It doesn't make Dorsey's rotation make sense. It does nothing. If you don't have an OL, the RB doesn't matter. People need to stop clamoring for big names. 2 things: 1.) Taylor was great his rookie year with an amazing OL, his numbers last year? not great before injruy. 2.) how do you even know he's healthy? he had season ending ankle surgery and now he has back issues.. SURE LET'S SIGN HIM because he has a name.. Bills fans are soooo oddly obsessed with RBs
  11. Neither did the Chiefs last year.. or the patriots in their dynasty, the eagles has 4 of them on rotation. You don't win by paying RBs.. again, no team in the last 15 years has won a SB by paying an RB... not a single one. i fking hope not man. Like i said in another thread.... Week 1 is a lie. Some teams look better than they are and most look worse
  12. Oh and then Dorsey stopped calling outside zones, sweeps. Runs 2... gets 10 yards per... abandons it.
  13. When will people realize you do NOT win football games / Super Bowls by paying running backs? This board is OBSESSED with RBs. No team who has won the Super Bowl in the last 15 years has paid a starting RB over 2.5M You don't win by paying an RB, these are world class athletes. You win by putting an OL on the field .. the RB is irrelevant. JT was GREAT his rookie year with the best OL in the NFL.. last year, they weren't as good and neither was he. As the OL goes, the RB goes.
  14. I don't think he got heat from people who aren't on ESPN or Bills fans that need something irrational to complain about / create a story that doesnt exist Stef has never been a problem and never will be. He wants to win and that's it.
  15. The implosion on the board is absolutely hilarious. I've seen a topic complaining about everything from last night. It's absolutely hilarious. Like 2 years ago when we lost to the corpse of Big Ben... everyone thought the sky was falling and then Josh went on to have an MVP season taking second in voting.. Bills fans are actually the funniest group of people to watch complain after ANYTHING wrong happens. The most irrational people. Week 1 in the NFL is a lie. It always has been. Teams look better than they are and most teams look worse than they are... cant tell that to the Bills fanbase though..
  16. To be fair, Staley should have been fired after last year maybe even the year before. That roster is full of talent... maybe the most in the NFL and he just can't put it together. It's so mind blowing.
  17. I'm not saying they're not elite or going to be. But 1 double digit sack season in 4 years does not make you a monster.. If that's the case, if Groot gets 12 this year, does he fit that category?
  18. I thought Watt and Parsons were in top 10, that's on me. You uh,,, you may have forgot about Miles Garrett. Both Bosa's ... Judon didn't get double digit sacks until his 6th year in the league.. not by the team that drafted him .. If you want to wait for 6 years to see a "monster" wait on Groot. Maxx Crosby has had 1 double digit sack year. If you call that a "monster" getting 12.5 sacks in 17 games, fine.. LV also doesn't rotate like we do. Highsmith- 3rd year, 1 double digit sack year.. opposite of TJ Watt. Burns- 4 years... 1 double digit sack season... these are the "monsters" we're looking to draft? If that's the case... be patient and Groot should have double this year and would be on par with everyone you mentioned outside of the "monters" i was referring to: Bosa's, Watt, Parsons. Garrett
  19. There are quite literally 3 "monsters" at DE in the league and they all went top 10.... They don't grow on trees there bubba.
  20. Imagine writing all of this up as your prediction and thinking "yepp! absolutely NAILED it!" and hitting the submit button. 75% of me really thinks this is troll post.
  21. Man, you really have no clue on the true nuances of football, huh? Do you "actually read contracts, not just look at stats?" This is a GOD AWFUL take and couldnt be more from the truth. Do you think you know more about the roll over of that cap over acting NFL GMs?
  22. Oh I have no idea, I was just talking about the derp who said Corral wasn't good in college then claimed he "watched a lot of college football" Corral may never translate to the NFL, I was just saying he was a great college QB.
  23. Dude, everyone who says "I actually watch and don't just look at stats" Actually mean, "I saw him play once and I drew X conclusion.." No way in hell someone watched him in college and didn't think he was a stud college QB (he also said he isn't mobile" lolllll) He also said he's small and limited.. He's 6'2 and 215.. he's a big guy LOL .. Maybe he doesn't look at height and weight stats either...
  24. I watch a ton of college football too and actually understand how good Matt Corral was in college. If you do what you say, you'd see the same. So you watch "a ton of college football" and came to the conclusion Matt Corral wasn't good (or mobile) in college but Malik Cunningham was? I don't care if you dont "just look at stats" no player that "wasn't good in college" has over 30 touchdowns. <5 INTs 600 rushing yards in the SEC. If you don't just look at stats and actually watch the game and came to the conclusion he isn't mobile (or good in college), you need to get your eyes checked. Pretty sure he even had a 30 yard run in the NFL this preseason LOL. No.. Not according to @Back2Buff... He "ACTUALLY watches a ton of college football and doesn't just look at stats" and he said Matt Corral isn't mobile... not even with 600 yards... immobile QBs get more than 600 yards every year! Trust him... he "watches a ton of college football"
