  1. They really have. heading out of the eagles game there was so many around here that said week after week every game was “must win” because we would probably lose all four between weeks 13-16, or only win 1. it was foolish then and even more so now. My god I got so annoyed with the “must win” BS.
  2. both those games easily could have been 30+ on the scoreboard. they quite literally shut It down with about 9 min left in the broncos game with great field position a couple times and then shut it down with 7 or 8 minutes left in the dallas game. neither score in the broncos or dallas game is indicative to how well the offense really played.
  3. He’s not really a doubter. He picked the bills to make the playoffs and routinely talks about how much he likes the team. But at the end of the talks he always explains how they need to want more.
  4. I have argued that the biggest impact Charles clay ever had on our team was dropping that game winner in Miami last year..... thanks Charlie.
  5. Did you really just talk about him being on pace for the same amount of picks? That’s a horrible comparison. He only played 11 games last year and will most likely play all 16 this year.
  6. Bomani Jones is absolutely terrible. He KILLED Allen all year in 2018. He can’t go back on it now.
  7. NFL.COM panel voting on awards. not the real deal..... still cool to see though.
  8. Why would he bother? He’s routinely throwing anywhere else on the field to guys that are comically wide open.
  9. I think a better comparison right now is a young Big Ben. He was a more refined passer but less of a threat with his legs. Ben won a ton of games in the 4th quarter after 3 quarters of lackluster play and his defense keeping them in games. Was there a more clutch qb from 05 until about 2010? heck, the year they went 12-4 and won the super bowl in 08, he threw for a mere 3100 yds 17 td and 15 int but it seemed like every week he was orchestrating the game winning drive. Living in Stiller country I couldn’t stand the hype he got with the manner in which he won games. I personally think Ben became a much better qb over the last half of his career..... Now that I’m on the same side of the fence as they were i sorta get it now. Haha.
  10. Stating that without any context of who has played who and the fact that it was only 3 games is stupid and inaccurate. why do you keep arguing that point? It wasn’t a fair assessment. It was completely foolish and any “joe fan” that had watched who pittsburgh had played and how Hodges had attained his numbers should know it was a stupid comment.
  11. Tre named conference defensive player of the week.
  12. I agree. They are gonna have to be road warriors through the playoffs if they want to advance. What better way to gain some confidence that you can travel through the playoffs than with a win in arguably the hardest place to play as a visiting team?
  13. I’m not here to bash Jerry but the 2nd half of your post is 100% wrong. His 10 sack seasons came when he was playing opposite Mario Williams getting double digit sacks and had probowl DT’s Williams and dareus right next to him.
  14. Right. More worried about it through the air with the pats. Their int numbers are staggering. I’d have to look at the numbers but I bet PITT leads the nfl in forced fumbles. It’s sorta their “thing” this year.
  15. Kudos for holding on but if watt doesn’t whiff on it, that thing easily pops out. oh well. Missed opportunities like that on either side of the ball for any team any given week. Not completely but if he had connected like he intended Allen had no chance.
  16. this is a really fair assessment right here.
  17. I act like Allen is still developing, has plenty to work on, has been working with limited resources around him...…. AND STILL HAS SCORED MORE TD'S THAN ALL BUT 5 FREAKING PEOPLE IN THE NFL!!!!! calling allen a bottom 10 qb is absurd. tomorrow and the next day different sites qb rankings will come out from the panels they have vote on it and allen will fall anywhere in between 12-16 most likely. just like he has for a month.... because most people have the mental compacity to use context and their eyeballs for evaluation. ya... so mayfields 17 int in 14 games is on the defensive issues. same as rivers 18 picks.... or darnolds 12 int through 11 games. makes sense.
  18. Mayfield is a complete turnover machine with weapons to spare on offense. the guy has OBJ, Jarvis landry and nick chubb at his disposal.... and he claims he'd be better than allen in buffalo this year..... TRY AND WRAP YOUR BRAIN AROUND THAT. ….. good lord.
  19. there are some names in here that are just flat out comical..... WOW. this speaks volumes about what we are dealing with when you decide to speak on the qb situation.... which sorta stinks because its basically all you decide to speak on.
  20. they list their rankings below their names during SNF. I think I saw he was 10th before sunday night..... about 7 or 8 slots too low. trying to find 9 cb's playing better than white is laughable. and again. they have phillips as the 100th best DT and he's 2nd amongst all DT's in sacks with 9.5 while starting on a front that's part of the 3rd best pass d and 10th best run d in yards allowed..... something doesn't add up there.
  21. Same. I went into them the first 2 months being ready to be irritated. Lately I think they are slotted right where they should be, give or take a slot
  22. I’m surprised you say he works out in the 11-16 range of their rankings because I just read some of their material leading up to the pats game this week and they were absolutely BRUTAL on Allen. Completely over the top. One guy saying they’d be better off putting josh at wr and another saying they’d be better off literally not letting him throw and just run for 80 yds a game.
  23. You could argue a slot or 2 either way but I don’t see any real egregious ranking.
