  1. It’s not a 3 year award so I don’t really know how to respond to this in a “coach of the year” discussion.
  2. I agree mcdermott probably shouldn’t win. But I think I’d go shanny. Splitting hairs though. .... also we more likely than not have 11 wins if our starters played week 17. That “hot” jets team managed to scrape out a 13-6 win over our table scraps
  3. 50 catches for 600 yds in just 14 games while dealing with Kyle Allen and Will Grier is pretty darn impressive for having one feet out the door and being totally done. Not even saying he would entertain it but a one year deal for a big, sure handed savvy vet to help out the young guys would be great IMO.
  4. fair enough.... personally, for me, its entertainment and product on the field. winning is freaking fun.... sign me up for deion sanders every day of the week and twice on sunday. right? speaking of lack of effort.... this guy was promptly escorted out of the league once he didn't have good ole zay jones holding his hand lining him up play by play
  5. you are correct. 1-3... that's a bad team. that changes basically nothing about the factual narrative I've written here. by all means keep cherry picking though.
  6. I’m just a really big believer in separating what sort of people these players are from the results they produce. I literally don’t care what type of person they are if they win. This is a sport. Entertainment. most men in their 20’s and 30’s with a ton of money and an alpha mentality(which is need in the nfl) are gonna be jerks. the bottom line is one qb won games and got sacked a third of the time as the other qb that was losing games and hitting the ground at a record pace for the same team. there are sooooo many qb’s that have lost a ton of games for buffalo. Sorry, but I can’t bring myself to hate one of them that won and actually commanded a solid offense in the process, just because he was a prick. Give me a break people.
  7. In 98 the bills were 0-3 when flutie finally got the starting nod. They finished 10-6, their offense was top ten in points in yards while the defense was 15th in yds and 6th in pts allowed..... looks to me like flutie did plenty of heavy lifting there... if we ever do meet up at a game like we’ve discussed I’m soooooo wearing my flutie jersey. ?
  8. You are honestly just making things up to justify your hate for flutie. I obviously respect you as poster here but one thing I’ve noticed is if you happen to not like a guys character you will go out of your way to fabricate things to support it. fluties “underperforming” offense was ranked 7th in yds and 6th in pts in 98 and then 11th in yds and 16th in pts in 99. He also got sacked a third of the times that Johnson got sacked behind the same exact line. I also saw you said rob johnson did his job that day. LOLOLOLOL. If his job was to do as little as possible, while getting sacked 5 times and giving up a safety and somehow slither his way to a FG at the end.... sure he did his job. You’re gonna falsely accuse flutie of underperforming on offense and then say Johnson “did his job”. Commme on my man! again.... I honestly enjoy your takes around here but you let your judgement of people’s character blind you to the actual facts on the field. It’s the national FOOTBALL league, not the national “he’s swell guy” league. If you wanna say you hated him strictly because he was a jerk then go ahead. But don’t try and back it up by citing his play the statistics and results just don’t support that. that said..... Robo sack, Maybin, and Mills come to mind as players I really grew to despise.
  9. How are the jets just handing out yearly monster deals?
  10. It’s a comically bad ranking. Can you look at a ranking like whites and honestly keep a straight face? as were their team rankings all year.... listen I’ve always approached PFF as a tool in the toolbox of evaluation. Not the end all be all but a solid tool.... this year they had quite a few rankings that seemed laughably bad. It’s hard for me to take them very seriously anymore. I’m only one guy but that’s my take.
  11. Height is slightly overrated and beane said as much in a recent article on “the athletic”. It’s not all about height it’s about finding a wr that will go up and get a ball. Some of the best in the game at that over the last 3 or 4 years have been guys under 6ft. AB made a living outplaying db’s for some of big bens prayers and tyreek hill is all of 5’9 skying above double coverage sometimes to bail out mahomes. I feel like I see little Tyler Lockett make an absurd sideline catch in coverage every couple of weeks for russel Wilson. steve Smith comes to mind as well. Always found a way to fight off db’s and make the tough catch. they need to find dang wr or te with some DOG in them. Somebody to go fight for/make a play when there isn’t one there to be made.
  12. They ranked FIRST TEAM ALL PRO Tre white the 19th overall corner in the league. It’s not just bills fans that seem to think higher of some of our players. Basically everyone else on the planet saw a better player in white than what PFF saw. how can somebody see that ranking and doing anything but laugh? It’s really hard to take that seriously.
  13. Well he sat on nfl live last spring and got made fun of by the whole panel when he stuck his neck out for Allen and predicted Allen and the team would do well. Been posted on here a couple times..... so there’s that I guess
  14. "For me this checks all the boxes for a hot party dip. It's relatively cheap and easy to make, but maybe more importantly, it's great hot, warm, or room temp. And it's also incredibly versatile." now THAT... looks like damn good dip! cheap and easy. versatile.... all the reasons I married my wife really. i'm gonna have to give it a go.
  15. so you agree tre white was the 19th best corner in the league? interesting. that's not being brutally honest. that's brutally stupid
  16. its a clear difference that I caught onto immediately. I don't get why anyone would have a hard time understanding it.
  17. in the broncos game he hit brown in a bucket 8 yds deep into the EZ where the LOS was the 34.... he threw it from the 40.
  18. i'd 100% rather have judon. he's been a better player over the last 3 seasons as a whole. duprees previous career high sack total was 6 and he disappeared during stretches. i'd wager judon gets a bigger pay day.
  19. Judon is gonna get more than Dupree this offseason.
  20. i had a chub for mahomes 3 years ago going into the draft. they didn't draft him... I got over it 3 years ago. I also feel no need to say "I told you so". in 10 years this trade might look a whole lot different. even now it doesn't look awful. i'm happy with our players.
  21. Knock it off. Way too much commonsense here.
  22. Bro.... He went to jail for life. As he should have. What exactly are you looking for? that doesn’t mean there wasn’t other large factors to consider why he did it. One of which is that his head was physically screwed up. But at the end of the day the guy got his sentence.
  23. Comparing kids and video games to an actual medical condition that has to do with brain damage is really foolish. not much else to say on the matter.... Just that that’s really dumb comparison.
  24. The bills defensive unit was basically universally regarded as a top 5 unit.... I have no clue how a unit that finished so high across the board in basically any major stat didn’t have a single guy ranked highly by PFF. These guys said there were 18 corners better than Tre white. How can anyone take that seriously?.... EIGHTEEN I used to, at the very least, value PFF as a small tool in the toolbox when it came to ranking players performance. Nowadays I have a hard time taking them seriously at all.
