  1. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this the schmuck that pounded the table for and brought out every excuse in the book in defense of peterman?
  2. Hands we havnt seen from anyone other than brown all year. stop it
  3. The bills ARE playing today right????
  4. Strong words “ignorance is bliss. He doesnt realize he’s just a zone corner” WOW
  5. i'd let ford and Lee smith lean right on him early and often and run right at him to start..... test that conditioning.
  6. not accurate at all. it was common knowledge that Edelman was a go for that game by the end of the week.
  7. sadly enough. my god, its awful. and I wonder how that's happened every single time I hear it.
  8. I think you missed the whole tone of that comment on the pick 6. He’s literally just stating that he thinks if Allen let’s that happen it’s a bills loss. That’s markedly different than picking them to lose that game. brandt picked them to make the playoffs before the season started, has constantly remarked how he loves the team and any rant he has about them after a loss is basically constructive criticism and stating how we are good enough now that we shouldn’t accept moral victories and should expect to start winning big games such as the pats ones. Which I totally agree with.
  9. at this point and with how he's been playing I honestly think anyone not listing him in the top 3 just hasn't been paying attention.... NFL.com just did a write up projecting the all pro selections from this year and both the writers, one using the "eye test" and the other using "next gen stats" had him getting a nod as one of the 2 corners to grab the honor. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001093805/article/2019-nfl-allpro-teams-eye-test-vs-next-gen-stats-defense Cornerbacks Wesseling: Stephon Gilmore, New England Patriots; Tre'Davious White, Buffalo Bills. Gilmore finally allowed a touchdown in coverage on John Brown's 53-yard bomb in Week 16, leaving White as the cornerback with the most targets (83) without surrendering a score, per NFL Research. It's not every year that the interception leaderboard is headlined by the stingiest cover corners, but Gilmore and White sit atop the charts with six apiece while also ranking first (26) and second (23) in passes defensed, respectively. Gilmore ranked among the top three corners with an opposing passer rating of 47.4. Those numbers are all the more impressive considering New England's secondary lines up in man-to-man coverage as frequently as any team in the league. Gilmore is the key chess piece on a defense that is only the third since 2002 to amass 25 or more interceptions while holding opposing passers to a rating under 63.0. Capable of taking over games by erasing No. 1 wideouts and forcing timely turnovers, White is perhaps the lone week-to-week difference-maker on a Bills squad that reached double-digit victories for the first time this century. Shook: Stephon Gilmore, New England Patriots; Tre'Davious White, Buffalo Bills. Stephon Gilmore has owned the throne as the league's best corner for most of the season, and the advanced metrics back that up. Among those who were targeted 50-plus times, Gilmore was second in catch rate below expectation at -11.8 percent, second in ball-hawk rate (20.8 percent; this is the percentage of targets where the nearest defender made a play on the football), first in passes defended with 20 and tied for the lead in interceptions with six. He also ranked seventh in coverage success rate (60.4 percent) and allowed opposing passers to log just a 38.0 passer rating when targeted, second-best among that group. Only teammate J.C. Jackson, who faced nearly half as many targets (58) as Gilmore (96), was better in that department (allowing a passer rating of 21.8 when targeted). Gilmore's numbers and the tape don't lie: He's a premier cornerback. White's opposing catch rate below expectation is a bit less substantial, but at -8.4 percent, he still ranks sixth among those who were targeted at least 50 times. His hawk rate (20.2 percent) ranks third among that group, and his opposing passer rating allowed is just barely below Gilmore's, at 38.9. White is also tied atop the interception leaderboard with Gilmore at six, isn't far off in passes defended with 17, forces passes into tight windows on 28.6 percent of targets and allows just 4.0 yards after the catch on average. He's right up there with the best in the league
  10. I’d have to say the regular all blues were easily my least favorite combo UNTIL this thanksgiving when they added in the ultra white facemasks and accents. i thought that little change made a big difference.
  11. Total to’s for each is 13. That’s the only similarities of note from their numbers this year. Anyone saying their numbers across the board were similar, this year, quite literally must not have even checked any stats at all.
  12. And do those 2 numbers actually change how inaccurate your statement was? How about we look at total turnovers just like I looked at total td. Both have 13.... so that’s about the only number they are close to being similar. Congrats you finally nailed one. Somebody else earlier in the thread called out how the numbers aren’t even close as well. I love Josh Allen, man. He very well could turn out to be better than watson down the line. But he’s not right now. you saying their stats are similar is extremely inaccurate and uninformed. I have to wonder if you even looked at their stat lines before you said that. It’s scary to me if you actually looked and still came to the conclusion that their numbers were similar
  13. I’m not trying to knock Allen here. Love him going forward. But where on earth are you getting your numbers? watson has 800 more yds passing. A rating 13 pts higher. a better YPA by a full yard comp rate a full 9% better 6 more pass td and 5 more total td. their numbers aren’t even close to being similar. It’s not even really debatable.
  14. There’s always that one guy.... literally nobody in their right mind that knows a even just a little bit about the game and has watched white play this year would say he’s anything less than top 5. what an awful take. And they tried scheming Hopkins away from him all game.
  15. Translation.... I was really wrong about the bills(and a ton of other stuff). so now i'm gonna try and maneuver away from being dead wrong by moving the goal posts and explain it all away. and the bills defensive metrics have been sustained now for 2 seasons. there's nothing flukey about it. the only difference is the offense isn't top 5 in giveaways this year and so our defensive points allowed isn't completely skewed(like last year) by dealing 30+ turnovers.
  16. exactly. he's the best short yardage runner we have... if anything it should go in the "plus" column for Allen.
  17. i guess i'll just be heading up sunday for the party....
  18. Right? What’s up with the hard-*** routine in a meaningless season finale? They can’t even play spoiler. The game has zero meaning. maybe save it for next years season opening meltdown.
  19. baker with his 20+ turnovers while having weapons like OBJ and landry still ahead of allen…. that's HILARIOUS. allen has clearly been better this year than everyone but Jackson.
  20. remember all the crap we got thrown our way when the rumor was AB wouldn't come to buffalo? that's ok Smoke comes and gets his career highs heading into the PLAYOFFS... then remember all the crap dallas social media gave Beasley when he chose buffalo? on his way to career highs across the board as he heads into the PLAYOFFS.
  21. its too bad watt will be back. their defense is night and day with him in or out of the lineup.
  22. i know its kind of foolish but I feel the same way. 11-5 looks much better than 10-6. especially coming off a win..... plus i'd really like to see Allen get to 30 total td on the year. he's at 29. the greedy fan in me wants to see them play allen and the boys and beat the breaks off the jets because i'll be there. its completely foolish and I agree with you. but i'll admit i'd like to see allen get to 30 tds…. at least the party beforehand is always a great time! HAHA. ….. what a problem to have as a fan, right?
  23. Play not to lose against the pats.... you’re gonna lose
  24. That’ll loosen up that box bit!!!! ..... that’s what she said
