  1. it was a really nice throw and I thought the replay showed it got into this chest. tough catch, but I thought he needed to haul it in. allen wasn't good, pass catchers weren't good, line wasn't good.... yuck.
  2. If the scores had been flipped and Allen won with the same stat line as Jackson. The narrative amongst fans and in the media would be that he rode his defense to a win. but Jackson did it and he’s the darling right now..... so MVP I suppose. he should be in the discussion, but all week all I saw was the bills were gonna have to deal with this unstoppable force. I read ravens fans talking about Jackson romping all over buffalo because he did it to other solid d’s.... none of that happened. Half his freaking passing yds came on one busted play. Cripes.
  3. I feel like I’ve seen more from @ScottLawtoday than I have in the last month combined. he’s feeling it today. Allen has a rough one and the darnold to Anderson combo led the jets to an impressive ONE POINT win vs the fins.
  4. preface my comments by saying i'm not trying to be an overly defensive jerk. this post took a lot of thought and I appreciate it. here's the thing.... you basically preface it all by saying you don't think its gonna be a "walkover" game..... …… and then proceed to sorta slant the narrative towards it being a walkover game. haha.
  5. his benching this year could have sent him in a couple different directions. some of them not so good.... way to RISE UP, young man!
  6. really cool read! thanks for posting. I literally just got done reading it and came here to see if it had been posted yet. saved me the work! my favorite part was how he ended it: "Overall, I believe the Week 14 matchup between the Ravens and Bills will become a teachable moment for executives and coaches around the league. Using Jackson and Allen as examples, decision-makers should encourage their scouts to focus on QB prospects' positives, use their imaginations during projections and find out more about their football character. Most importantly, they should urge their evaluators to keep an open mind when assessing athletic playmakers with a few flaws in their games. With Jackson and Allen poised to lead their franchises into the playoffs despite the imperfections in their games, scouts better learn their lessons before dismissing a potential gem in a future quarterback class." ….. also if I remember correctly brooks was a fairly aggressive allen detractor as recently as this last summer.
  7. right. I was hoping it would trend that way. I think my initial comment was from 3 days ago, and I've already admitted to somebody else in this thread that my initial post was a bit of an overreaction and that I hoped it'd be packed by sunday.
  8. he was just trying to make a point about what I said and basically ended up looking like a complete jerk and calling out anyone else that's not a season ticket holder in the process...… and to that point. lets be honest. how many season ticket holders actually go to all the games anymore and how many sell half of them and only make it to a couple? last year I made it to 7 games including drives to Lambeau and indy. that's probably as many, if not more, than a lot of people with seasons. quite a bit of travel for the casual fan, right? LOL. point is holding seasons or the amount of games attended isn't what makes a fan. the other point is, whether I can make that ravens game or not, in my small meaningless opinion it will be slightly embarrassing(for the whole fanbase) if they cant pack the house as they've been able to pack it numerous other times early in the season for less meaningful games.
  9. he's pissy because I said "its sort of embarrassing" the stadium isn't sold out and tickets are cheap for such a big game when I cant even make it there myself. he then decided to try and turn it into some sort of douchey fandom pissing contest..... regardless of if I can make it or not, its slightly perplexing, and mildly embarrassing for the fanbase AS A WHOLE, that its a such a huge regular season game and they aren't able to sell their tickets. I've been to more than enough games to have that sort of input on the situation. basically he's saying that if you don't own seasons(which I've owned in the past) or go to every single game then you aren't nearly the fan that he is and have no say on the topic..... understandable, right??
  10. I think he's one game changing play in the ravens, steelers or NE games from being named an all pro this year.... his rep has been snowballing bigger and bigger all season.
  11. i'm pretty sure that's the dude that's so insecure in his man-hood that he rips on anyone that wears a jersey of a bills player as well..... complete tool. EDIT: just saw the last line of his post at the bottom. yup, its him.
  12. I think it’s gotta be Tre at the moment. Been great for 3 seasons now. He makes plays in MASSIVE moments.... and I find myself just about cracking up every time he’s in front of a camera
  13. as a betting man i'm all about odds.... long win steaks have even longer odds. especially ones that keep beating good teams.... yup. that's what i'm hanging my hat on this week. haha.
  14. I've had'm before bud.... there was a lot more to that post but it honestly woulda made me look like about as much of a jerk as you regularly look like around here. so I kept it classy..... you wouldn't understand.
  15. correct. if you take them to cover at +6.5.... or you could take them on the moneyline to just win as dogs straight up and the payout is better
  16. I've seen 3 lists this week that have our BILLS QB inside the top 15.... its 3/4 through the season and we have what would looks like a consensus top 15 qb still ascending!
  17. thanks for the links man...I just tossed this in another thread but i'll toss it in here too. NFL.com's season long qb rankings....http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001084167/article/qb-index-week-14-lamar-jackson-still-no-1-josh-allen-surging …. I saw another list earlier in the week with him at 12. EXCITING TIMES! #13 Josh Allen Individual Rank: Bhanpuri: 13 | Blair: 15 | Filice: 11 | Parr: 14 2019 stats: 12 games | 61.5 pct | 2,591 pass yds | 7.1 ypa | 16 pass TD | 8 INT | 430 rush yds | 8 rush TD | 3 fumbles lost Bhanpuri: Allen has jumped up 14 spots on this list since Week 2 thanks in part to several superb performances like the one he produced on Thanksgiving Day. We've received a lot of heat lately from Bills Mafia for our, perhaps, overly cautious wait-and-see approach to elevating the second-year pro higher in our rankings. To that, I point to the first five weeks of the season, when Allen's play morphed from one week to the next as it often did in Year 1. Week 1 (passer rating): 71.2 Week 2: 101.1 Week 3: 81.1 Week 4: 24.0 Week 5: 98.3 So forgive us for wanting a bit more consistency from the signal-caller. Well, we asked for it and Josh Allen gave it to us. After last Thursday's signature win at Dallas, continuing a magnetic seven-week run since Buffalo's Week 6 bye, the rocket-armed passer has certainly offered up enough evidence to warrant a massive jump up the rankings. Although his accuracy still has room for improvement, his decision-making has been markedly better, as evidenced by his 16 total touchdowns (11 passing, 5 rushing) against just two giveaways in his last seven games. What better way to vault into the top 10 than to outduel the guy sitting at No. 1? Sunday should be fun
  18. Chris Simms, a guy that pounded the table for the bills and Allen all summer, always brought up a good point about Allen in the past.... if Wyoming had ran nearly the amount of screens OU did for Mayfield(simms gave an exact number), Allens comp % would have been massively improved and the narrative on him coming out would have been completely different.
  19. Allen came in pretty high on NFL.com season long qb ranking list this week! up six slots from his position last week... i'll toss this link in here because its also from NFL.com and sorta supports the whole "progression" theme. this is actually the 2nd list this week that I've seen him come up inside the top 15. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001084167/article/qb-index-week-14-lamar-jackson-still-no-1-josh-allen-surging #13 Josh Allen Individual Rank: Bhanpuri: 13 | Blair: 15 | Filice: 11 | Parr: 14 2019 stats: 12 games | 61.5 pct | 2,591 pass yds | 7.1 ypa | 16 pass TD | 8 INT | 430 rush yds | 8 rush TD | 3 fumbles lost Bhanpuri: Allen has jumped up 14 spots on this list since Week 2 thanks in part to several superb performances like the one he produced on Thanksgiving Day. 20. Now we are taking out high scores to try and prove the point. Solid. And if we are taking our return td’s. We need to do it with every other team. We only have one. Other teams have 3 or 4. You are apparently missing the point. You just did what the whole league does to the bills. It’s silly. Why bother trying to take away from what they’ve done? 6 winning teams down in their 8 game streak. That’s just crazy. 3 of which are regarded the best of the best. and Jackson has been electrifying compared to the WHOLE NFL. That’s why he’s favored along with Wilson for the MVP.
  21. This sounds like what the media and other fans do with the bills. they’ve beat 6 teams(Texans as well) with winning records in their 8 game streak. 3 of which are regarded as top 5 in the NFL. It’s been a truly amazing run. why do people feel the need to downgrade it or do the same thing to it that the rest of the league does to our bills? Not a great look.
  22. Is the OP still pissing and moaning about the offense after averaging 28 a game over the last 3? I’ve always made sure to credit him for his consistency.
  23. Just saying that the ravens have only one more win than the bills and leaving out the fact they’ve beaten the niners, seahawks, pats, Steelers and rams is sorta just putting your head in the sand. I think we may nip the ravens this weekend. I think the bills are a damn good team...... but the ravens string of victories against some of the best in the NFL pretty insane. ... I do agree on the pats game though. I’ve thought ever since it happened that if allen stays in there he finds a way to get it done. That’s just been his “thing”
