  1. Personally, I’d love to remake the DT room with some big bodies. Trade Oliver and get some space eaters. Maybe we do take a LB early, but if it’s Bernard, we’d have two undersized LB’s on a team that plays base nickel. I want the middle of our DL just plugging holes and pushing the pocket back. We can get pressure with Von, Rousseau and hopefully a veteran EDGE, along with blitzing Bernard (or whoever) and Milano. I don’t know that there’s a pass rushing DT available where we draft.. maybe that guy Benton our Bills podcasters like.. so just get big and strong up front.
  2. That’s reportedly where the trade is going to be centered around … Day 3 picks. Reporters saying it will likely look more like the Cooks/Dallas trade. The kicker is probably how high of a pick(s) do we need to go in order to have AZ eat as much of the cap hit this year as they can.
  3. KC can probably offer a better trade package, unless we entertain moving Davis, but they only have 5M in cap. That’s after their restructures. I know they can surely find a way to get the money, but they’ve won Super Bowls without handicapping themselves a ton in future years (as have we, minus the Super Bowls) … not sure they want to start doing that now.
  4. This. Hopkins would be the final piece added to the core of Von, Hyde, Poyer and White. It’s a 2 season (I expect Hyde to be extended) Super Bowl run with them, along with Diggs in his prime, before we likely see quite a bit of roster retooling. Beane starts trading RD1 & RD2 picks for mega contracts and doing massive void years, then sure, future be damned, but we aren’t remotely close to that.
  5. Giving up Shakir would definitely be a tough pill to swallow. Probably depends what their view is of Davis. Signing Hopkins doesn’t prevent a long term deal for Davis. However, if they do extend Davis… The next two years are pretty much locked in as Diggs - Hopkins - Davis - Harty … where is Shakir fitting into all that. He’ll be on the final year of his rookie deal, barring injury, before we can get him on the field… unless he beats out one of the top 4 or we let Davis walk… in which case, Shakir as the WR3 would be nice to have in our back pocket on a rookie contract for a couple years.
  6. I’ve always viewed this trade as being picks for Hopkins …. Better picks for Hopkins and AZ eats some cap. If I had to guess, that’s where we’re at in negotiating. Or some corresponding moves involving Oliver etc., going back to AZ to another team to clear cap and recoup a Day 3 pick.
  7. Reports are that it won’t be a ton of comp. More like Day 3 picks. Shakir and a 3rd would qualify as alot, imo. Although they did start randomly talking about “what if AZ wants Shakir?” on WGR yesterday with Schopp, Bulldog and Sal.
  8. Makes it come across more likely as his agent name dropping KC to Wilson, as to put a little added pressure on BUF to get this thing done asap. Not sure we’re really worried about negotiations if the other teams are Vegas, Baltimore etc., especially if Beane knows Hopkins wants to come here.
  9. These comments make me way more irrationally annoyed than they should. I mean, I get it… But, no, they don’t… They have Kelce. We have Diggs. Adding Hopkins to either team has the same effect. Opposing teams have to figure out how to stop two elite receiving weapons with a good supporting cast of WR/TE’s around them. Difference between the two offenses (around their QB) right now is Andy Reid and their elite IOL Hopkins, for us, helps even the playing field.. and maybe even ascend past them.
  10. Is Ken Francis and Lamar’s total home gym not entertaining enough for you?
  11. This tweet is just … amazing
  12. After these next two seasons, we likely are retooling around Allen with Diggs, Dawkins, White and Von maybe still here, maybe not, maybe in different roles… but Hyde, Poyer, Morse… that core likely gone. Id agree … get Hopkins here for 2 years, make a run.. then retool with some cap space and new focal players around Allen. In the meantime, get Hop and nail these drafts to create a baseline to win a Super Bowl and carry through the transition while remaining contenders every year we have Allen.
  13. We won’t. Beane isn’t trading away all our picks and our QB isn’t falling apart.
  14. If he goes to BUF or KC, one of us immediately becomes the scariest Offense in the NFL, but if he goes to KC.. it’s the thing of nightmares. Elite IOL, elite OT, Hopkins and Kelce, with MVS to stretch the field, a RD2 pick in Sky Moore and whatever they intend on doing with Kadarius Toney. At least, with BUF, teams can hope we don’t address OL any further.. Bates/Brown don’t get better.. and the right side of our line can be collapsed. That Chiefs team would have zero (on paper) offensive weaknesses.
  15. Ive thought this since yesterday. Does he want to win a SB here, become a legend or be the NFL KD ring chasing on a team that just did it?
  16. The Chiefs simps on this board are so over the top. Heaven forbid they don’t have an elite WR to go with their elite DT, elite TE, elite OG and elite OT that they’ve paid.
  17. They have 5M in cap space. Who are they trading or restructuring? They just did Mahomes a week or two ago.
  18. Pac Man Jones listed five teams and the Ravens are reportedly out, ditto for the Pats (heavily rumored w/ Jeudy), which leaves the Bills and some teams I highly doubt Hopkins would negotiate $$$ in good faith with.
  19. Google with an interesting headline when you search “Deandre Hopkins”…. Scroll down to Top Stories.
  20. As it stands, I think we're pretty close. Chiefs OL vs Bills OL (Chiefs) Kelce = Diggs MVS/Moore/Toney etc vs Knox/Davis/Harty etc (Bills) Chiefs RB's vs Bills RB's (Bills)
  21. Bills go one day without a player posting cryptic messages challenge. Impossible.
