  1. We’d like your $5M underperforming, yet talented WR please. We’ll give you our $10M underperforming, yet talented DT. Hello? …? I think they hung up.
  2. He has a knack for getting tough yards. Uses his power well, understands angles and has the ability to knife through contact. He takes that off Allen’s shoulders and is elite in pass pro. I get why people don’t want him. I would, for cheap.
  3. Which is why we should only sign him, or any RB, for cheap. If he had burst, we wouldn’t be able to afford him.
  4. -Big Back -Instinctive / Gets the tough yards -Good in pass pro Checks all the boxes
  5. While this is true, we’d have him at 5M next year and the 5th year option the following year. Two years to decide if we pay him. If we do, his big cap hits would come as Diggs cap hits are phasing out… would be tricky though as there would be a couple years of overlap.
  6. If.. big if.. our OL is much improved next year, we could probably be pretty dynamic with Knox being freed up to be more of a receiving option. He stayed in to block a lot by necessity, but if our top 3 can be Diggs-Knox-Davis, with Shakir and Harty, I do think Allen would carve people up. However, if either Diggs or Knox go down for any period of time.. good luck .. and I don’t necessarily trust that they’ve fixed, or will fix, the OL. Time will tell, but they very clearly need another piece, at least, added to the Offense. A stud on the OL, a WR2 or a random piece like Henry. Ideally he gets 2/3, and if I had my way.. bye bye Oliver and Allen gets all 3 added pieces by the time we take the field in September. As we stand, Allen is pretty clearly behind Mahomes, Burrow and Tua in OL/Weaponry… more on par with Herbert and Rodgers.
  7. Given the fact we’ve NEVER been ones to neglect defense.. im not too worried about their plan for MLB.
  8. Can we not do this? Especially knowing what we know now.
  9. Can only control what we can control. I think Poyer and Hyde have two high level years left in them. I love Elam’s potential. Follow the Gators pretty closely down here and may be higher on him than some. Taron Johnson is top tier in the slot. Good depth with Benford and Jackson. Hinges on Tre White becoming 80-90% of what he was pre-injury.
  10. Draft a Safety on Day 3, extend Hyde to match Poyer and this secondary looks absolutely phenomenal for the next couple years.
  11. Normally I’d agree, but Nolan Smith would be about as good of a chance as well ever have to get an elite pass rusher in the draft during the Josh Allen era. Similar to Rousseau, missing a season may cause him to drop.
  12. I know I’m constantly pounding the table for Offense, but I might add Nolan Smith to that list. He may be there at 27, has elite traits, and would be well served to learn under Von Miller.
  13. People hate on Zeke, and who knows if he’d come cheap, but he has a nose for short yardage. We are building an athletic, pass blocking OL. These dudes are not going to be knocking people back. Someone like Zeke, who is strong and knows how to knife/angle for that yard, makes a lot of sense. He’d also be a perfect compliment for Cook as a RB duo. Good in pass pro as well.
  14. Not really interested in Phillips or Lawson. One can’t stay healthy and the other doesn’t provide enough juice given Von may miss time and AJ/Basham can’t really be depended upon to make a jump. If we don’t trade Oliver, just draft a a space eating DT in RD3 or RD4. We have nobody under contract for ‘24. As for EDGE.. unless we’re signing Wagner, I think spending on someone with legit pass rush ability has to be the move.
  15. Pats could certainly be a thorn in the side of the globalists this season.
  16. Fair enough. Your point is valid in context. Id argue they had more options 1-5 (1–4 after Hardman got hurt) than we did, and when discussing WR’s I’m factoring in TE play, so Kelce and Knox. However, yes, I do feel we have a much better defense than KC heading into next year… but they still have the edge, by a lot, on the OL and at TE … and are still good enough (given they're elite at OL/TE) in their WR room with MVS, Toney, Moore that I’m sure they’ll add to. Diggs is proven. Knox & Davis we’re still kind of hoping. Shakir & Harty are unknowns. That’s a lot of uncertainty at weaponry for Allen. Especially when we’re not really loaded anywhere on Offense. It’s middle of the pack units (until proven otherwise) everywhere … RB, OL, TE, WR.
  17. Putting on my GM hat, if we have 11.5M currently, that accounts for about 9M of it. I’d probably be trying to work with Hyde and Jones with extensions that could free up another 3-4M this year. Would give us enough money for one more impact signing/trade and then it will be fill-out-the-roster time. Still hoping for an Ed Oliver trade so we can really make some moves, but not getting my hopes up.
  18. I won’t, but… Tell me how they have an elite OL. Tell me how they have the best TE, maybe, ever. Tell me how they still managed to have MVS, Juju, Toney & a RD2 Pick .. even with Hardman going down to injury. We are not the same.
  19. Pack already know this year is a “see what we have in Jordan Love” year. Id roll the dice and if Rodgers blows it up by having to stay in GB or retire, so be it. The Jets are leveraged to the hilt to get the deal done. If it all falls apart, we’re thinking -nobody- at any point this year, calls Green Bay? Injuries, draft not falling the way they expect, change of heart by an owner/gm… I have to think someone would rescue Green Bay’s GM before the season starts if a Jets deal he hardballs falls apart.
  20. It makes all the sense in the world to extend Hyde to match Poyer, along with Daquan Jones so we can have literally one DT under contract for ‘24. As long as all parties are willing, I’d think we could see both happening at some point.
  21. A fan tweets at Cole about the “Rodgers is better right now” part of the tweet. Which is the sole reason Beas is taking heat for what he said. Cole responds with Rodgers stats for the past 3 years. Lol, ok.. guess we have different frames of reference for “right now”. Oh, and also, Gabe is a Top 5 WR2… apparently.
  22. If we’re simply sticking with Diggs-Davis-Shakir-Harty, then yea.. I might agree.. why not keep McKenzie as WR5. But that’s not a Championship caliber WR room, imo, and I hope this signals that - at the very least - Shakir and Harty are getting bumped down a slot in the WR room pecking order. If that’s the case, McKenzie not playing ST’s, at a 2.5M cap hit, doesn’t make a ton of sense as WR6.
  23. Even if Singletary wants to come back on the minimum deal, his skill set is not what we need. Power. Back. Someone to take short yardage from Josh Allen. That’s not Singletary.
  24. Not sure I blame him though… Carr isn’t getting through the gauntlet that is Mahomes, Allen, Burrow etc in the playoffs, and when the Jets have to pay their young players, they’ll no longer be a fringe contender with him. Rodgers gives them 1-2 years of being, potentially, a legit contender .. and then it’s back to the drawing board. …but Carr isn’t the answer, unless the question is “how can we be a perennial playoff contender?”
  25. I’ve defended Cole quite a bit .. yea, I’m done. Simping to get on Rodgers wish list .. didn’t see that coming.
