  1. We really can’t just go into the draft with Bernard and Dodson as the penciled in starter at LB opposite Milano? Were looking at a Defense that now features: Von Miller Daquan Jones Ed Oliver Greg Rousseau Matt Milano ??? Taron Johnson Kaiir Elam Tre’Davious White Jordan Poyer Micah Hyde Heaven forbid we don’t address that final open slot with a stud. Meanwhile.. Allen gets a solid RG and a McKenzie replacement so far.
  2. We throw the ball a ton. Theoretically, a WR4 should be a legitimate player on this team. That’s currently where he’s slotted, behind Diggs, Davis and likely Shakir. Ideally we sign/trade/draft a legit WR2 and bump everyone down a spot. THAT would be a WR room worthy of our QB and in developing an Offensive Identity.
  3. MVS, Toney, Moore, Ross(?) along with Kelce Were looking at Diggs, Davis, Shakir and Harty along with Knox. Are we really that far apart currently?
  4. Could be Benford.
  5. We just signed an athletic Guard who excels in pass blocking over run blocking.. to go with our other Guard who is the same, along with our Center.. same. We’re not a running team. We have zero need for a high paid RB1, RD2 RB2 and well paid RB3. It’s overkill. We just need a big back for short yardage/goal line/change of pace to pair with Cook and Hines.
  6. We constantly go into the Draft with the Offensive equivalent of Bernard/Dodson as the pre-draft answer to a position, and hardly anyone bats an eye … yet if we do it on defense at LB of S (the two least important positions in modern defense) the sky is falling for some folks..
  7. McGovern 4M + Harty 3.7M (- McKenzie 2.5M) = 5.2M spent on new acquisitions, theoretically. Re-upped Martin + Matakevich = 4M’ish on re-signings. Cam Lewis and Tyrel Dodson aren’t affecting the cap much. Dane Jackson tender 2.7M Around 12M tied up so far .. assuming McKenzie isn’t long for the roster.
  8. Agree. Shakir & Harty is a nice potential duo in the slot, with both having the ability to also play outside.
  9. 3.7M cap hit this year, with an out next year if it doesn’t work out.
  10. That would be a mistake. Bills aren’t serious if their plan for Josh Allen is to hope a small guy who was hurt all last season stays healthy this season and Davis/Shakir both make the needed jumps to fill WR2 and WR3. They all could … but hope isn’t a strategy.
  11. Maybe I’m wrong, but if this means McKenzie gets cut … just view this move as replacing 2.5M McKenzie with 3.7M Harty. Bills paying an extra 1M for a guy they think could boom in our offense. McKenzie had his chance and it didn’t exactly work out. If they don’t address WR2, then my entire view of this signing changes. However, I think we will.
  12. Even Brandin Bryant has had games where he looked great for us. Doesn’t mean he’s worth a big time contract. Oliver is the guy that I just don’t understand where podcasters I respect like Joe Marino, constantly get defensive over … “Well, you traded him, what’s the plan!?” … the plan for what?.. a guy who only plays above average when healthy and everyone around him is healthy? Draft a DT on Day 2.. that’s my plan.
  13. Im, perhaps wrongly, assuming that the Bills still have a plan for WR2. If they do.. Spending an extra 1.5M this year to replace McKenzie with a risk/reward guy who could boom in this offense is the type of move I hope Beane is always willing to make.
  14. Yea.. I’m gonna go ahead and assume McKenzie’s tweets mean nothing. No moves since he tweeted all that.. aside from his replacement being signed.
  15. Eagles and Bengals taking it on the chin this off-season. I get why the Eagles are struggling to keep guys.. even though Hurts is on a rookie contract, they went bonkers all in this past year. Not sure what the Bengals issue is … I guess making sure they’re able to keep Burrow/Chase/Higgins together?
  16. You’d still think Beane would give Diggs a heads up. There would, hopefully, be some communication there.
  17. Diggs WR1 Free Agent/Trade WR2 Davis WR3 Harty WR4/SLOT Shakir WR5/SLOT Yea.. that room would be 🔥
  18. Bills have given zero indication, that I know of, that he could get traded. Fans/analysts just see him as an obvious trade candidate, given plenty of teams were high on him out of college, he’s a good player with potential, and the Bills could certainly use 10M and a draft pick if they don’t believe he’s in the plans after this year. We also currently have zero DT’s under contract after this year … can’t really see it staying that way heading into the season.
  19. Saints fans on Twitter all like him. Consensus: -Tons of potential -Wish he wasn’t injured all last year so they could’ve seen what he’s capable of -Saints have no money and think they found his replacement last year anyway
  20. Reportedly we were bidding against the Chiefs.
  21. The initial contract was jarring …. AGREED Actual numbers aren’t bad at all. 3.7M cap hit this year. Cutting McKenzie offsets is by 2M+. We’re signing a slot WR with return ability that ran a 4.3 … Bills are taking a swing on an untapped potential guy.
  22. I like how we signed this guy.. yet McKenzie is trending nationally on Twitter.
