I mean, yea I’ll give props to him for that. We’re a potential playoff matchup and/or team that keeps them out of the playoff. He could’ve taken us out. Cant say the same about Trey Hendrickson.

November vs December & January Bills Football
SCBills replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It gets dicey but every game is not a must win. That’s insane to say. 13-4 might be enough for the 1 seed if NE didn’t have the most cake schedule that ever caked. 10-7 probably gets us in with our tie-breakers. -
With us losing Thursday Night, I’m over the Division race and honestly might rather CIN view Baltimore on Thanksgiving as their do or die game. Beat BAL, great. Keep stacking Ravens L’s. Lose, ok.. might just shut Burrow back down for our game as their season will be over. At the very least, they’ll have shot their shot and would come into our game with nothing to play for.

Having tie-breakers over Baltimore and KC is a big reason why. Beat the Steelers and we’re at 8-4 with a tie-breaker over them too. Lose and it’s gets real, but also helps keep PIT in the drivers seat for the division, knocking BAL with our tie-breaker, into a more likely WC race. -
The more time that passes from the Houston game, the worse it gets. Houston players basically laughing at our Offense and NFL tape breakdown guys on social media all but calling Brady a clown.

Bills are Fool's Gold: Intentions Versus Results
SCBills replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
Funny thing is, a lot of people here predict we’ll lose in the Div Round.. If we’re a WC, unless Pittsburgh holds onto the Division, Jax takes the South or we play NE, winning the WC Round likely means beating one of Denver, Indy, Houston (dark horse) or Baltimore on the road. If we win that game, on the road, I’d think we’re going to the Super Bowl tbh. Would mean we beat an elite defense or elite run game on the road. Two things that give us issues and we’ve never won a road playoff game with this group. The way this year is set up, our WC game could very well be a tougher matchup than the Divisional Round. -
Bills seem to be going through the motions but get up for big games. They don’t get bigger than the Playoffs. Offense will likely look less clunky because they will use JA designed runs to loosen up the Defense. They clearly, in recent years, hold that element back for big games and the postseason.

To add to the points made about confusion, there were so many times against Houston where Allen was having to hurry the snap as the play clock wound down under 5… and everytime it happened, the Houston DE’s were shot out of a cannon anticipating the snap. This team has every element of a poorly coached team, on both sides of the ball. Josh even had his hesitation moment in the Q&A where he had to decide whether to throw Brady under the bus a bit and finally decided to say that failed 4th down call where Cook got stuffed came in late and he should’ve used a TO. Nevermind how many times this Defense isn’t set when the opponent snaps it .. which is being scouted as teams know we communicate late in the clock and get set late. Poor tackling on Defense, poor effort on Offense. Only hope is that they do get up for big games and they don’t get bigger than the Playoffs. -

Division is out at this point…have to do it as a wildcard
SCBills replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Burrow not coming back for the Patriots game. Pats probably take this game fairly easily and maybe it’s for the best so we can focus on just getting a WC and then rest guys Week 18. As far as KC & BAL go.. Charvarius Ward just got activated, so they’ll have Ward and Sauce out there against KC Sunday. Burrow’s likely return will either be off a surprise W over NE or, with a loss, as a last gasp, do or die game against Baltimore Thanksgiving Night. Either way, if he comes back, with Chase returning, that game has juice as a possible Baltimore L. At this point, I think im just rooting for the Bills to get in and KC/BAL to get left out. Then let the chips fall where they may. -
We’ve seen plenty of players hold on and alligator roll in that situation.
-
Division was never meant to be ours. NE gets CIN without Burrow and Chase and play TEN/NYG in place of HOU/PHI for us. It is what it is. He’ll be back for Baltimore on Thanksgiving it seems, with Chase, and I’m ok rooting for anything that keeps Baltimore out of the playoffs at this point.

Long list of Bills UFA / void year after the season
SCBills replied to GoBills!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
This is how he saves his ‘24 class. If SVPG and Grable are dudes.. well ok, give me a stud starting Safety and two good OL from that Draft and we can relax a bit on the draft discourse. -
“Maybe”?.. Yea, no way someone who’s gone through everything he has, and has a family that adores him, can change… How is this even a question?
-
Losing Bernard for 4 games is probably best case scenario for the defense because it forces McDermott to sit him, get him healthy and play Shaq. TB being a captain, I just don’t think they were ever going to do this voluntarily. Spencer Brown hurts. Hopefully he can come back at 80-90% for the Playoffs, but it sounds like he won’t be fully right until he gets surgery in the offseason. Van Demark is a decent player and we’ll see if they activate Grable, who we keep hearing they’re really high on, but where Brown hurts the most is the run game. RVD can give us decent pass pro, but he’s not the psychopath athletic freak that Brown is in the run game.

Long list of Bills UFA / void year after the season
SCBills replied to GoBills!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Good thing about the OL is I think they are, justifiably, confident in their ability to draft & develop there. If they let Edwards and McGovern walk, we’ll have SVPG, Anderson, Grable and Lundt all with time on task in the system with Kromer. Van Demark is another question mark. He’s an RFA after this year. If he plays well in place of Spencer Brown, which I think he will .. he’s a starter quality player from what he’s shown, do we bring him back? -
Switched up his grip to not tear up Josh Allen’s leg.

Has anyone talked about the play clock issues on the final drive. We, for sure, had to waste a 1st down where Allen got to the line, the play clock wasn’t correct, and he emergency snaps it, whips it to the sideline hoping for anything because nobody was ready to go when he snapped it. Essentially forfeiting a play. Was that the 1st down on our final set of downs.. after the Shakir play? Or was it earlier in the drive?

Will Josh Allen want to stick around for a rebuild?
SCBills replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
There will be no “rebuild” If they have to, they’ll do what Philly does or what the Saints did with Brees… push a ton of money into future years, knowing that once Allen retires, we absolutely suck for a year where we eat dead cap. -
If Gabe Davis was in-bounds on the final drive...
SCBills replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hard to really say that “no matter how ugly it is, Bills have a chance with Allen” because we keep coming up short in big moments on potential game winning drives. I don’t really blame Allen. Every time it seems he’s let down by those around him or his OC get smoked by the opposing DC. Dawkins got beat by Chris Jones to take a TD off the board to Shakir in the KC Playoff Game. Bass misses the game tying kick. Game over. Spags give us a look we hadn’t seen before, free rusher, Allen gets it to Kincaid who can’t pull it in. Game over. Fact is, Gabe didn’t come down in-bounds. Close doesn’t matter. Dawkins false start takes it from 4th and 1 to 4th and 6. Texans able to dial up pressure now. Brady’s predictable and unimaginative mesh route fails. Game over. -
Agreed. The Championship roster comments are interesting. I liked this topic.. I think it was the morning show, but he keeps referencing points per possession to show how the Defense, while not good, is doing enough for what one would think a Josh Allen led Offense can win with. I think we’d all agree the Defense has been pretty bad these past two weeks, but giving up 32 in a high possession game isn’t awful. Giving up 23, when 6 of those points came off turning the ball over in FG range, while forcing 6 punts, isn’t awful.

I have to say.. He is, hands down, the best sports media guy in WNY. Does a great job with Joe Marino on Locked On and is the only WGR show I listen to off Audacy. Hes not over the top and ridiculous like some of these hot takes personalities you can find in bigger markets. His takes are extremely cathartic to hear and typically extremely accurate. It feels like he’s perfectly channeling the frustrations of this fanbase, for years now. And he gives credit when it’s due. Hes not built off negative takes. Just had to shout him out. Hes the one guy in WNY that this southerner makes sure I listen to.

Probably a lot to this. Sucks that it’s valid when they haven’t even made a Super Bowl, let alone won it. These teams also play first place schedules every year and play deep into the season. Buffalo and KC just look worn out half the time. KC justifiably. BUF probably justifiably too, but it’s pathetic to have to acknowledge that when they haven’t truly won anything. Titans and Giants vs Texans and Eagles could be the difference in who wins the Division. Bills, Chiefs and Ravens get everyone’s best shot in this conference. Been this way for years now. As a positive, it makes you think they can turn it on when it matters, like KC. But as a team who’s yet to win a road playoff game, what happens in the regular season likely means you’ll have to win 3 of them.
