At 1-4, they still have 2 games against the 2-1 Steelers and that’s all they have to worry about. WC might get in at 10-7, although their conference record is starting to make tie-breakers tough. Easy post-bye schedule. IF they get healthy, I’d still favor them to make the Playoffs. Only Madabuike is out for the year.

I’ll give Newsom some credit for trying with his “press office” account, but the left can’t meme is a real thing. JD Vance doesn’t care if you post memes about him. He reposts them and laughs. The reason it works for MAGA, is the Dems fall for it everytime. Case in point, the sombrero memeing. Hakeem Jeffries crying racism and saying he’s not scared .. ok.. now they’re just going to meme you more.

This feels like the first real game since Baltimore Week 1 … and while I’m sure they’ll never admit it; I bet a majority of the team feels that way too. I think we see a much more focused and on point team Sunday night. If not.. then maybe this is who we are. An explosive offense that goes through in-game lulls with a defense that just cannot get off the field. If it’s the latter, we have a lot of work to do and it might be another year where Josh Allen has to be superhuman in the postseason before he inevitably gets let’s down by his supporting cast and coaches against KC. Because I don’t know that reinforcements matter if that just who we are .. it then becomes more about scheme and philosophy because this team should be able to beat NE handedly even if we’re missing some guys. One game doesn’t make a season, but that would cement a concerning trend five games in. Let’s hope they do the first thing I mentioned and simply show NE that there’s levels to this.

Seeing some practice clips come across and these helmets are so clean

Russ Vought is my favorite random character in politics right now. Sweep the leg and kneecap all the Dem slush fund government agencies.

Libs would rather live in a Muslim country than one with “MAGA’s” in it. Let’s see how that works out for your views and values.

“This” team, with Madabuike done for the year, is very different than the one we saw Week 1

I wonder if the Bengals make a move for a stop gap QB. They can’t keep playing like they are with guys like Chase, Higgins and Hendrickson. High end players who want to win and Browning gives them absolutely no chance it seems. Powder keg waiting to explode.

They have to get one of these next two games before the bye. Steelers can get to 10-11 wins. Rest of the division is an absolute joke. 1-5 and getting to even 10-7 looks iffy. 2-4 with an easy back half and I think they can certainly rally.

Netflix comes across as programming for women at this point. Lots of crime docs and B-level soapy dramas. I think the last show I watched on there was The Hunting Wives, about a woman who cheats on her husband with another woman, gets wrapped up in a murder and her and her friend hook up with high school boys. So, there’s that. (Not gonna lie, it was kind of entertaining) Stranger Things final season comes out in 2058. Prime has some shows more tailored to dudes with Jack Ryan, Terminal List type stuff. HBO has the best original content and it’s not even close.

Trump can replace some of the entrenched bureaucracy with his own people with this shutdown, so let’s shut it down.

They have the Texans this weekend, Rams next weekend. Just a massive game for them with all the injuries and the potential to drop to 1-4. Worst part of their schedule for them to have these injuries as the schedule is much lighter on the back 1/3. Division is weak without Burrow, but Steelers look like they can get to 10-12 wins with the Browns & Bengals coming up and potentially getting to 5-1.

Im counting on Ed & Hoecht to help. Both typically available and both very good players. Ogunjobi is a flyer as a guy who was very good last time he was in our style of Defense. I can’t count on Hairston or Milano. We don’t know the actual severity/timeline of Hairstons injury and even when he is a go, who knows if he can get enough reps to help us. Milano just can’t stay on the field. If I’m Beane, I’m operating as if CB2 (White/Strong), LB (Milano), S (Rapp) and EDGE (Everyone but Bosa) could use an upgrade before the trade deadline should a move make sense at any of those positions.

Evaulation (of this team) after a quarter of season gone
SCBills replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall
1) Weak schedule so while 4-0 is great, I’m not sure I take a ton from that aside from a great comeback against a healthy Ravens team and then beating teams we absolutely should beat. 2) JA is the best QB in the league and continues to prove it. His floor game is the ceiling for 90% of QB’s in the NFL. 3) Cook proved me wrong. I didn’t want to pay a RB. I didn’t think he was in the Henry, Saquon, JT realm of running back.. He is. James Cook is elite. 4) Free Agency anyone, anyone? Beane talked a whole lot of defiance this offseason about WR and hyping Josh Palmer. Let’s hope he grows in this Offense because ehhhh ok. 5) Kincaid & Hawes could become the best TE duo in the league in coming years. 6) Deone Walker absolute HIT. Potential high RD1 pick before the back injury and he clearly looks back to being that guy now. Sky is the limit for him. 7) Team is coasting on an early easy schedule with the core. FA additions and Draft Class not giving us much. Hairston injury, Sanders is meh to ok so far which as a rookie DT isn’t awful, Jackson can’t even get a jersey. Hoecht/Ogunjobi out til Week 8 and Josh Palmer looks like the same guy with the same usage in LA but for more money. Need to get more from the additions than just Walker & Hawes. -
For many of us, all we know are the drought years. We are the opposite of entitled. We finally have THE guy and it hasn’t happened yet because of coaching blunders and continued holes in roster construction that we just can’t seem to figure out (fingers crossed that’s solved this year as time goes on). That’s not to say we aren’t grateful for the team we have, and have had in recent years - but one can be appreciative while also critical, as many of us worry the current regime isn’t capable of holding up their end of the bargain around (likely) the best chance we’ll have at winning a Super Bowl in our lifetime.

Madabuike out for the season for the Ravens.
