Deone Walker always had elite, high RD1 ability but slipped due to playing last year with a back injury. If we can keep him healthy, he might become a game wrecker like we haven’t had on the interior. He legitimately has that ability. His floor is already solid DT play with splash plays here and there.

Offense is a WR who can win consistently on the outside away from being unstoppable. I doubt we trade for that guy, so we have to hope Allen/Palmer develop and/or Keon figures out how to win using his physicality. -
Pretty much perfect schedule scenario. Sanders & Walker getting a ton of reps and showing a high floor. They should only get better. Looking like two hits on the DL for Beane. I think they’ll ride Bosa a little more than they’d like until Hoecht comes back, and then he’ll get ratcheted back a bit when we have a weapon like him to rotate in. Just get Oliver fully healthy. Hes missed, but we can win without him in this stretch. Just wish Hairston was able to get reps in this stretch. Hopefully they can get him on the field Week 5 or 6, Bye week and then a Carolina game before we play the Chiefs. This Defense takes a massive step if he’s an upgrade at CB2. Milano, imo, is a cross your fingers we get him to the playoffs healthy. Would like to rest him for a few weeks and get Dorian Williams & Shaq Thompson more reps … like what I saw from them, but they aren’t the weapon Milano is when healthy.

Yup. Dolphins were down 2/5ths of their starting OL and a bunch of guys in the secondary. They weren’t missing anyone to the level of Ed Oliver, but I’d take the Bills injury situation last night over the Dolphins.
-
I don’t really count Matt Milano as a starter at this point. A guy I hope we have when it matters.. but not counting on it. Oliver, big loss. He, along with Bosa, gives us two guys who can dominate their matchups on the DL. If we’re using the missing players excuse as to why the Defense was meh… give me the Hoecht excuse. That dude can ball. Hairston is a complete WC, but if he can give us an upgrade at CB2 by the time we get to the playoffs, that’s massive because it’s clear that while Tre White looks serviceable .. he’s getting targeted and has very mixed results.

Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?
SCBills replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
It feels like building a team like this requires a good defense. Doesnt need to be elite, since we have Josh Allen.. but it has to be good. And when it’s not, that’s when you notice Josh doesn’t have enough talent around him at WR. It’s shown up in the playoffs plenty. If our Defense can step up in the postseason, we can win a Super Bowl like this. But if not, this Offense is not built (it seems so far) to go toe to toe with Mahomes having his way with a zero resistance Bills Defense. -

WR play has been an issue in the playoffs every year as of late. What don’t we get? -
Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?

I think a disconnect between how some view the offense vs others is based off some viewing the game for who we played while other seeing trends that have been present and hurt us in big spots. Bills Offense looked bla tonight but still scored 31. A lot of people will correctly point that out. Others will see Allen constantly checking it down after looking down field and surmise that he still doesnt have guys winning downfield. Thats been an issue in our elimination games. So we worry that it will be again .. hopefully not, hopefully there is no elimination game this year. -

And I highly doubt we’ll address this at the trade deadline. We have depth and Beane has that whole Jeremy White dust up. Also we traded for one last year and it was meh. So we have to hope Keon can learn to do the one thing he can do man up, which is win with physicality. Failed to do that again today on his one outside target. I do know a Spags Defense will key on the fact we only successfully throw inside the numbers down the field to slots, tight ends and running backs or around the LOS. -

Bills Offense looks like the Chiefs Offenses of late. Boring, with a great QB play here and there. Stretches of poor play as a whole, predictable runs and a ton of throws within 5 yard of the LOS. Difference being we can run the ball and they can’t - which is why we score 31 while looking like we’re sleepwalking. But if they trade for Tyreek.. -

Do we have a guy who can get a bucket? Not sure yet. Do we have a guy who can take the top off? Not sure yet. And people in this thread can pretend it’s not a big deal, but it was an issue in the KC playoff game last year. It’s popped up in playoff games prior. It’s glossed over because of how bad the defense has been in those games, but it’s been an issue and this question hasn’t been solved to this point. -

Brady treating JA like he’s Brock Purdy all season and now he’s actually throwing short of the sticks on 3rd down. -

Bills could’ve ended the Dolphins season right then and there, but we decided to do a predictable run on 2nd and long. Got stuffed. Sack. Shanked FG. Defense turns back into a pumpkin and now it’s a game. -

Prater missing a FG and Tre White making two mistakes on that drive = tie game. Gross. -

That the left will overtly do the same things they did behind the scenes and gaslit the public on isn’t enough to make me concerned here. -

This hits if you’re under the assumption the left wouldn’t do this if they win in ‘28 Given elected Dems have pressured Fox News, the Biden Admin used the DOJ to investigate conservative groups including Turning Point, used their influence over tech to censor during Covid and leftists have long since been using advertiser boycotts to attack speech they don’t like … I’d say they would use this tactic anyway. “How would you like it if the shoe were on the other foot” only works when the shoe has never been on the other foot. I understand many conservatives apprehension over the FCC chair inserting himself and Trump taking victory laps. I do. Optically, it seems like an unnecessary self own while the right is completely dominating the left on culture/***** opinion. But your argument doesn’t hold water for me. Because it’s been done to varying degrees for the past decade while the right has just taken it. And you point out how the narrative will be spun, well yes… that’s because the left owns much of the influential establishment media… but the only people who pay attention to that are boomers who are already comically on the left or watching Fox News all day. The rest of us get our news from social media and podcasts. Where again, we’re silo’ed. So it’s a battle for the normies. And on this topic, Charlie Kirk being assassinated with leftist celebration vs the right’s response to it. -
