  1. We all know this.. And until this team figures out how to get past Mahomes/Burrow in the Playoffs, questioning decisions is only going to get more and more valid. Get past them and go ahead.. sign all the Siran Neal, Tyler Matakevich's you want. Pay a punter. Pay Bass. Whatever. Until then, people will question some of these roster decisions... and justifiably so. I just hope there are corresponding moves made because we are paying way too much, currently, for bit players like Hines, McKenzie, Neal, Martin, Gillam etc. Not a ton individually, but it begins to add up.
  2. Cut Neal, McKenzie and let Taiwan Jones walk.. ok, fine, pay Martin and keep Matakevich and Hines. We'll see how this plays out, and maybe Matakevich is on a cheap deal, but this team needs more dudes at the expense of filling holes with experienced vets.
  3. Welp... today is off to a fantastic start...
  4. I think it could be boring for us in terms of acquiring players, but maybe not so much in regards to losing guys. From all reports, if we don’t get a deal done with Edmunds before noon, his agent is going to be a busy man.
  5. I’ll be watching the Rodgers/Jets saga …. Seems if it’s going to happen, it’s got to be announced today, no? I think he’s going there, but I’m less confident today than I was before the weekend.
  6. True… but for an aging Safety… no thank you to that.
  7. Because you can’t hide a 2 year contract. Edmunds, we could backload the deal, which doesn’t make much sense now with Milano extended. Poyer, we’re paying say 2/20? 10M AAV over 2 years, maybe less, either way that’s a lot of cap in an off-season where we need to give Allen some help. And Poyer was not playing at a high level. He was a liability towards the end of the season. Injuries played a part for sure, but also those injuries really racked up last year…
  8. Jets board speculates it’s because they didn’t want to announce it on Selection Sunday … obviously.
  9. So, to recap: -Josh and Von restructured. -Settle takes a slight pay cut. -Milano extended. That’s it so far, correct?
  10. Im not arguing with that. Their roster is loaded. It’s the Rams approach, in a way tougher conference with an injury prone QB.
  11. They may be better, but they’re still behind KC, Buffalo & Cincinnati. Likely behind the Jets if Rodgers goes there. In the tier 2 of the AFC with LAC, JAX and BAL (with Lamar).
  12. Josh Allen on how to stop Rodgers if he comes to the East.
  13. We need new blood. Poyer is a great guy, good player, but is aging.. it’s time.
  14. I agree with the poster you quoted. Dolphins are going Rams redux.. except they have brittle Tua, not Stafford and are in a conference about 10x tougher than what the Rams navigated.
  15. With Davis, same as Oliver, they just dont seem like guys we can afford to pay moving forward. Best case scenario, they crush it and at least one of them walks after the season. Seems to me that we’ve ran it back enough. The current iteration of this team ran its course and inexplicably got blown out by the Bengals. It’s time for a shake up off-season, and we could really use Oliver’s cap space and some picks from him and Davis to reset the roster and hopefully add some guys that help us breakthrough. Neither is critical to our Super Bowl chances. Neither is likely to be elite. We can’t keep paying “good” players. Move on a year early rather than lose them for nothing.
  16. Who knows what moves were available to them … at the very least, they didn’t need to go all-in on Chubb. I get the Armstead signing and Hill trade to find out what they have in Tua, but the Chubb trade and subsequent contract was an all-in move which negated their ability to potentially draft a QB this year with some maneuvering and likely led to them making the Ramsey move given how leveraged they find themselves. Maybe it works for them. … doubt it though.
  17. They’re so leveraged now that I guess the Ramsey move makes sense, but in retrospect, I’d think they may have wished they addressed QB last off-season before going all-in on Tua for a 2-3 year window.
  18. I get what they’re doing, but Tua isn’t Stafford of two years ago and the AFC isn’t the NFC.
  19. I’m not exactly sure I understand what the Dolphins are doing. Trade for Hill, huge contract. Trade for Chubb, huge contract Trade for Ramsey, huge contract Restructures all around. It’s the Rams model, swap Stafford for Tua and the NFC for the AFC.
  20. Even more so.. let them play through mistakes. McDuffie was getting torched (and making plays) in the playoffs.. it happens. Can’t have paid vets everywhere.
  21. Well said. The Pegula’s deserve recognition for the fact they will spend whatever it takes on the team.
  22. Also, just a hunch, but based off Oliver’s deleted tweet, I think the Bills tried to lock him up on the cheap. If so, will be interesting to see how that plays out with his 10M cap hit. Legit extension
  23. This. Milano shows up in big games. True All-Pro.. these are the guys you pay.
