  1. I kind of like Jalen Tolbert & Christian Watson.
  2. Josh Jacobs not getting his 5th year option is another nail in the coffin of RD1 RB’s.
  3. I think there may be a corner that falls that would be tempting, but what are we doing with them? Tre White, Kaiir Elam and Taron Johnson is a really strong trio. Dane Jackson and Siran Neal are pretty solid backups. I could see us adding a vet, but investing 4 years in a pick with those guys on the roster for the foreseeable future doesn’t make a ton of sense.
  4. I doubt they do this, but I would have zero issue with the Bills only taking 4 players in this draft and using 5,6, 6, 7 to move up. We took 8 players last year and 2 of them got snatched off the PS squad. Essentially wasted picks. This years roster looks even more difficult to make the 53.
  5. True. Denzel Mims RD2 (59) Gabriel Davis RD4 (128) Same draft.
  6. Still go back to rumors of the Bills moving a vet for a pick/trade-up. Resigning myself to the fact that player traded will not be “he who shall not be named”, but I do wonder what Epenesa’s value could be league wide. Former RD2 pick, still two years left on his rookie deal. In RD3, Epenesa likely has more potential than the EDGE prospects left on the board. Id feel 100% comfortable with Von, Rousseau, Basham and Lawson at DE. As it stands, Epenesa looks to be competing with Basham and Shaq as to who will be odd man out on Gamedays.
  7. Perhaps, but we’ve also never had a RB like Hall with Allen. Given a choice, yes I’d rather have one of the top RD2 WR’s over Hall.. agreed. That said, Hall as a pseudo-slot for Allen’s check downs against the 2 deep Safety look could be a game changer.
  8. Don’t worry Allen will do it all… Turn Kumerow or Stevenson into a stud if Diggs or Davis miss time/need a breather and provide the running threat for the offense with Singletary and the JAG’s. We definitely need more help for the Defense. A billion dollars and RD1/RD2 picks everywhere still needs more investment.
  9. I view Hall a bit differently than you, given his speed & pass catching ability, but any other RB in RD2 would require me talking myself into it. Beane has given Allen talent on Offense but it seems like it’s starting to become the bare minimum to say he’s done so… We upgraded one spot on the OL via a 1 year deal vet. We upgraded slot with a 1 year vet. Upgraded TE2 with a 1 year deal player. Meanwhile a decent outside depth WR is no longer on the roster in Sanders and we played some musical chairs with 1 year deal OL depth players. We have upgraded the Offense, I truly believe that, but it’s the bare minimum we could’ve done so far and we only have two reliable outside WR’s currently on the roster.
  10. I refuse to accept this argument. Our defense has an absurd amount of talent on it. Poyer & Hyde at Safety. White, Elam and Johnson at Cornerback. We still have Milano at LB. Miller, Rousseau, Oliver etc on the DL Come on..
  11. Yea, hope we’d consider him, but if not, Beane was true to his “need speed in the secondary comments”… let’s hope he’s true to that on Offense and finds a way to infuse speed at WR and/or RB. Metchie and Hall are the two players that jump off the list for me.
  12. Going off that list, Breece Hall and/or John Metchie please. Speed speed speed.. Would understand IOL if they believe the guy can push Bates and then take over for Saffold. Love the Elam pick, but more defense tonight would be frustrating. Although, Booth (depending on medicals) would certainly be tough to pass up.
  13. Also.. G, MLB and S aren’t exactly premium positions. To everyone so worried about Saffold, Edmunds and Poyer all being off the team after this year, ok… We can draft a MLB, G and S with our Top 100 picks next year. Why do we need to give these positions all a redshirt year? Draft guys tonight who will contribute.
  14. Agreed. And I’d be fine in doing so. Pickens is a true outside WR with #1 potential. And we obviously know what Hall would bring to the offense at RB. We got our CB and if we can come away with a top tier playmaker for the Offense tonight, I don’t really care what else we do.
  15. Pickens or Hall would probably be my hope for RD2 tonight.
  16. Diggs/Davis playing every 3-wide snap, every game? We have two legit outside WR’s on a pass happy team. You’re cool going to war with Kumerow or Stevenson as a starter if Diggs or Davis miss any time?
  17. Let’s look at the weapons: Diggs via a RD1 Pick, valid point. OJ Howard and Jamison Crowder are nice players brought in on one year deals via FA. McKenzie is a decent gadget player. Recent picks for Allen: RD3 RB RD3 RB RD3 TE RD4 WR I think it’s ok to acknowledge that we’re getting closer to a “JA will just elevate everyone” argument if we don’t get him a legitimate weapon tonight. Especially since we have Kumerow on the outside if Diggs or Davis miss any time. Also, Diggs and Davis can’t play every snap.. From a team building standpoint, I’ll be pretty worried if they don’t draft a guy to be a legit option on the outside tonight.
  18. I don’t hate trading a 4th.. I just wish we still had it to use in a trade up tonight. Gabriel Davis was a 2nd/3rd round talent that fell to the 4th in an insanely deep WR draft. This draft is deep at WR, but in two years things have changed and that likely never happens again.
  19. For most of last year the OL was not good.. Dawkins was fighting covid and covid effects for most of the year. Not a coincidence the OL came together in conjunction with our talented LT finally looking like himself. Regardless of whether anyone thinks Saffold is still a pro-bowl caliber Guard, he’s likely an upgrade over Williams. Morse was a reliable player all year, and he’s back with us. OL came together, also, when we finally put Bates in the starting five. He’s back, and as of now, it looks like the other Guard spot is his to lose. Spencer Brown was a raw rookie RT. No reason to think he won’t improve. Not sure I see an IOL who pushes any of those five out of a spot tonight.. maybe someone like Parham… maybe. If we don’t address OL tonight, it’s hard to see any Day 3 lineman that would definitely beat out Doyle, Quessenberry, Ford, Boettger or Mancz. Certainly not a Tackle, where Doyle was a developmental Day 3 pick last year and Quessenberry is a decent vet. Maybe IOL could compete for a spot against Ford/Mancz and Ike probably starts the year on the PUP. Also, Kromer should help a lot. I just don’t really see OL as a sensible pick … next year, absolutely.
  20. Edmunds isn’t the difference between us winning a Super Bowl or not. If we roll with him, I want him re-signed. Absolutely hate the idea of playing a rental year with a former RD1 pick who likely has substantial trade value, ie a pick tonight.
  21. More defense.. I’d hate it. Im not sure how anyone is ok with our WR room being Diggs, Davis, Crowder, McKenzie and then meh.. For a team that throws a lot, we’re one injury away from having to play game(s) with Kumerow or Stevenson/Hodgins starting on the outside.
  22. Based on Beane’s comments regarding what we needed to add to the secondary, I’d be surprised if McDuffie was on our list. That said, I do think Beane got the memo that teams may want to get ahead of the Bills for a CB after the Chiefs traded up. Hence our trade up for Elam.
  23. I mean, look at our Offense, and then compare Allen to what Mahomes has had, or Herbert or Burrow… I’m not saying we’ve neglected Offense, but we also don’t appreciate how much we’ve relied on Allen to elevate everyone. Would be nice to give him another young weapon at WR and/or RB. He’s been doing this with an average OL, no running game and RD3/RD4 draft picks plus Diggs.
  24. I’d 100% be down for this. I don’t care if we burn through our 5th, both 6ths and our 7th tomorrow night. Get 3 difference makers and I could care less if the rest of the draft comes down to some UDFA’s. Going to be incredibly difficult for any position to make the team as a late round pick outside of Punter and maybeee a RB, TE or CB.
  25. McDuffie and Gordon were two guys I was prepared to have to talk myself into. Not so with Elam. Fits the profile of everything Beane said we needed in the secondary. McDuffie and Gordon, not so much.
