Bills reportedly interested in Jamaal Williams
SCBills replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills mulling what to do with Devin Singletary ….nope, don’t like that. -
Same. Other than OBJ, that seems like it may drag on, D Hop is the only WR .. imo.. that would elicit a player feeling the need to tweet out a LAMP.
-
I love how you find something wrong with every WR, yet get annoyed at the offense-first fan contingent for not wanting to spend more defensive $$$ on old LB’s or a broken down Safety that doesn’t even want to be here anymore. Yes, I’d much rather spend the money we have left of Hopkins or OBJ (not at 20M) .. or trade for Jerry Jeudy, who oozes potential and has never played with a guy like Josh Allen. God forbid we take a swing for our franchise QB…

So we go from rangy light coverage MLB to “downhill thumper”? … ok, random .. good thing we drafted Bernard last year, who is the opposite of that.

Jordan Poyer Discussion - Does he stay?
SCBills replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why not? We get Von back at some point. Tre White now has a year under his belt post-injury. Hyde is back. Why should we be the ones that overpay for Poyer? -
AFCE meet AFCW Bills / Chiefs Jets / Chargers Dolphins / Broncos Patriots / Raiders Man up and be a better team for it. KC dominated that division once again last year, will probably do it again this year. If Beane makes smart decisions this off-season, no reason we shouldn't win the East again as well.
-
Yea... Poyer was a good soldier last year and got beat up/played through injury, but it took it's toll just as he starts showing his age. On the flipside, Buffalo helped make him who he is, and paid him more than he likely ever makes if he doesn't land in McDermott's Defense next to Micah Hyde. It was a win/win for both sides, but it's time to move on, and I'm sure he's frustrated that last year's tape is surely being used against him in negotiations.

I don't think I'm touching Dawkins or Diggs, but if I'm Beane I am absolutely doing the following: -Extend Daquan Jones. Good player. We have no DT's under contract for next year. -Trade Ed Oliver. Good player. Not worth 10M to us next year and we're not paying him if he blows up. -Cut McKenzie. We comitted to Hines. His role should be KR/PR/RB3/Gadget.. he takes over the McKenzie role in the offense.

Nyhiem Hines Restructures - Takes a pay cut to stay in Buffalo.

Well said. These obviously aren't the only moves we make, and even if they were.. Cook in Year 2 is a better RB than rookie Cook or Singletary. Hines with an off-season should theoretically become more integrated into the Offense. Re: McGovern, even if all he gives us good pass blocking and poor run blocking, that's a massive improvement over last year. Given he's reportedly a better RG than LG, we are able to give him that spot on our OL, which also moves Bates to LG... the position he feels more comfortable in. This one move has upgraded both LG and RG, while giving us two athletic 25 year olds on multi-year contracts. If we go RT at 27 and/or Brown makes a jump with a full, healthy off-season, this OL could become a strength. -
No need to reach.. There will be LB's available in Rounds 2-4 of this Draft that can compete with Bernard. If MLB in this Defense is soooo important, then we need a new Defense. Absolute absurdity. Hyde, White, Elam, Johnson, Milano, Von, Rousseau, Jones. That's 8/11 spots on the Defense occupied by above average players or guys with above average potential. Help. Josh. Allen.

I think there's some validity to the way teams rush Allen. We have one of the most athletic OL's in the NFL.. there's no reason every screen should end up as Allen spiking it into the dirt. -
I'm definitely in Barkley as the PS vet presence and then draft a QB in the mid-late rounds to back up Allen. Someone like Duggan or Bennett would be fine by me. As long as we give Allen the OL and weapons we should, a rookie should be able to game manage us to a fighting chance if Allen had to miss a few games.
