Combating imaginary racism with actual racism??
SCBills replied to Unforgiven's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
….she says after she cheated on her husband with, and then married, a white man. -
The Bills must give the ok to players to go on their podcasts though .. so it seems the organization, at the very least, tolerates them.

I can understand some fans high hopes. Gabe Davis was a 4th rounder in a stacked WR draft. Shakir a 5th, with quite a few talking heads calling him a steal. That being said.. Gabe is a physical specimen that does something at a really high level (stretch the defense). Shakir is an undersized guy that excels with the ball in his hands in space .. Something that hasn’t really been a focus of our offense for anyone, let alone a rookie, now second year player guaranteed to be behind, at least, Diggs, Davis, Kincaid, Knox and Cook in the pecking order of weapons.

Is it correct to view, through three days of practice, the battle for WR3 & WR4… Sherfield ⬆️ Harty ⬆️ Shakir ⬇️ ??

Id hope the Bills offer him a settlement… I’ve heard them offering him what he would’ve made on the PS as an option? Id hope we’re not trying to void every last dollar this year and claw back money he’s already received. But there is no reason we should have to eat his full cap hit due to this.

Bills working out FA receiver Andy Isabella tomorrow UPDATE: SIGNED
SCBills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is and isn’t on Beane. A lot of fans didn’t want it pick up the option on Oliver. We brought back Poyer (on the cheap) but against the cap, not so much. We found some money for Leonard Floyd. Matakevich, Neal and Hines (pre-injury) are mainly ST’s guys and when added up aren’t cheap. I’m not saying those were wrong decisions, but Hopkins would be on this team if we didn’t invest so heavily in cap dollars on defense. -
Agreed on Benford. He may just be a very good player that was overlooked at a small school. Ehh… That 5th year option is still expensive when your QB is making 45M+ Year 2 for McDuffie in KC. He’s starting. They’re hoping to get above average production from him with 3 years before they have to pay him or let him walk. Year 2 for Elam in Buffalo. Camp battle with a guy who is “solid” and here on a one year deal. It’s early. Let’s see how it plays out. But rookies need to produce early for us moving forward .. not in year 4 right before we have to make a cap decision on them.
-
Yup … but no one gives af that we entered the post-season mentally drained and with: -Allen, torn UCL -Phillips injured -Poyer injured -Davis injured -Von OUT -Jones OUT -Hyde OUT -Hamlin OUT All anyone remembers is that we didn’t even bother showing up in the Divisional Round and KC was able to beat a Bengals squad with a decimated OL to get to, yet another, Super Bowl.

We're going to go from a lack of creativity last year, to 12 personnel, nonstop motion and WR/TE's taking handoffs.
-
Absolutely .. but this guy feels different. I'm NOT saying he's Kelce.. but he's one of the few guys I've ever watched who moves like him. Also, the dynamic of 12 personnel that can also stretch the field is something pretty rare in the NFL.
-
Kincaid hype train has left the station. What a massive development it would be if we hit gold on this guy..
-
I don't think that's a bad approach.. in fact, I rather like that Beane does this. That said, I think he does need to review his process a bit due to the fact we are entering the window where rookies will need to start being year 1/year 2 contributors. If Kaiir Elam can get sorted out.. it starts to look really promising with Elam/Cook and Kincaid/Torrence in consecutive years.

McDermott's first game as DC.. Going to be a lot of people's pride on the line in a big Week 1 division game. I truly hope we have a more aggressive, attacking defense. If i'm McD in that game, I want Rodgers to know, immediately, that he is no longer in Green Bay... Light him up and expose the Jets OL. Make him feel it the next day. Come out of that game with Bills W and having Rodgers questioning his decision to go there.
-
Yup. For as long as Josh Allen is here, we have a Super Bowl window, but with his cap hits starting to become reflective of the QB he is... there isn't going to be the ability to bring in another Von Miller because we can't hit on DL picks. We have got to start getting production from young players, early in their rookie contracts. Can't have a guy like AJE finally click when we have to pay him, or Ed Oliver finally become what we want him to be when he's making big money... these guys have to start producing in Year 1...Year 2... Is Boogie Basham even going to make the team? Now Year 2 for Kaiir Elam, at a money position. I can live with Benford if he wins it.. he might just be very good while overlooked at a small school.. but we know what Dane Jackson is, and Dane Jackson should not be beating out a Year 2 RD1 Corner. This can't keep happening if we want to stay a top contender.

Yea, the FO's view on interior linemen (up until this year) has looked quite foolish.
-
The endorphin rush, followed by the immediate crash when reading Torrence is running with the 1's ... but so is Dane Jackson.

Bills OL has potential, but we're all going to be holding our breath hoping Spencer Brown makes the jump. I think Dawkins, McGovern and Morse have all proven to be above average pass blockers in their careers. All are still capable of playing at a high level, with McGovern just entering his prime years as a Guard. Bates is solid at RG, but his true value is in position flex, and if Torrence can win that spot, then we may really have something here. At the end of the day, Spencer Brown is as boom or bust as it gets at RT. If he booms... we may just have a very good OL. If he busts... better hope the last minute addition of Shell saves us at that position so we don't need RB/TE help over there all the time.

What’s to stop a team, especially in NYC, from saying “take this pay cut and we’ll make it up to you with X, Y, Z endorsements”? Obviously it would have to be implied, because the NFL would likely destroy a team if they found out that to be explicit, but this is pretty random, and strange, of Rodgers to just give up $35M. If genuine, good for him… his cap hit after this year is still a problem for the Jets, but it’s not a poison pill franchise cap reset post-Rodgers like it was setting up to be.
