  1. Eh.. Throw in Knox/Howard and it looks better, but I don't know that this is a Top 10 WR room.. it's ok. Factor in the RB mediocrity that we've saddled Allen with, and we're putting a lot on his shoulders if we don't address WR early. He obviously elevates everyone, but we're starting to fall behind in the offensive weaponry arms race if we neglect WR in the first two rounds.
  2. Seeing all these WR contracts, yea... I'm off the RD1 RB train. Take QB, OT, EDGE, WR or CB early. We have our QB, OT and EDGE... stock up the CB/WR rooms.
  3. We all get why KC did this. The issue is, they had a once in a generation pairing in Hill/Kelce. The most explosive WR in the NFL and the most athletic, talented TE in the NFL, both in their prime. That won't be duplicated anytime soon, by anyone.
  4. Remember when people were upset we didn't bring back Levi Wallace?..... Beane looking up and down at the 40 times of secondary dudes in the draft.
  5. Given it seems Jets/Dolphins were the only options, this seems to have worked out in the best case scenario for us. Chiefs lose the most explosive player in the NFL. Get back some picks, but the highest pick is 29. Dolphins give up draft capital, tie up 4 yr/120M of cap space and have the most explosive player in the league dependent upon noodle-arm Tua getting him the ball down the field.
  6. Jets fans are surprisingly rationale in their discussions on this. Split fanbase it seems, with many cringing at the compensation and money for an aging WR who's game is based on speed. Worried he becomes the next AB in NYC.
  7. Replace Knox/Diggs with Kelce/Hill.... Allen would put up historic numbers.
  8. Hill/Kelce has always been the difference. Mahomes is really good, but we'll find out just how good when the most unguardable duo in the NFL becomes Kelce and some nice WR's (as i'm sure they'll draft a top guy or two). My guess is we'll find out it was more Hill/Kelce and less Mahomes. Bills WR/TE room is nice, but it's not - and has never been, KC's (with Hill), LAC or Cinci.
  9. Don't care. They can draft 4 WR's if they want. None of them will be Hill. Defending Hill with Kelce at TE is impossible unless Mahomes is under pressure or being dumb. Never seen a WR like him in my life.
  10. Don't love him in our division, but I don't care who KC drafts with the picks they get back... There is only one Tyreek Hill and only one Travis Kelce. Hill/Kelce has been the engine of that offense. Jets or Dolphins immediately get much better, but I'm ok with them eating a potential 28M/year contract and giving up multiple high picks.
  11. That Diggs is also in line for an extension. What do we do if he pushes it like Hill? IMO, he’s a notch below Adams & Hill. Tier 1 elite vs Tier 2 elite with Diggs & Hopkins. I might even put Ja’Marr Chase in Tier 1 also.
  12. Obviously this makes us think about Diggs, and as good as Diggs is, he and Hopkins are a notch below Adams and Hill. Adams is the best WR and Hill is the most explosive WR.
  13. As annoying as it would be to deal with him 2x per year, get him off KC at all costs. As good as Mahomes is, that offense is next to impossible to stop due to Hill/Kelce.
  14. Schefter reporting Jets/Fins heavily involved. fwiw, some insider on the fins message board two days ago was vaguely foreshadowing a potential “out of nowhere” mega trade for Miami.
  15. Contract, on its face, is big $$$ Really good player. Never plays a full season. Risky signing, but it makes a ton of sense for the Dolphins.
  16. NGL, reading through Twitter.. did not expect Ryan Bates to be this hot of a commodity.
  17. I hate when media folks do this. Not just for Von, but they always emphasize the max value of massive contracts - and they, of all people - know what the real contract is.
  18. Yup...very noteworthy that I'd assume most of us look at the list of outgoing players (Trubisky as a back-up aside) and would agree with you. I know that I do.
  19. I don't disagree, but some of it is also a function of the positions we drafted. EDGE rushers typically take some time to develop, unless you're drafting a guy in the Top 10.
  20. I wonder if the Browns thought there would be a market for Baker when doing the Watson trade?... I'm sure they had an idea, but I want to think they thought they could get back a small piece of the draft capital they gave up (3rd Rounder perhaps) and are now looking at having to eat his cap hit by cutting him or sending another pick out to get rid of his contract.
  21. Curious how this offseason's roster turnover compares to other teams (in terms of sheer numbers) Seems like we've done a massive overhaul around the core guys. OUT: Harrison Phillips Star Lotululei Vernon Butler Jerry Hughes Mario Addison AJ Klein Levi Wallace Cole Beasley Emmanuel Sanders Jon Feliciano Darryl Williams Matt Breida Mitch Trubisky Davis Webb IN: Daquan Jones Tim Settle Jordan Phillips Von Miller Shaq Lawson Marquel Lee Roger Saffold Greg Mancz Duke Johnson OJ Howard Jamison Crowder Case Keenum Matt Barkley
  22. After Wildgoose and Anderson were poached, I hope they use those later picks (185, 203, 231) to move around the board in the middle rounds. We need inexpensive talent and can't be wasting picks on guys who will get cut or poached. As it stands, give me CB, WR, IOL in the first 3 rounds. Then with the remaining draft: OT, CB, RB, TE, LB, P are all options.
