  1. Bills want to be contenders year in/year out with Allen. Im good with that. Don’t think we need to mortgage the future to go all in. They just need to tweak their philosophy a bit.
  2. Who, aside from Allen? Diggs and White. Even then, Diggs is an elite WR but not a game changer.. White is a lockdown corner but doesn’t make a ton of plays like some other corners. Where else are we elite? This FO prioritizes having no holes over getting that extra 1 or 2 elite level guys… Would you rather have Hughes + Addison, or one guy like Hendrickson. I really like Beane’s approach, but will be very disappointed if he continues this stance.
  3. Its not complicated to me. Our entire defensive effort was basically pass rushers flying off the edge with no rhyme or reason and either getting looped out of the play or diving at Mahomes feet, linebackers who were - as usual - doing something that isn’t quantifiable to the average fan apparently, and cornerbacks playing off ball all game to hide their lack of speed/talent.
  4. I never said “immediate impact” Im in favor of the pick because - due to him not being able to play immediately - we may be able to get him.
  5. It is what it is. Allen wins the coin toss and it’s very likely that every media show/pundit is declaring him the top QB in the NFL. Media plays narratives and the narrative is that Mahomes has won a SB and now Burrow is in one.
  6. Yup. That’s the only reason he’d be there. If he is, we should jump on it. We likely won’t be in position to get a WR talent like that via Draft for the next decade. Im ok waiting for him to come back mid-season or so…. Just get him ready for the playoffs.
  7. Accurate. Burrow hasn’t looked elite in these playoffs, but when I say I’d take Allen or Burrow over Mahomes, that doesn’t mean I think Burrow is on Allen’s level… I think Allen is THE most talented QB in the league.. it means I think the shine is coming off Mahomes a bit. For instance, Allen had to will us, and elevate us, to what should have been (two) game winning drives. Mahomes erased it with a dump off to Tyreek Hill. He’s obviously more than that, but give Allen, Burrow or Herbert those two generational talents - Kelce/Hill - and I think they’re more dominant with them than Mahomes has been.
  8. Jimmy G in our offense would like if every team he dumped it off to Deebo, he runs straight into a defender or falls forward for a yard.
  9. Niners/Bengals, just like everyone thought.
  10. This. Mahomes is one of the elite, but Allen and Burrow have passed him in the young QB hierarchy of talent/ability. Mahomes has had the luxury of two of the best playmakers of this generation on the same team. Allen had him beat in a game where Mahomes was “on”. The defense and coaching, along with a bad luck coin toss were needed to rob him of the victory. Burrow caught Mahomes on a bad day, and his defense was able to capitalize. Id take either of them over Mahomes if I’m starting a team that doesn’t automatically come with Hill & Kelce. Maybe even Herbert.
  11. Normally I think we overrate a lot of our own guys. With Knox, I finally think we’re underrating one.
  12. My kingdom for a Deebo Samuel… oh my goodness
  13. He’s not just top 10 in TD’s, he’s tied for the league lead. Given the amount of mouths to feed on our offense, that seems - to me - to lessen his targets in the field of play, so the fact he’s a big end zone target for us is a big deal. Someone like Dallas Goedert is much more of a focal point. And if we’re worried about drops, he had a brutal one in their playoff game.
  14. Chiefs, in retrospect, played the seed gaming perfectly by dropping down to 4.
  15. The 49ers fans are LOUD. Embarrassing for the Rams.
  16. I don’t know how y’all are watching this. Im following along, but hearing how bad they made Mahomes look, makes me hate this defense even more… and I didn’t think that was possible.
  17. I disagree that they’d call us insane. The debate was made a ton this past week, with the edge given to Mahomes over Allen because of his SB trophy.
  18. Do you watch other TE’s? Even Kittle, Kelce etc have drops. Knox drastically improved that this year. TE’s just aren’t as sure-handed all the time as WR’s. Diontae Johnson has games where he’s legitimately a liability. Knox is nowhere close to that. Yes, keep Knox. He’s a Top 10 TE, and is still improving.
  19. Not watching the AFC Game. However I hope the Chiefs smoke the Bengals and then lose in the Super Bowl to whoever wins Rams/Niners.
  20. They were not one of the best WR cores. Not to say the Bills WR’s weren’t a top 10ish group last year, but there were plenty of teams with more talent there. I’m trying to block out these games, but look who’s playing today. Rams have Kupp, Beckham, Jefferson and Higbee. Also thought they’d have Woods. Bengals have Chase, Boyd, Higgins and Uzomah. Chiefs have Hill, Hardman, Pringle, Kelce. 49ers have Deebo, Kittle, Aiyuk and Jennings. Only group I might take ours over is the 49ers, and they’re built to run the ball. All those teams also have better RB situations than us… Mixon, CEH/McKinnon, Mitchell etc, Akers/Michel. Bills had the most depth at WR.. I’ll give them that.
  21. In general I agree with you. If you’re drafting where we typically will be, probably not a ton of difference between taking a WR in the late 1st or 2nd.. maybe even 3rd/4th some years. All depends on the player, QB and fit. College just churns out so many good WRs now. That said, Jameson Williams is likely a top 10 pick if he didn’t tear his ACL. If he’s there, I think that’s how a team like us, gets a guy like him. We should really get Josh someone with elite traits at the skill positions other than him. Whether that’s speed and/or size. Knox has high level traits as a TE, but that’s the closest we have to elite traits anywhere at WR/TE/RB. Diggs is an elite route runner… I guess we could expand to include this. In theory though, I get it. Jets took Denzel Mims in the 2nd and dude’s production doesn’t hold a candle to 4th RD Gabriel Davis.
  22. Give Allen a good OL and he will torch anyone, but we also need playmakers to lessen his load. I think too many people are clouded by recency bias. “Josh Unleashed” in the Playoffs. That. Is. Not. Sustainable. Over. A. Full. Season. We need guys that will win us games necessary for the 1 seed, without demanding Allen do it all. If teams are going to Cover 2 shell us again, we need players to wreck that. That means a running game and guys who provide us YAC. We have enough good players on defense to supplement it (CB2) and another pass rusher, but give me an elite offense and solid defense every time. I could care less if we paper tiger our way to a #1 defense again next year. People got way too obsessed with a beat up KC OL and gimpy Mahomes getting beat down my Tampa’s DL last year.
  23. If we move off Beasley, it’s absolutely not a luxury pick. Even if we keep him, it’s really not. Thats the mentality that Green Bay took with Rodgers. KC turns over every stone to get Mahomes YAC gods and speed at every skill position, but drafting a 1st Round WR for our guy is a bridge too far?
  24. Their reasoning is pretty sound, IMO. Also, very awesome of them! They know that without JA, it’s not likely they are hiring Schoen/Daboll. That’s not to denigrate those two, but to simply acknowledge how things work in the NFL. Due to that, they are donating to Josh Allen’s charity.
  25. Jameson Williams might have been my favorite WR in this draft before he went down with the ACL. A few things: 1) He does a lot of his work out of the slot. So if we move off Beasley/McKenzie, he slides right into the trio of Diggs/Davis/Williams. That might be the most explosive group in the NFL once he’s fully ramped up. 2) Might make sense to keep one of them with this pick, given he may not be ready to be counted on until mid-season. 3) He’s a special teams ace. One of the best Bama had on that unit.
