  1. True. For all the talk of process and culture, would McDermott still be our coach if not for Josh Allen? No chance.
  2. I've reached the end of my patience with McDermott, but I don't think there's any chance he's not here next year.. and I just have to hope he's capable of self-reflection and growth as a coach. I'd be shocked if he's allowed to run it back with Dorsey and Frazier. One, or both, have to go. IMO, definitely Frazier.. and I go either way on Dorsey just because it was his first year. Then next year he's coaching on a warm seat.
  3. Having Von Miller wouldn't have mattered one bit yesterday. Absolutely insane to see Burrow get rid of the ball so quick and every. time. have someone wide open. I just laughed maniacally when we blitzed Burrow deep on our own side on 3rd and 5, blitzer came flying through, and all Burrow had to do was simply toss it five yards to Chase with White playing 10 yards off coverage. Amazing.
  4. Playoffs are what matters and our Defense has failed miserably against KC(2) & CIN these past 3 years.
  5. Not just us... WGR personalities are echoing the same sentiments. Openly saying that all options should be on the table this off-season.
  6. Bills need to copy the Chiefs moving forward. Invest heavy on Offense. Hope Von can be our Chris Jones for the next two years when comes back and fill in with some good players/cheap contracts. Chiefs Defense without Chris Jones is rough. They have some guys like Karlaftis (Rousseau), Bolton (Milano), McDuffie (Elam) etc.., but they rely on Spags to elevate them beyond what they are. We have a defensive head coach.. if McD can't do that, he has no reason to be here.
  7. Humble and Hungry Bring in character guys Draft team leaders from college programs A heavy defensive focus when it comes to investment
  8. Frazier is married to his scheme. Even when the blueprint (Tua, Burrow) dictates otherwise. Hes engrained in this defense with guys who have been here a long time. It’s why massive changes need to occur on defense. And the defense will likely be much less talented next year .. but I wouldn’t be surprised if they perform better in big moments (should we move off Frazier and make personnel changes) I think a lot of us are all saying a similar thing, when we know the problem is McDermott’s philosophy/culture may have reached its ceiling. We can point to changes around the edges, but the problem is him and his philosophy. He’s a good coach. Someone else would hire him in a second… but if they get to where we are, they’ll have the same problems.
  9. Josh is way down on the list of problems yesterday, but he wasn’t good. Missed Diggs early on a big play and then threw a bunch of no-chance balls deep to him. More fire. I’d applaud Diggs if he took a flamethrower to the team … someone needs to do it. Maybe if players speak up, our owner will be moved to make some tough decisions. He has that famous AFC CG picture in KC, and two years in a row, we’ve gone backwards. How do you think he should feel?
  10. How does a backup OL dominate a healthy DL? Thats more than just Jimmy’s and Joe’s. Why is Frazier playing off coverage and zone when the blueprint to slow down Burrow is press man and disrupt his quick rhythm throwing? Theyre more talented than us. They aren’t 27-10 in a game that had zero life to it better.
  11. -Said on Howard and Jeremy this morning Could not describe the McDermott problem any better. Not just that this is his mantra.. and it’s been corny since the jump, but that it drips down to the entire team, mentality and roster construction. Much of the game is mental. You have to believe you can win. I did not see a team that believed it could win yesterday. Then you look at who we draft, sign, build with. Character guys. Team leaders. That’s great. Where were they against KC three years ago? Where were they yesterday? They got pushed in by guys who are meaner, tougher and more arrogant. Would we ever bring in a Joe Mixon? Kadarius Toney? Tyreek Hill? Humble and Hungry … Still hungry because the teams with more dawg are going to continue taking your food from you until that mentality is gone. …and it stems from one man and one vision.. It built a team good enough to contend, not good enough to win, and that statement above says. it. all.
  12. Makes me think of Kadarius Toney. “He won’t fit the culture.” “Can’t have a guy like that here” You know who does want him? The Chiefs. Another in a long line of non-culture fits playing for teams we can’t beat when it matters.
  13. I thought taking a beat, sleeping on it.. maybe I’d be a bit more chill. I’m even more frustrated this morning. Sweeping changes need to be made. Three years. Three brutal losses in the Playoffs and no Super Bowl appearances. The current iteration of the Bills team needs to be over. That goes beyond just letting guys walk. It means trading some guys and letting go of coaches.. I don’t want McDermott here anymore, but understand he likely will.. so make him step up and bring in new coordinators.
  14. I do agree that the team never got their focus back after the first Cincy game. People forget how much of a struggle the Pats game was if not for two Hines returns. The Miami game, we all thought was a one-off, was probably more a function of the team being in trouble. Then obviously yesterday was an absolute pathetic performance .. worst of the year.
  15. Are they really that passionate? I guess that can come out in different ways. Josh is .. Diggs is .. Rest of the team come across as front runners and soft sometimes. The dancing and goofball shtick is fun when they’re winning .. then comes along a team of actual tough guys with grit who talked their ish all week and we get rocked.
  16. Two games from the Super Bowl and they just decided it’s too much? If that’s the case, they are mentally weaker than I thought .. and we need an even bigger house cleaning. They got punched in the face by a better coached, tougher team. Once they got dazed, they had no plan. No coaches that could help. Just had to take the beating. There are no excuses. It was embarrassing for every single person involved in this organization. It’s the type of loss, in Year 3 of contending, that precedes change.
  17. I’d use Day 3 to fill in gaps on the defense. There may be some weak spots on defense and that’s ok. Chiefs have been coaching around weak spots for two years now.
  18. Seems easy to me. Let Poyer walk. Trade Oliver. Then I’m fine if they re-sign Edmunds. Rest of the guys can be brought back cheap and/or replaced with similar guys in low level FA. Day 1 and Day 2, all three of those picks… WR, OL, OL. Fill in the Defense and a RB on Day 3.
  19. Whats rough is that a lot of people on this board wanted those guys. It’s not a “hindsight is 20/20” type of thing.
  20. The worst part, and the reason why I can’t believe anyone wants Frazier back next year after this (and 13 seconds) was that I didn’t even bat an eye when Cincy went down and scored … I just expected it. In a Divisional Round Playoff Game, I expected the opponent to score a TD on the opening drive and it didn’t even affect me. Think about what that says .. because I know I’m not alone.
  21. Hes been the main aim of my DL frustration since Von went down. He still has some value. Move him for a 2nd if someone offers. Hes good, not great. That’s not the type of player we can pay, so why not move him and use his salary elsewhere. He should not be in our future plans. Would have no problem with this. Elam, Benford and Jackson is fine. We have to accept that with Allen’s contract kicking in, there will be holes… and im not even that down on those 3 as our CB’s as long as we load up the Offense.
  22. Cincy Then rooting for them to get rocked in the Super Bowl
  23. Pretty much. Our most talented CB doesn’t see the field for reasons nobody that studies tape can explain. Our most talented RB needs to be perfect or it’s back to the bench. Shakir … I mean, how on earth did this man not get more playing time this year. He’s clearly one of our top 3 WR’s on this team. The Bernard pick makes me want to vomit right now, but there’s a ton of promise moving forward with those 3 and whatever Benford can be.
  24. 100% Id honestly let Edmunds and Poyer walk. If they have money they can free up for Edmunds, use it in FA on OL. All Day 1 and Day 2 picks should be WR & OL. Fill out the Defense for our new coordinator on Day 3. There will be weaknesses on the defense .. so be it, that’s the reality now. They don’t show up in the playoffs anyway. The key is getting 1-2 elite players on defense to anchor your cheap guys/rookie contracts around, like the Chiefs do with Chris Jones. Yea .. seems pretty similar to the type of guys we’ve drafted.
  25. Id say we’ve drafted pretty similarly to the Chiefs, and we’ll see how they stack up against the Bengals in Arrowhead, but the big difference is they have a monster in the middle of their DL in Chris Jones. They also play their rookies. Who knows what Elam, Cook and Shakir could’ve given us if they were given regular reps all season.
