  1. Super weird tweet by Josh Reed… ”Not a lot of balls to go around after this…” Proceeds to list the same exact players as last year, minus two WR’s that played legitimate snaps.
  2. So, if this is true.. Chandler Jones ❌ Fletcher Cox ❌ Von Miller ❌ Rob Gronkowski ❌ Evan Engram ✅ Danielle Hunter ✅ Christian McCaffrey ✅ Saquon Barkley ✅
  3. This wouldn’t be Cleveland/Baltimore type 2 TE sets. Think Diggs and Davis out wide, Engram in the slot and Knox lined up off tackle.
  4. Engram plays primarily out of the slot. He’d be signed to play with Knox, not back him up.
  5. Yea. He’s a TE that basically plays the slot. He’s still a big body that can be utilized in certain 2-TE sets and will likely be more effective in the slot with Allen throwing to him, Knox in line and Diggs/Davis flanking him. Beggars can’t be choosers. We aren’t flush with cash. He’s a guy that we can hope to elevate.
  6. I don’t see any way Knox is not a long term Bill. Engram would basically give us a TE2/Slot to pair with McKenzie as Gadget/Slot. Dorsey could have a lot fun with a TE2 in 12 personnel who can line up in-line, then flex to the slot, with a slot who can flex to the backfield.
  7. I like McKenzie as WR4 and am hoping that’s what he’s signed as. WR4 in a pass heavy offense isn’t the same as, say, WR4 in Baltimore and Cleveland. If he’s our Day 1 slot, he needs to be better against zone coverage. I do trust that the FO thinks he can be.
  8. I’m actually really high on Engram. Shouldn’t break the bank and he could be a monster in this offense.
  9. This signing makes me think we’re out of the FA market for WR, but will likely take a WR early in the draft. Diggs-McKenzie-Davis is solid, but ideally McKenzie is WR4/gadget in a pass heavy offense. If he starts showing out against zone coverage, then we can re-evaluate him as primary slot.
  10. Probably more of a reflection of the deal actually making sense, rather than say Mike Williams getting $20M per
  11. I like it. Doesn’t change the fact that this Offense needs another legitimate weapon, but it’s good to have McKenzie in the mix for the slot/gadget role.
  12. I do think we’re too hard on Edmunds. He’s a very unique and intriguing player. There’s certainly a reason coaches, ours and others, gush over him, while fans like me get frustrated. That being said… I don’t care what our defense does to Davis Mills in the regular season. I care what they do to top teams and in the Playoffs. Indy ‘21, they were trash KC ‘21, they were trash KC ‘22, they were trash We need more playmakers. Fletcher Cox, Chandler Jones, Danielle Hunter types. All I see on the defense are a bunch of above average players on above average contracts who give us an above average defense that doesn’t stand up in big moments. We need impact players. Hard to do that when we keep paying rotational pieces, depth, above average guys and guys who “are really good, trust me, you just can’t see it..”.
  13. It sounds like they’re also going WR early in the 1st. Seems this is an all-in effort to make sure they know for sure what Baker is this year.
  14. Again, I highly doubt we’re trading him, but this is a situation that makes sense.. depending on how they feel about Edmunds. We get an elite DT on the back end of his career, while a team on the rebuild gets a young high potential linebacker. Despite what we think about him, there are coaches that love him. Saleh, for instance, gushes praise for Edmunds.
  15. We can easily fit Fletcher Cox contract. The team that hypothetically trades for him isn’t on the hook for much this year and next. It’s the Eagles getting crushed with dead cap, which is why the issue here is they - most assuredly - want heavy compensation. They desperately need a talented young LB. Seems if there was ever a trade partner for Edmunds, this might be the move in a player for player swap, but I’d be shocked if we trade him.
  16. If we want a top tier FA, history would suggest that we better be on the phone with their agents tomorrow. Those deals seems to come together pretty quickly. I think we have interest from the top guys. I think we have interest in some top guys. That being said, I also think Beane has a number, and it’s a “we want you, but at this number” type of negotiation.
  17. Nah, just all of us trying to speak it into existence.
  18. I’m not a huge Edmunds fan, but I think he has a ton of potential. If we extend him to alleviate his cap hit next year, ok, fine. If we trade him, great. I do think - until we sign him long term - he could be a surprise trade in a player for player swap. What I don’t love is him, at his cap hit, not locked up long term.
  19. Philly could certainly use a young linebacker…. Sorry, had to… (half joking)
  20. I mean, it honestly doesn’t say a ton… yet. EDGE typically takes a while to develop, unless you’re drafting in the top 5. Guys like TJ Watt developing so quickly are rare, and he had 7 sacks his first year. Good, but not dominant as a rookie. Point definitely valid re: Star, Addison etc.
  21. While I believe we need to A) draft with more urgency or B) become more aggressive…. We had KC beat. That loss is on the coaches.
