Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
BigDingus replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Please don't jinx us! If you think that's the bottom, the football gods may remind us what the bottom REALLY looks like... 😶 Edit: If Allen, Diggs, Gabe, Kincaid, Knox, Rousseau, Von, Dane, Benford, Hyde... well basically ANYBODY ELSE gets injured, I'm blaming YOU! -
The one thing I've enjoyed about the 49ers this year - watching Nick Wright squirm over his bad Brock Purdy takes, continually doubling down or nit-picking weird things to avoid admitting he was wrong. It's waking a lot of people up to his terrible takes, and I never miss an opportunity to remind people this is exactly what he's done with Allen the past several years. But if Purdy wins a Super Bowl before Allen, I'll be pissed 😅

Is a Healthy Von Miller an Option to Replace Milano?
BigDingus replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I only opened this thread so I could click the laughing emoji, then type this comment. We've all had silly ideas before, but this is another level of silly. -
The penalties suck, but I want to know how many were caused by injury replacements. I wasn't paying attention during the game, but if you're missing your 2 best CBs, starting pass rusher, DT, and your best defender period, it'd be easy to see how they'd be a bit less disciplined. Then again, we may have had very few penalties from those guys, and I'm just reaching.

What Did You Do that Caused the Bills to Lose?
BigDingus replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I accidentally wore my white Josh Allen jersey. I swear it's cursed. Every game I've worn it for over the last 2 seasons, we lose. I was never really superstitious, but this weekend turned me. I fell asleep with it on the night before, woke up 30 mins after game started, saw the score and instantly blamed my jersey 😆 -
Bills signing Josh Norman - yes, seriously

Sadly says a lot more about Elam than anything else... 😓 -
Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field
BigDingus replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fans can conjure up whatever imaginary version of Elam they want, but there's a reason a 1st round pick has been a healthy scratch all year and only seeing the field due to injuries. The dude had 11 tackles today. Is that impressive, or is that an indictment of how he was targeted all day, and how many times his guy caught the ball? -
Turns out having so many injuries actually hurts. Especially when those injuries lead to sloppy mistakes and a ton of penalties. Also, look at the box stats. We couldnt run the ball all game/gave up on it, they supported Lawrence with it.

Whenever Von says something, I'm inclined to think the opposite is true. The fact that we still haven't heard anything, less than 24 hours before the game, doesn't inspire much confidence that he's actually playing.

Can't overlook opponents in the NFL. We need to stop penciling in wins, as it's never that easy. Commanders just got blown out by the Bears (who everyone thought was the worst team in the league), Cowboys lost to the Cardinals, we lost to the Zach Wilson Jets... and never forget losing 9-6 to Urban Meyer Jags. Sure, it'd be nice for players dealing with injuries to take a couple games off against "easy" opponents, but there's no doubt in my mind that Daboll is going to want his team sharp against his former team.

https://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/38305/bills-offense-chasing-history-behind-josh-allen-stefon-diggs "Despite the subpar Week 1 performance, the Bills became just the sixth team to score at least 135 points and allow fewer than 60 points through the first four games of a season. The previous five teams to do it all went on to play in the Super Bowl." This article is filled with good information, but this is the only takeaway I care about. I remember a thread from the off-season about QBs winning a SB within their first 5 years, but maybe the Bills are just late bloomers! Sorry if already posted, but I'm just now seeing it, and it definitely got me excited 😅

It's not a great look, but it's pretty well known that players find plays to "take off" to recover some stamina. Especially players like Diggs who are involved in so many plays, even if only as a decoy, you have to pick spots to go half speed or just take yourself out of the game. I'm not saying I like it or don't like it, but going full speed every play will tire you out quick, especially for receivers who have to stretch the field & have a long jog back to the LoS.

At this point, even I'm pulling for Wilson to succeed. Not that I want the Jets to be good or anything, but Wilson seems like he really good dude that I hope will figure it out.

The Dolphins are in huge cap trouble moving forward...
BigDingus replied to warrior9's topic in The Stadium Wall
Aren't we in one of the worst cap positions in the league going into next year? We're one of 8 teams projected over the cap, and it gets even worse in 2025 as there will only be 2 teams with worse cap space. We have 10 players accounting for 70% of our cap next year, and several of them are 30+ years old, dealing with injuries or both. So I'm not going to judge the Dolphins, as I'm sure both them & us will find some way to get under the cap. -
Will we have to replace Dorsey next year?
BigDingus replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I get we're all excited, but have we learned nothing after the past several seasons? It's week 4! We have to quit acting like the season stops here, or that you can just look at current success & pencil that in going forward. As yesterday showed us, even great wins will have major setbacks. After 14 more weeks, who knows how many more injuries players will be fighting through. Point being, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Whether it's Josh Allen MVP talk or Dorsey leaving to take a HC position, let's be optimistic but not take anything for granted. -
McD much better D coordinator than Frazier
BigDingus replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not to toot my own horn, but this game really highlighted what I was talking about. The early stages saw Miami move the ball with ease, with both teams marching up & down the field without issue. But by the end of the game, it was a completely different story. Aside from the obligatory huge run play they gave up, the defense made the necessary adjustments & buckled down HARD. Getting after the quarterback on critical downs, great coverage, getting turnovers, making tackles, etc. Hats off to McDermott & the defense! -
Now if Josh doesn't throw another pass for the rest of the game, he'll finish with a perfect 158.3 passer rating 😁
-
Well, there's the obligatory huge run play we give up each game.
-
I'm devestated for Tre... This time it's the right leg though, so let's hope it's not the ACL
-
It's pretty crazy seeing them get beat down 24-3 by the Titans... The same Titans that just lost 27-3 to the Browns. The same Browns who are losing 21-3 to the Ravens right now. The same Ravens who lost to the Colts last week. I swear, the NFL makes no damn sense... Especially the AFC South & AFC North 😅
-
Dolphins were down 3 scores in the 4th quarter against the Ravens last year, then came back & won. Don't get comfortable! Floyd actually wasn't credited with the sack. It was Groot.
-
Game is nowhere close to being over, but this is where Dorsey & the run game can really prove they can be leaned on when it matters. Don't hurt yourselves, don't turn the ball over, and play smart!

Milano is a god.

At least we came away with points. But 2 turnovers, only 3 points? Last week Washington gaves us 3 turnovers & we scored 0 points off them... Thankfully things turned around, but offense has to capitalize!
