  1. More like 4-2 beginning of the collapse. Our offense can't even play well against Miami's defense... it's pathetic. Yes, defense isn't doing well, but seriously, are we really going to REQUIRE them to play at an absurd level to even have a chance to win? That's not fair.
  2. What exactly is he good at? Throwing deep? ? please... he's one of the worst in the leage. Playing like a RB? I mean, if that's what a good QB is, sure. And for the record, he's run plenty already, more than the majority of QB's in the league. Everyone knows he rolls right 99% of the time too, so passing on the run isn't effective either. What's he "good" at? Competing 50% of his passes, taking sacks, turning the ball over, and missing open receivers.
  3. Lol are you going to pretend he's good?
  4. I hope people are beginning to understand why I don't like Allen as a QB. No awareness, almost incapable of learning from mistakes. At this point is his career, he should be able to tell had to beat an all out blitz, but EVERY time he acts like he has all the time in the world, cant find an open guy and takes a sack. And against Miami's defense of all teams... freaking Miami.
  5. Really not that surprised. This offense is too weak to compensate when the defense isn't playing lights out.
  6. Eh, even though Allen missed a wide open Brown, it's not his fault Knox dropped an easy pass. Mistakes and penalties are going to screw us.
  7. Well, if our offense didn't play like crap every time we got on their side of the field... Our defense wasn't good that drive, but c'mon, at some point can our offense be relied on to help? It's ridiculous our defense HAS to play at an insane level to win a game.
  8. I'm not sure how many people have been following this, but they've been slowly unveiling the list since the beginning of the month, and now we're down to 20 names left. Only two Bills have made the list, OJ Simpson at #40 and Bruce Smith at #28 (unless you count Terrell Owens at #52). Not much, but at least better than the Dolphins currently sitting at 0 players. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl-100/2019/10/01/nfl-100-best-players-all-time/3785514002/ 100. Troy Aikman 99. Gale Sayers For the record, this is how they determined the list (using "19 current and former reporters across the USA TODAY Sports Network"): "While there were no strict parameters, the process for making decisions focused on the field of play and considered elements such as induction to the Hall of Fame, statistics, awards, reputation and the eye test. Each voter was asked to rank 60 players. Those votes produced a list of 170 names. A points system was used for the rankings starting with 60 points for the top player on a list down to 1. Ties were broken by using the highest single vote a player received."
  9. I really hope this isn't a letdown game. Instead of taking it easy & coming in thinking this is a "gimmie" win, I hope the team sees this as an opportunity to pad their stats & put on a show. The defense especially should be excited. They should be frothing at the mouth to pile on the sacks & get some turnovers. On the offensive front, I really hope they use this game as a way to establish the run game and limit Allen's need to make plays himself. At this point, I'd just be happy if he could turn into a competent game manager over what we've gotten so far.
  10. He's actually one of their most accurate pickers.
  11. Now THAT would be awesome.
  12. So apparently Von Miller's idol is Bruce Smith. This is a pretty cool little video with the two of them together. Really cool to see such a great player like Miller take inspiration from one of our greatest players.
  13. Also, here's CBS's straight up picks - https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/straight-up/7 Everyone picked the Bills. Edit: When it comes to the fan picks for each game, the Bills have the highest voting total in their favor. 94% picked the Bills, 6% picked the Dolphins. In comparison, the undefeated 49ers playing against the 1-win Redskins had the vote split 92% to 8%, and the undefeated Pats vs the 1-win Jets had the vote split 88% to 12%. That really says a lot about how awful the Dolphins are considered this year...
  14. Fortunately the same guy on ESPN who picked the Broncos to beat the Chiefs is the same one who picked the Dolphins to beat the Bills. He's also one of only two people to pick the Bengals to get their first win & beat the Jags. But hey, he also has the 2nd best overall record, so maybe he knows something we don't.
  15. "You should know this though, because you do it all the time - Describe Offside." LOL that definitely got a chuckle out of me.
  16. I mean, it's not surprising at all. I'm sure our fans will get pissed and argue how this isn't indicative of the player he is, and that in reality he's the one QB in modern history that's a great player while simultaneously playing like he has... There's definitely room for growth, but man does he have to get MUCH better to be a real franchise QB. Edit: Yup...after reading through some comments, of course people now are just outright dismissing PFF because they don't like what they see. Did anyone really think after watching how Allen's played so far that he'd be ranked higher than these guys? Honestly?
  17. Mariota could easily work with a coordinator & coach that know his strengths. He hasn't had much consistency and has been forced to work a system not fit to his abilities. Don't think he's a top QB or anything, but he could be a Nick Foles/Jared Goff kind of QB who does well within the right system (no, I'm not saying his game is like those 2 QB's though).
  18. The crappiest thing about being so bad offensively is the way in which we fail to take advantage of good field position. Allen turning the ball over is an obvious problem, but the amount of times our defense has flipped field advantage in our favor, or our returners have put us in good position, only to let it go to crap via taking bad sacks, penalties, turning it over or failing to convert a 1st down is so painful to watch. If we can start capitalizing on more of that, even if only with FG's, it'll help dramatically.
  19. Bill Belichick is something like 11-0 against first or second season QB's. In other words, the Jets don't stand a chance, even if Darnold is the real deal. Also, that defense is stupid good and would give experienced QB's trouble. This is the same group that annointed Allen after struggling to defeat a handful of bad teams... People think if they HOPE hard enough, their optimism will manifest it into reality. Too bad we actually have to let them play the games to find out.
  20. I HATE the standing Bison logo. Just looks like a passive target waiting to get killed. Might as well be a grazing cow or pig by a trough. At least the charging logo resembles something that could inflict damage or be feared irl.
  21. I mean, you're not wrong. And just like NFL.com said, the last 2 times we started a season 4-1, we finished with a losing record. The teams we beat are just bad teams, and we struggled against all of them, but at least we're beating the teams we should beat. But even as unimpressive as we've been on offense, we still have 2 games against Miami, and 1 against the Jets, Redskins, Browns, and Broncos. Even if Allen and the offense continue to play poorly, they'd have to play miserably to finish with a losing record this year.
  22. Until Allen has even 1 game where he looks in the same ball park as Patrick Mahomes, I'll always feel bad. Same goes for DeShaun Watson, but that doesn't hurt QUITE as bad, because we only passed on him instead of straight up giving the Chiefs a once in a lifetime QB (when we were desperate for a QB the entire time). It's not just the insane stats, the records being broken left & right, the amazing awareness, the great arm that can throw effortless deep spirals (on point and at any place on the field), the decision making, the lack of turnovers, etc. it's the feel when watching the games that you can tell one guy just KNOWS what he's doing in almost every situation, while the other guy you're crossing your fingers every time you see he's sensing pressure... There's a chance he could escape it, but there's an even more likely chance he'll run around trying to extend the play, hold onto the ball too long, not throw it away, take a bad sack, run into a defender he didn't see (resulting in a fumble), or just lob it up & turn it over. And when he does throw deep, the ball is often an ugly wobbler that almost always misses the mark, whether it's way past the intended target, or so underthrown it makes you question all the talk about his strong arm.
  23. And where do you come up with these percentages? Why should only 5 percent be wrong? Why not 4% or 6% or 12%? And you "guess" they are less than 60% right? Well that's concrete evidence if I've ever heard... So you just guessed that percentage, then decide to get upset about it? How does that make sense?
  24. They didn't crap the bed last year though, Reid got them to the AFC Championship game with what was essentially a rookie QB, and when that QB left the field, they were beating the best team in the league 28-24 with 2 minutes left on the clock. Of course Tom Brady marched them down the field & scored in that 2 mins, but even then the Chiefs didn't just give up, they scored a FG to send it into OT. To get that close with that young a QB, and against the inevitable Super Bowl Champs, HOF Coach & GOAT QB says a lot. Acting like we wouldn't have given anything to be in that position the past 2 decades is just crazy.
  25. Don't these analysts know better than to pick the Bills to do anything good before we're at least over the 6 win mark? Doesn't matter if we're 5-0, until I see that 6th win while off to a fast start, I'm not convinced. The Bills defense is great, but with Allen & this offense playing like they have, it'd be a miracle to get to the AFC Championship game.
