Allen 100% Beasley and Diggs would be next in line. Defense did awesome stuffing the 49ers on many key plays as well. Lastly, let's give credit to the O-line. They were AMAZING in pass protection today. Allen had all day to throw.

Week 13 MNF Bills @ 49ers in Phoenix 2nd Half Thread

Like I said earlier, easily Allen's best game of his career. Not only was it his most complete game aa a passer imo, he showed true command of this offense from start to finish. Hearing him all game being able to recognize coverages and audible at the line was beautiful😁 -

C'mon, be fair. They've been drooling over Allen and our offense all game. -

Holy hell that was a nice punt... Tackling wasn't great, but damn even our punting is beautiful tonight 😂 -

Remember when people said throwing for 300+ yards isn't important? How many of those games have we lost? And in all but 1 of those games, how awesome did our offense look? It's usually an indicator of success, and damn is it nice to watch. -

Only 3 INT's the last 5 games... Why isn't 5 INT's in 5 games huh? Scrub. -

They only hate us when the relays go against us. Obviously that's clear bias. -

Also, how crucial was Diggs on that drive? Even with the TD pass, his very existence makes it so much easier for our other WRs. -

So far, this is my favorite game I've ever seen of Allen. If he continues to play like this, it'll absolutely be his best game as a pro imo. -

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Yet here they are throwing it like crazy. Mayfield just broke their franchise record for most yards in a half or something. Didn't know he was even capable lol -

They look completely outclassed. Either the Browns are a serious playoff threat, or the Titans are asleep at the wheel today. Mayfield's stats would look good after 4 quarters, but it's not even half time. 20/25 for 290 yards & 4 TD's... I like seeing the Titans lose, but I don't want an even better team emerging to threaten our chances either. -

Mayfield looks really sharp today. Damn, 19 first downs compared to Tennessee's 4. Totally dominating them. -

I mean I understand it, but at the same time it didn't look clear one way or another. Used to be if it wasn't definitive you stick with the call on the field, but this year the refs seem to be way more willing to overturn extremely close on the field calls. -

The Browns have a killer run game. If we can step our rushing attack up, it's definitely possible. Also have to get over our big game jitters. Every time we play a big AFC opponent, we seem to play tight and make uncharacteristic mistakes. -

It was a run-pass option on 3rd down. Tua chose not to pass and handed it off. -
Week 12 Post Game thread Bills vs Chargers
BigDingus replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is 100% true, but it's also true for the entire team. For years now, the whole "Bills should have an advantage in bad weather," reputation hasn't applied. It seems to help opposing teams more than it helps us. We tend to squeak by with wins against the bad teams in those conditions, but good teams often make less mistakes and turn the ball over less. Every time I see our offense in an indoor venue, I feel much safer. Then I imagine if that was our home field + our fans, and I can't help but dream of a nice, indoor Bills stadium in the future 😁 -
Unfortunately, the more success Mahomes has, the more certain fans will dig in and insist the Bills made the right move passing on him. You can tell by Mahomes play that he's too flat out talented to have been a failure, Andy Reid being his coach or not. This guy put up 700+ passing yards in a game against Oklahoma, he just has incredible skills. All that really matters though is can Josh deliver us 1 Super Bowl win. Mahomes already has one ring, very likely could end up dominating for a decade + and win several more. But do we NEED several super wins? Imo, no. One win is more than enough to consider Allen a RESOUNDING success. No matter what records Mahomes goes on to break or how many SB wins, MVP awards, etc he gets, 1 Lombardi Trophy brought to Buffalo = Allen a great pick, worth every cent.
-
Wait what? "Thank God"... as if drafting Mahomes would've been some nightmare lol Yes, a transcendent QB that is going to be our biggest obstacle for years to come if we even want to make it to a SB, would've been horrible to have on our side instead of against us.

Shhh! Only the Bills have hindsight though, every other team has to just guess 😜

Despite the setbacks & reappearance of some bad habits in recent weeks, I still like what I've seen of Allen in year 3. The one thing I'd like to see improved is his ability to drop back, make a decision & release the ball in a timely manner. No running around, no sitting back perusing the field, just 5 step drop & sling it. I had noticed this issue to a degree before, but after watching some media pundits talk about his pros & cons, one guy asked (can't remember who) "when was the last time you've seen Allen be ready to pass in stride immediately after completing his drop back?" The last 2 years, Allen has lead the league or been in the top 2 for average time, holding onto the ball, in spite of having very good protection a lot of the time. They talked about how you rarely see 5 or 7 steps back, plant the feet, pass. Now I'm not saying it NEVER happens, I just didn't notice how often that turned out to be true after watching old games & highlights. Hopefully he continues to improve in that area.

Who is your favorite PUNTER in Bills History?
BigDingus replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta be Moorman. I mean he was one of the only legit top tier player the Bills had for years during the drought. It was fun watching him & our ST pin people deep or completely reverse field position after our pitiful offenses did absolutely nothing. -
Is the NFL Better than Ever Today?
BigDingus replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know I'll be in the minority here (because like you said people tend to always be nostalgic for things they grew up with), but I agree with what you said with one exception. As a whole, I think the sport is better. As a product, there are issues, primarily the overabundance of ads & product placement. I get the NFL is a big business always looking for new sources of revenue, but the breaks in game action to discuss sponsors, constant cuts to commercials that last longer than the small bit of game time we watched, and the incorporation of ads into everything can dampen the experience. Hell, just look at stadium names. They're worse than college football bowl games with the amount of sponsorship & name changes, many sounding absolutely ridiculous. It's rare that a stadium has a sports-related or historically significant name that matters to the team/town/franchise. Then next year, you suddenly have a new sponsor, new stadium name & it sounds even more commercialized. Wouldn't be surprised if next year New Era, I mean placeholder name Bills Stadium, is renamed to "Little Caesar's Hot & Ready Bills Coliseum!" -
Pssh, if they get a re-draft, we get a redraft too & can go back & take Mahomes. We can then trade up to take Tre White still instead of using a ton of picks to trade up twice the following year for both Allen & Edmunds. So the Browns can suck it, they can keep Mayfield lol. Though in fairness, I think Mayfield is actually a talented player, that organization is just dumb from top to bottom.
