Damn, I really thought Beasley would get a selection. Looking back at some other WR's in recent Por Bowls, Beasley is just as valuable as many of them. But hats off to the other guys who got there. Nice seeing so many new faces

Trying to get approval for 7,000 Bills fan, waiting to see how the COVID numbers look in early January for the area. So please, even if you think it's no big deal & you personally don't care about the pandemic, if you care about the Bills, help make the numbers look good for those in charge. This team deserves fans in the seats. Even if it's only 7,000, that's 21,000 anywhere else. Band together & stay strong

Oh yeah! Forgot he did stuff with Flair! I just went back to check & now I'm remembering a lot more of his WCW stuff. He was awesome man! -

If I remember correctly, didn't he do a little crossover with WCW & Hogan too? -
Who do you guys want to play in the playoffs?
BigDingus replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm just going to be honest, I haven't watched nearly as much of the other teams this year as I usually do, so I'm not going to pretend any matchup is going to heavily favor us. With that being said, I don't want to see Tennessee, Baltimore or Cleveland. Any team that can really control the clock, pound the ball regardless of weather, and play efficient football is gonna be tough. -
MMQB on Josh Allen's development
BigDingus replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's pretty crazy to think about... I only wish they could've been the ones to take down Brady & Belichick while they were still together, but oh well. On another note, my 9 year old self was using email in 1995! 😁 -
Ex Bills TE Logan Thomas Quietly Having a Great Season
BigDingus replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember as a kid I thought Jay Riemersma was like the best TE ever. I don't even recall why, and I've never looked back to see if he was really any good. There was just this feeling he caught everything thrown his way in my child eyes 🤣 -

Week 15 Bills @ Broncos 2nd Half Gameday Thread
BigDingus replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope I'm not jinxing them, but the way I can tell this Bills team has improved in recent weeks is their ability to make adjustments after half and carry over momentum. No more dead 3rd quarters (or the dead halves where it takes until the last couple drives to remember we can still score). I believe these Bills will come out swinging. -
Knox makes some pretty stellar plays, and he works hard. For the foreseeable future, he's McDermott's guy.

Just had a funny experience & thought I'd throw my hat into the "ran into a Bills fan where I never expected it" ring. So I work overnights at a fairly large County Jail in Texas, and 2 nights ago I was bringing in an inmate to process. He was drunk, rude, talking all kinds of s*** and just being a genuine pain in the behind. I tell him to stand against the wall & wait to be patted down, then I go to where we take mugshots (which is about 8 feet in front of him and start getting his paperwork together. As I'm doing this, I grab my coffee tumbler and downing that sweet elixir when all of a sudden the guy just shuts up. I just thought "thank god," as I proceeded to setup the camera. About 10 seconds later, out of nowhere he just blurts out "Josh Allen is a STUD!" which absolutely threw me right off. I paused, looked up at him & just stared confused as hell as to why he just said that. I NEVER hear anything Bills-related in my city, and not once in 3 years in the jail. I just said "Sorry, what did you say?" even though I heard it clearly, I was just completely taken aback. He responded "Bro, the Bills are kicking ass this year! Diggs put this team over the top!" At that point, I didn't even care how much of a prick he was before that, I was so excited to hear Bills talk that I just completely dropped everything & stood there chatting it up for 10 minutes 😂 He got just as excited, then went on & on about how he wishes he could visit Buffalo, how he grew up loving them (post-Kelly), but they've never been good, and was so thrilled to meet another Bills fan that he couldn't stop apologizing for being so obnoxious earlier. Finally, I realized that I had no clue how he even knew I was a Bills fan, and he just pointed to my coffee tumbler. It was my Bills one, which I never bring to work but for some reason grabbed that night. Anyway, from that point on he was the most cooperative, calm & overly nice inmate I've ever dealt with. He asked for my name wanting to meet up to watch a game sometime, but yeah... wasn't willing to go that far lol. * * * TL;DR - Met another Bills fan in jail. He was an a-hole. Then he became the most chill person ever, all because of a mutual love for the Bills. 👍

I love the NFL... The small market Buffalo Bills are finally rising to the top, while the massive market Jets are still floundering away in perpetual limbo, no matter how much money their ownership would be willing to spend if there weren't a salary cap. Reminds me of my entire family's favorite no-name team in DC. Poor Dan Snyder would spend every last penny to get a championship, but unfortunately for him he has to rely on smart decision making instead...and we see how that's working out 😉

Will other teams make draft mistakes because of Josh?
BigDingus replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bingo. And that same organization was so comfortable with Peterman & a raw rookie in Allen that they felt fine ditching AJ McCarron, not signing any veterans, and going into the season with 2 inexperienced QBs with what, 2 full games as a pro under their belts? They felt fine with this knowing we had a porous O-line, one of the worst WR corps I've ever seen fielded and had no backup plan in case things went sour...leaving them scrambling to sign Derek Anderson out of retirement, then Matt Barkley off the park bench. The way things played out was VERY Bills-like, and it could've gone the way of the Jets, ruining their potential franchise QB. Thankfully they learned from their mistakes & didn't get Josh killed in year 2, and did everything they could up through this year to get additional help. Other teams might not be so fortunate if they go the same route. -
Ok, you can tell a couple times he's trying to force back a smile 😂 It's just so ridiculous even he knows it's funny, that's why he's bringing it up on TV. Good job Bills fans, you all are the best!

https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/30532083/stefon-diggs-buffalo-miracle-man Damn, a Bills player being the cover story. Who woulda thunk it? Really makes you wonder what all those Vikings fans laughing about how this trade would blow up in our faces are thinking right now 😂 Oh, and this snippet made me smile: "My mom was screaming at the top of her lungs," Diggs remembers. "Originally, she said, 'I want some of them chicken wings!'" He laughs. "She was happy for me. She was happy for a new beginning."

Agreed 100% The best thing is we're finding different ways to win games, even if everything isn't going well. Chargers: Allen not having the best game passing, establish the run & put up 172 rushing yards! 49ers: What's rushing? Just throw for nearly 400 yards & 4 TD's! Steelers: Defense stifling us in the 1st half, ok, our defense can do that too! Halftime adjustments happen, voila! Offense is back as well

Last year, the biggest knock on us was our record was due to the easiest schedule in the league, going 2-4 against teams with winning records at the time we played them. Those 2 wins were against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving (who finished the season 8-8) and a 17-10 victory against the Delvin Hodges-lead Steelers (who also finished 8-8). ******* Fast-forward to this season, and everything has changed dramatically. Aside from having far less doormats for opponents on the schedule, we have already won games against the following: 1) Dolphins (8-5) - 2nd in the division 2) Rams (9-4) - Leaders in the division 3) Raiders (7-6) 4) Seahawks (9-4) - 2nd in the division 5) Steelers (11-2) - Leaders in the division That's a combined record of 44-21. Also worth noting, the only teams we've lost to also have winning records. The Chiefs (12-1 & NFL's best record), Titans (9-4 & leading their division) and the Cardinals (7-6). Unlike last year, there's not a single loss against a team with a losing record (we lost to the 6-10 Browns & the 7-9 Jets in 2019, though Allen didn't play the Jets game). ******* This team is MAJORLY improved, especially in terms of their mentality imo. Many people doubted us last year, myself included, as racking up wins on bottom feeders (sometimes barely escaping with wins) didn't inspire much confidence. But in 2020, we've already proved we can hang with the competition. 5-3 against teams with winning records, and only one big loss, this team can hang with anyone. If you're like me and suffer from Bills PTSD, it's understandable if you constantly have a "I'll believe it when I see it" attitude. Thing is they've already shown us all we need to see. This is a much improved team, and it's not just because we added Stefon Diggs 😉

John Brown designated to return from IR
BigDingus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great news, if he's fully healthy, Brown makes this group possibly the best WR corps in the NFL. Diggs, Brown, Beasley & Davis...that's a scary group of receivers. -
I think Hyde, White, Diggs, Allen, and possibly Beasley. Poyer deserves to be there, but he seems to get overlooked a lot for some reason. Also, I'd say Allen would be ranked top 25 but not top 10 just yet. Only 3 QB's made it on 2020's list (Jackson, Wilson & Mahomes), with Jackson being the reigning MVP and Mahomes being the reigning Super Bowl MVP. If Allen & the Bills make it to the Super Bowl, there's a chance. Otherwise, Mahomes, Rodgers, and possibly even Wilson again would be put ahead of Allen. Remember, the NFL's top 100 list is voted on by the players. Players have a different view than fans do, and Wilson has a ton of respect from his peers. Statistically, Allen is tied for 6th with Ryan Tannehill in TD passes, 6th in passing yards, 6th in yards per game, and tied for 3rd among QB's in rushing TD's. Again, a long playoff run or Super Bowl appearance would heavily swing many players opinions though.

Jets Fan Admitting Josh Allen is Better and Why
BigDingus replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You may be right. And hey, you might be biased, but you've also seen him play consistently. I was in love with Mahomes when he was at Texas Tech (my alma mater) & I was still living in Lubbock. I watched him play in some crazy weather, put up insane numbers, and only lose games because Tech had like the 120th ranked defense in the country. Was I biased? Definitely. But I thought he was a perfect fit for the Bills, but was constantly told he was a "system QB." Now I'm hearing from people like you & others who follow Clemson who are putting Lawrence on the same pedestal. Given Deshaun Watson's success, and people I trust saying he'll be an even better pro than him, I really hope the Jets screw up & don't have the chance to draft him...or if they do, they pull a Jets & utterly ruin him 😂
