  1. Now we're just trying to lose.
  2. If we're being fair, you may as well throw Allen into that mix. The 2 games we've lost this season have just as much to do with him as it does the defense.
  3. Frazier can clearly coach a defense. The personnel assembled seems like a waste of a bunch of high draft picks. I can't even remember the last time I heard Oliver's name, or saw Edmunds have a good game. Even White looks pedestrian with such an inept D-line.
  4. We need to keep the ball away from the Chiefs offense for as long as possible. The defense can't stop anyone, and a quick 3 & out will just make our already exhausted defense look even worse.
  5. This looks like such a Tyrod game from Allen... Almost the 4th quarter, 9 of 21 passing for 66 yards. Oof.
  6. I'm not so sure about that either at this rate. You never know with this team, and the Jets tend to play us close (or just beat us) at least once a year. Our defense is a mess, and if Allen keeps playing like this, every game this season will be rough to watch.
  7. This hurts to watch. If Allen was just playing at 50% of his potential, we'd be winning this. Right now he looks like he's straight up reverted to the past 2 seasons
  8. Diggs is stupid good. I mean, he impressed me last year (followed him closely with him being on my fantasy team), but he's already made his presence felt way more than I ever could've expected so early on in the season.
  9. And this is why I figured John Brown would be more needed for this game than anyone else. If we're going to win, we need our offense to carry us. This defense hasn't been able to stop anyone this year, so stopping the Chiefs was a pipedream. Unfortunately, Allen is missing everything & Brown dropped one of the few good passes...looking like a long night.
  10. I don't think so. He's saying the exact same things I have when watching Allen, and not because I don't like him. He's already missed wide open guys 4 times tonight, nevermind, make that 5, and it's not because I don't like him.
  11. It's not like he called bad plays. All of them were right there.
  12. I hate that this game starts at 5 PM (4 PM where I am). What the heck kind of start time is that for such a big game, even if it was delayed... I'm more annoyed because the start of the game is when there's the most optimism. I don't want to pull my phone out after getting off work and seeing us down by several scores before half lol And given how our defense is playing, I'm worried I'm going to miss the good stuff!
  13. I can't remember any bad weather games post-Flutie where it benefited the Bills. I'm sure there's a couple, but it always seems to hurt us more than help. Combined with Allen's improvement as a passer, that's the main reason I'd want an indoor stadium for the team.
  14. Great to hear, especially for the defense. But against the Chiefs, I feel we need Brown on the field more. Our defense, and defenses across the league, have had trouble with the rampant scoring going on. If we're going to win Monday, we need our offense to keep up with the Chiefs. Brown provides speed, route running and another credible threat. This offense is going to need to score a lot, otherwise it could get out of hand quick.
  15. I was listening to ESPN radio the other day, and both Greeny and whoever else was discussing the game gave equal blame to Allen and Roberts. Said Allen threw the pass behind him, but Roberts still had a shot.
  16. Amen! Best mindset to have. 👍
  17. I've never been sold on Edmunds unfortunately. He was supposed to be this stud LB that would anchor the group for years to come...a Patrick Willis type if you will. He's above average in coverage when the rest of the DB's are healthy, but he's not consistent game to game. Oliver isn't the Aaron Donald type DT he was so often compared to. That much is obvious. Don't know what can be done about that at this point, but it seems the scouting department/coaching staff needs to utilize their picks better. Our drafts really haven't yielded many hits aside from Tre, and that was technically when Whaley was still in office instead of Beane right? As long as Allen pans out, we ultimately still win in the long run. But as long as the Packers have had Aaron Rodgers, how much has their drafting throughout his tenure really helped him? We don't want that situation (tbh, I may just be forgetting some solid early round picks from them, but I just can't think of any).
  18. Yes, he's pretty good. Better than some other QB's that won Super Bowls off the backs of their defense & run game. So, yes. He's got enough talent & skill, along with enough proficiency in the system he's in right now to play above his weight class. "Pretty good," is right on point.
  19. I can see how it came off that way, but just trying to put a bit in perspective and keep the light shining. Team is far from dead is all. And yeah, people underestimating the Titans was dumb. But you know when the Bills get a few wins hype gets to 100% fast, coupled with the Titans/COVID coverage, people severely overlooked what could happen tonight.
  20. I'm not trying to make excuses, just explaining that this wasn't some season-defining, team-warping loss that fell out of the sky, and that the Titans are a seriously good team. That is all. Our injuries weren't to insignificant players. They were to some of our absolute best players on the team. The Titans were 1 win away from a Super Bowl appearance last year, only losing to the eventual Super Bowl winners. They're obviously still that same top-tier team. But yes, I agree 10-6 could be the final record for this team. I would like to reiterate that 10-6 this season is far more impressive than 10-6 last season.
  21. I'd say a C+ would be generous. That's not to say he won't rebound, but today was not an above average game...not unless we're grading him on a 2019 scale.
  22. And my professional opinion is Allen is A-OK still 😉 So is Leslie Frazier. So is Brian Daboll. Let's look at this situation for what it really is: 1) This is the NFL. Even the best teams have bad games. 2) This is the NFL. Even great QB's have bad games. 3) We were missing our best CB in White 4) We were missing a key offensive weapon in 1,000+ yard receiver & deep threat John Brown 5) We were missing Matt Milano...someone we desperately need to fortify the LB corps 6) Our DT's have been suspect all year, and as I say each week, Star is missed 7) This might be the most important thing to remember, the Titans are a VERY GOOD TEAM. On top of the other inactive players, injured, IR or otherwise, we were going to lose at some point. The Titans made it to the AFC Championship game last year, we were playing on the road (and for the first time, seems the limited crowd noise provided some semblance of home field advantage), and the team wasn't up to the task. TODAY. Yes, the Titans were limited as well & had less practice time due to COVID, but the NFL is weird. The rest could've done them some good, they had a lot to prove, the Bills could've came in overconfident, etc. Allen made some bone-headed mistakes, but so did others. Dropped passes, inability to cover the middle of the field, and our Achilles heal under McDermott - our poor play & lack of adjustments after half, penalties, poor special teams play (though Bojorquez was nailing his punts), etc. all of which contributed to the results tonight. Lesson hopefully learned. I don't expect our defense to suddenly play great again until the personnel required has returned, but I also don't foresee Allen resorting back to this type of play after the progress he's made this year. So chin up Bills fans, our schedule is a LOT more difficult than the cake walk we had last year. If we finish 10-6 with this schedule, it's 100 x more impressive than 2019. /this concludes tonight's Ted Talk
  23. Beasley. Then again, Beasley is always under utilized unfortunately. He could justifiably be a larger portion of our offensive gameplan every game, but it seems like either McDermott, Daboll or Allen forget about how versatile & reliable he is week in & week out.
  24. No. Fans blaming coordinators any time on-field execution goes bad is so cliché at this point. Haven't we learned our lesson yet? Every year we always blame the OC...whether it was Manuel or Tyrod or Allen, didn't matter. EXECUTION and PERSONELL matter, and no coordinator can just make miracles happen. Why does McDermott get all the praise when the D is top 3, but when our injury-ridden, personnel-lacking D plays poorly (in a season where scoring has gone up dramatically across the league), it's now the DC? Again, no. We know Frazier can coach. We need healthy players & better execution.
  25. Allen needs to be quick and decisive this drive and not come out trying to do too much. A bad sack or forcing into triple coverage again could kill us. Too bad our run game isn't helping him much right now.
