  1. In 7 years, it'll likely be even more expensive to renovate. It's just crazy to look at how much it cost teams like Arizona, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, etc. to build their stadiums...yet we'll be paying half a billion jsut for renovations. If we keep pushing it back, costs will just soar even more out of reach. When you think about it, Jerry World was the crown jewel of the NFL & treated like a crazy attraction. By the time we start building, we'll probably be paying more than Jones did. Sinking another half a billion dollars into renovations just feels like a huge money sink. Bite the bullet, take the hit now, and foot the bill for a new venue so we can avoid throwing more money away down the line.
  2. When I was a kid, I wondered why teams didn't just draft QB's in every round until they found the good one lol. Figured if they needed one so bad, just use all 7 rounds to keep grabbing them until one pans out.
  3. Every year we wait it just gets more expensive. Another round of renovations being half a billion dollars? Teams spent that much a decade ago building entirely new stadiums. Also, I laughed at this last line - "As the NFL’s only New York-based franchise, the Bills in 2013 were estimated to generate $20 million annually in state taxes." I mean, it's not nothing but it's hardly something to point to for why the state should pony up a ton money lol
  4. Tre answering the phone the way he did made me laugh the most. Then his response "Why TF you call me then!?" was even better 🤣
  5. ***This response isn't to you specifically, just the one mindset you pointed out since I've heard it many times*** Making him out to be a villain or bad for taking what he's worth is unfair. Implying he's not a high character or team-first guy for taking a normal deal for a QB of his talent is messed up. I think it reflects poorly on fans who are acting like he'd be doing us dirty by getting a FAIR deal. It's his job to play his best & be committed to winning. It's the organization's job to pay him what he's worth & his agent's job to figure out what Josh wants. If you were one of the top in your entire position, would you feel it's fair for your employer to offer you LESS money than others who don't work as hard as you? If Dak & other QB's are making $40 million per year, and the Bills came out & offer him $35 million, that makes Josh not a team-first guy if he refuses? He is a team-first guy, he's the key to the team's success. The minute you start undervaluing a franchise QB (if that's what you believe he is), and acting like he should get paid less is the minute you find yourself back in another playoff drought. I think it'd be disrespectful to offer Josh less than everyone else & EXPECT him to take a discount...and if he doesn't, he's somehow not team-first.
  6. I know it's not a FA signing, but I'm just excited to have Star back next season. Why am I saying that on this thread? It's 5:53 am & I'm just saying whatever comes to mind dammit
  7. No matter how good a prospect is, a dumpster fire organization can destroy their chances. The Bills would've ruined Andrew Luck or Patrick Mahomes under previous regimes. Darnold is pretty unlikely to suddenly emerge as a great QB after what he's been through, but he could at least turn it around into an Alex Smith-like career under better management.
  8. Now that Dak is getting $40 million a year, Josh's agent won't let him take less regardless of how much he likes the city.
  9. Wish we could just see it without factoring in the AFCE. All 4 AFCE teams are in the top 6. Of course, Brady & the Bucs manage to get #1 despite winning the SB.
  10. I haven't commented on this thread yet because I'm still so bummed. Can't believe I'm this bitter over replacing a punter, but dammit I am!
  11. If something gets downvoted or any generally negative reaction from the community, does it still tick up the reputation score?
  12. Wait, you mean to tell me he not only stayed around for several seasons, but registered 6 total sacks?! As far as I remembered him, that's overachieving lol I guess the Jets really will keep anybody around...
  13. Congratulations on creating the most one-sided disliked threat I think I've ever seen... Considering all the things posted on here, that's quite the accomplishment.
  14. That was my point. I "wonder" if he played a full season's worth of games. Did the guy even play 16 games total in his entire NFL career?
  15. Dammit, I wanted this guy as Josh's backup for his entire career! COME BACK MATT!
  16. 4,500 Passing yards 300 Rush yards 33 Pass TD's 8 Rush TD's 5 INT's 5 Fumbles 2 Gasp-inducing non-injuries 16 New handshakes 5 Viral videos 2 National commercials 1 Movie cameo 9,403 Nick Wright segments 1,002 Newborn babies named in his honor
  17. Aaron Maybin. I wonder if he played a year's worth of games. What a waste of a pick.
  18. Side Note: Can we just build that damn dome already? Seeing this QB throw to this group of WR's would be even more amazing if Josh didn't have to face the conditions so often. He can just sling it like no other indoors. Next step in FA, sign the DOME!
  19. Going into his 13th season, not in his prime anymore but can definitely be productive. If anything, he's another good redzone threat & can provide some valuable experience & leadership to the WR corps. Still think we need someone to replace the sheer speed of John Brown, but love the signing.
  20. These numbers make my stomach churn...
  21. More like 4th & 30, but definitely not 4th & 15. Seriously, onside kicks are supposed to be extremely rare & extremely difficult to pull off. 4th & 15 would be a hell of a lot easier.
  22. All I can say is I hope not. Brown can be a huge threat on this team as long as he's healthy. You never know who might go down at any given point, and having Diggs, Brown, Beasley & Davis is huge.
  23. True. But can any of those guys say Adam Gase was my coach for 2 years? No? Then Darnold may as well be an undiscovered mystery born yesterday, all the potential (or not) in the world. I'd sooner forgive 2 seasons of Gase over any of the other transgressions lol The Jets are where QB's go to have their potential murdered. Until they escape that hellhole, nobody will ever know their true talent.
  24. Oh sure, give the cartoon pigs their attention, but will anyone ever think of the cartoon CHILDREN!?! For Pete's sake, there's one in my avatar with a ninja star through his eye...for at least a decade now! Has anyone helped? Hell no!
