  1. But you're a Bills fan, so you should understand this team plays down to the competition & keeps bad teams in the game with their turnovers. It's not really a farfetched scenario if the Bills play like that have in recent weeks. If they finally play to their potential & can successfully run the ball, then they can blow the Steelers out of the park.
  2. Oooooh... is that what he meant? Whenever I hear "us" or "we" on this board, I'm assuming it just means the Bills as a team or Bills fanbase as a whole.
  3. None of that was trolling though. Turning it over a bunch of times on the road is a recipe for disaster. Let's stop pretending this is normal or a good way to win a Super Bowl. I'm happy we won too, but why is everyone acting like it's mission accomplished here? It's like we haven't seen Allen go a game without an INT for so long, that we're numb to the sheer amount of turnovers plaguing this team. If we can win while still throwing multiple picks in the playoffs, it'll be a testament to our coaching, defense, ST and the entire roster (Josh included) for pulling it off.
  4. Yeah... still lost on the thread title. Read through the whole thread trying to figure out how it went over my head, but I guess I'm too derpy to get it.
  5. Buffalo weather better not ruin Buffalo football again! I swear, I'll drive up there & piss in Lake Eerie if it costs us a game 😡
  6. AFC: 1. Ravens 2. Browns 3. Bills 4. Chiefs 5. Texans 6. Dolphins 7. Steelers NFC: 1. 49ers 2. Rams 3. Cowboys 4. Lions 5. Packers 6. Bucs 7. Eagles
  7. I know it's not supposed to be taken seriously, but not having Watson starting kinda ruins the potential intrigue of Browns v Texans. Also, does anyone really care if Mike McCarthy beats the Packers 5 years later? The only one of those matchups that genuinely has a cool story line is Lions vs Rams. Tyreek going back to KC is neat, but I guess I just don't care that much 😅
  8. I want the Chiefs visiting Buffalo. Get that monkey off our back. Allen won't be changing the "turnover machine" narrative any time soon, but he can change the narrative around losing to the Chiefs in the playoffs. It would also give Allen & the Bills a 4-3 head-to-head record against the Chiefs in the process.
  9. Allen had a worse day than him, maybe we should bench him? 🙄
  10. Or you know, our QB turns it over every time we're within striking distance of actually scoring points.
  11. It probably drives him crazy that this entire season has been like this.
  12. But is it? Huh... I must be watching a different game than you again.
  13. I think it's time people accept that Allen hit his ceiling. He's only gotten worse over the years. To win a SB with him would require an offensive genius OC & a ton of weapons that can carry Josh.
  14. Again, impossible for Josh to go without throwing picks. Complain about "the narrative," but it is earned.
  15. It was only 3 of 6 losses. Jets, Jags & Bengals he didn't walk off the field with a lead , but yeah... he definitely deserves a lot of the blame for the other 3 losses too. Patriots: 1 INT / 1 Fumble - losing the entire game until 1:58 left in the 4th (at the time, they were considered the worst team in the league) Broncos: 2 INTs / 1 Fumble - losing the entire game until 1:55 left in the 4th Eagles: He did great overall, so he doesn't deserve much blame for this loss. The INT really hurt, but he did played about as well as you could hope otherwise But regarding the OP's point, this is the narrative around Allen. I get downvoted like crazy any time I bring it up, but you can't go anywhere online talking about Allen without a chorus of people telling you he's a turnover machine that chokes in big moments.
  16. I still don't think it'll provide much of an "advantage" either way. Bills fans travel well, but I still expect 60%-70% will be Miami crowd.
  17. You know, I was ready to crap all over this idea, but then I realized this could be the solution to the NFL's expansion problem. People keep thinking they'd need to add 8 teams at once to preserve balance, but with this they'd only have to add 2 (and you could still do a round-robin conference schedule). Still prefer the normal setup, but this wouldn't be completely terrible either.
  18. Mike Tomlin is a fantastic coach. Aside from never finishing with a losing record, his teams almost always win the games they're supposed to win.
  19. Not a coincidence, but Allen's passing hasn't really been much different between Dorsey & Brady. With Dorsey, Josh averaged 35 attempts, 1.9 passing TDs vs 1.1 INTs per game With Brady, Josh averages 32 attempts, 1.3 passing TDs vs 0.8 INTs per game. If you want to remove the 1 outlier game for both Dorsey & Brady (Josh's 3 INT Jets game and his 7 for 15 attempts against the Cowboys), it's even closer: Dorsey - 34 attempts, 2 TDs v 0.9 INTs per game Brady - 35 attempts, 1.4 TDs v 1 INT per game Overall, we're 2-4 when Josh has 40+ attempts this year, but even under Brady we're still passing quite a lot. If Josh isn't finding his receivers (or they're dropping passes), Brady needs to find a way to get the run game going more effectively. The more you have Allen pass, the more likely he's going to force the issue to try & makeup for past failures... ultimately leading to even worse outcomes.
  20. Only if it results in a change of HC & an offensive-minded replacement. If it's just another year with McD, may as well back into the playoffs & flame out.
  21. I feel more confident than last year, though that has more to do with the relative weakness of the competition. Last year, the Bills looked extremely shakey the later we got into the season. It was pretty obvious they weren't long for the playoffs. This year is similar, but the competition is much more beatable. Baltimore is the one exception, but most likely we'd have to wait until the AFCCG to even play them (assuming Bills get into the playoffs via the straight-forward way).
  22. Nick Wright actually made a point I agree with today (among many I disagree with). He said if the Steelers lose Saturday, he expects the Bills will play significantly better Sunday knowing they're only playing for seeding. But if Steelers win, the Bills having 24 hours digesting the added pressure will make them come out tight & play worse. Leadership isn't as strong this year, and McDermott's voice may not be connecting like it once was. I also just believe Josh absorbs all the stress & chatter fans do.
  23. Well damn, I'm behind the times. Thanks for the correction. In that case, change it to "questionable," just something so that the world is aware he's dealing with something significant (allegedly).
