Lol. 2 days after the Superbowl. Talking about how they dont like football anymore, on a football teams message board. They played Rap welcome to 1990……. NFL has never been better. The Bills have never been better. Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert and Jackson have the game in good hands for years to come.

2022 Offseason Primer Position Group: Defensive Line
Mat68 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would explore trade options. Need a plug and play player on the dline. Whether its De or interior im ok with it. I would look at Lawrence or Williams from the Giants for a cap dump. -
2022 Offseason Primer Position Group: Secondary
Mat68 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont think you kick the can on both 30 plus safeties. The cap gets smaller and smaller each year with Allens deal. I sit pat at safety. Go Cb at 25. Let Wallace walk. Need a future #1 to hedge against tres injury. Ability to man up at 3 spots with Johnson, White and rookie will be important. -
Beane has targeted positions in the first few rounds. I expect Cb is high on the priority list. Possible offensive weapon. Would be shocked to see guard, rb, lb or saftey in rd 1.

Get Edmunds to take a team friendly deal similar to Milano. Lower the cap hit for this year. Linebaker is very low on Buffalos list this offseason imo.

Regardless of what he thought, he works for the owner. Sure you cant blatantly throw games. Even though the delivery seemed off by Ross, Flores went against him at every turn. In the meantime, mishandled the relationship with his players. Those are mistakes first time coaches and really any manager could do. That is why many get 2nd attempts. If you dont win those decisions become larger issues. Flores mismanaged his stay with Miami. He showed an ability to get man to play hard for him. The other aspects of a head coach he failed at. Not accepting that will result in him not getting hired again. That is not because of a lawsuit or skin color.

Trade Edmunds who plays Mike? Edmunds was a highly touted pick. Buffalo traded up for Allen and Edmunds mind you. A day 2 or 3 pick walks in and plays better or as good? Find a 4 year starter in college and he is the same age or older than Edmunds today. This is not 1999.

Buffalo Bills’ salary cap ramifications of cutting DT Star Lotulelei
Mat68 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was when Buffalo really wasnt a place FA would go. I think they felt they had to pay above market to fill a need. Especially, with Williams retiring. He hasnt played so poorly that he has to be cut. Id expect him to be on the team. Not knowing what happens with Phillips, Star is a decent starter on paper. Having a day 2 pick or tier 2 or 3 FA yo compete with makes sense. -
Chark. I think he would be monster. Could get him on the cheap. True 4.3 guy with size.

Gadget player and moving on from Isaiah McKenzie
Mat68 replied to bubba2018's topic in The Stadium Wall
So far I dont hate the Wr Beane has targeted. Brown, Beasley, Davis, Diggs and Sanders. He chased Brown, Sanders and Diggs for multiple offseasons and trade cycles. Use that and look at the draft. Every year the fastest clocked guy isnt the best guy. If they go wr day 1 or 2 I really like Jahan Dotson. Fast enough to win outside. I think he has everything to be a deadly route runner. -
Yes. At a lower cap hit than his 5th year option.

Texans getting closer to hiring Josh McCown as Head Coach
Mat68 replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Just do it man. Happens in other sports all the time. He has been teaching offenses to Qbs his whole career. I dont see why its such a big deal honestly. -
Wasnt a fan of bringing him in as an OC. What he did at LSU and with Sean Payton, Brady is a homerun as QB coach. If something happens with Dorsey they got a guy on deck.
-
At this point does it matter? Allen is the franchise. He wants his Qb coach as the Oc make it happen. Keep him happy.

Giants cap situation and potential trade options
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont want a trade for a RB to be the main offseason move. He would eat up alot of money. Would he be open to an extension that is team friendly? Idk. -
Don't be surprised if Josh Allen has a bumpy 2022
Mat68 replied to beebe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Still got Diggs Davis and Knox. The language will stay the same in the offense. The new aspects to the offense will make for a hot start imo. Having a new mind and eyeballs will push Allen to be even better. Daboll is good but he is not Bill Walsh or Vince Lombardi. -
Giants cap situation and potential trade options
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
What many forget. Daboll was not part of the tare down in Buffalo. Mcdermott was able to isolate veteran leadership and remove those that didnt work or follow his way regardless of salary. Beane was able to flip those players Mcdermott wanted out and piled assets to get Allen. NYG are in a severely worse position than Buf was. Idk what leadership is there and they have no cap to absorb the cap implications of removing the past contract mistakes. -
Cast a wide search. Who has the best vision of the offense and Allen. Where ever that takes em, I am ok with it. New wrinkles. More schemed open guys. Every play cant be Allen read the defense make the right throw. The offense needs a little, vs this look this guy will be wide open type plays. The best offensive minds do this with regularity.

Tom Brady? Yes. In any capacity. Joe Brady? No.

Bills interviewing Raiders WR coach Edgar Bennett for OC
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cast a wide net. Find the next Shannahan, Mcvay, Lafluer. That will require talking to guys the fans dont know. They could also be putting together a completely new offensive staff. More than OC possible Qb coach aswell. -
Bills request to interview Tee Martin for OC Job
Mat68 replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall
Think outside the box. Buffalo has to stay creative with the offense. The job will be highly sought after. No issue at all talking to people they feel are talented.
