This is a big question. Spector or Matykavich? Spector is more athletic and has more natural instincts imo. Is he better than a guy who played special teams only for 6 years? No. Could he be above average? Imo yes. Neal and Jones are big fast guys so they are good at gunner. They really are not natural football players imo. They are athletes who found a niche. I cant justify keeping both. Blackshear still imo can make PS. Bedford and Lewis are worth keeping vs Neal being below average at both positions.

Quinton Morris is better and can play Hback.

Buffalo is facing a cross roads. Cap situation is only getting tighter. Do they take some lumps on teams with young cost controlled players that flash ability to contribute on offense or defense. Or keep the core teams players? Main guys on the list Tiwan Jones, Jake Kumerow, Tyler Matykavic, and Siran Neal. Blackshear/Duke Johnson or Jones? Hodges or Kumerow? Matykavic or Spector? Cam lewis or Siran Neal? Im for keeping the younger cheaper guys. If they flash on teams but try hard im ok with a net neg on special teams while protecting young guys who can play on offense or defense. At this point the veterans I have mentioned have not proved to be positive impacts on offense or defense.

He is going to be a big help. I am blown away by the teams depth and ability to get the best out of players. Say what you will about the backup oline but they held there own early vs the starting Colts Dline.

Melvin Engram destroying Spencer Brown was not ideal. Allen at this point is like a young Big Ben. He won with poor OL. It became a team building problem. Allen is so good he covers up flaws. The Oline is/was a flaw. Quessenberry is a possible starter at LG, RG and RT. Saffold Bates and Brown need to close the door. Do to injury that hasnt happened yet.

And its not really a battle. The list of things Hauck is better than Ariza at is shrinking by the minute.

During the drought years there are all starters. I think Epenesa is a lock. Than Moss than Ford. I expect all three make it. 2 seconds and a third rder are on the bubble. The depth of this roster is scary. The journey man or undrafted guys have to play with their hair on fire to beat these guys out. To make this roster you have to be a player.

Still remember watching Priest Holmes in the 4th quarter of a preseason ripping 20 yard run after 20 yard run for the Ravens. A few years later gets his shot in KC and the rest is history. Fred Jackson was a preseason monster for a few years before he got his shot. Every now and again you see guys make plays who when given a chance on Sundays never look back. Give me some tackle football.

Sooner or later Crowder needs to beat out Mckenzie or distance himself from Shakir. The blocking and teams makes Kumerow almost a lock. I could see Shakir over Kumerow but that mean Crowder puts in work. Not impossible, but the overall landscape is real for a guy a month ago a slam dunk lock by many.

So glad him and Mckissick chose the way they did. Cook is a better prospect than either. He was THE big play threat for the best team in the country. In the biggest games he had his biggest plays. Cook is going to a Kamara or Mccaffery type player. Very quickly he becomes the main back.

Im not saying Crowder is dead but he is behind Mckenzie. Everyday goes by Shakir is gaining ground.

Kumerow for blocking and teams dresses. Crowder behind Mckenzie, Shakir and Austin adds 0 teams ability besides returner. I think Austin wins it going away. Will also offer some motion type plays in the offense to spell Mckenzie. Having the constain motion and jet action with Mckezie plus traditional slot work makes the Bills tougher to defend.
