If you would rather get swept by Miami for a higher draft pick, chances are that you weren’t watching football in the ‘80s. -
Anyone else feeling a bit depressed?

I’m surprised our resident Pats fans haven’t stopped by this thread yet to say how wonderful it is to be them. -
Buffalo News: PFF Breaks Down Josh Allen's Accuracy "Issue"
Success replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not what I’ve seen. He is hardly all over the place with his throws. A poor receiving corps has hurt the “stats” - lots of drops, and can you point to even one great catch? I judge how guys play - not scouting reports. Allen could easily still be the best overall QB to come out of this draft. We haven’t had a QB like Allen for a very long time. Get the the man just one great receiver. -

I do not like him. -
Zay Jones: The numbers show that he is a #2.

Receiver is a position that has a steeper learning curve than most. Rookies can sometimes make a splash, but it usually can take a couple of years before you know what you have. I see a guy who made a huge leap from last year, but is still inconsistent. He will benefit from the Bills adding a true 1 to the roster. -
People call this excuse making, but most fans in other markets probably can’t name more than 1 Bills receiver, and the line is abysmal. I love how Allen is playing. I can’t remember seeing so many drops, and so few great catches. I haven’t seen this wild inaccuracy that some talk about. As far as I’m concerned, we found the guy. Allen is going to tear it up with a better line and some real weapons to throw to.

Kyle Williams: Officially Retires
Success replied to Clemfield2622's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do think this team is headed for great things, and wish he could be part of that. At least he did get a playoff game, unlike guys like Schobel. Thank you, Kyle. An absolutely outstanding career and you will always be remembered for your effort and tenacity during an otherwise tough time for the Bills. Best of luck in the future. -
Buffalo News: PFF Breaks Down Josh Allen's Accuracy "Issue"

I have decided that accuracy is a very overrated and over-emphasized traits for NFL quarterbacks. My decision is final, and unassailable. -
Brady says he plans to play in 2019 and beyond...
Success replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good. If any team in the AFCE was even competent this year, the Pats probably lose the division. Jets and Bills should both be much improved next year. I remember how I felt at 42. Things hurt more. I was slower. Keep on playing, TB. -
Why is accuracy so coveted? We’re talking about a difference decided by a few passes a game. Give me Allen’s intangibles and will to compete and win any day. This kid is going to win a Lombardi. Whether you or I like it or not, he is our franchise QB. He will be behind center here for many years.

I don't believe in the 3 year plan happening in '19

2019 could be awesome - it’s great that Allen is getting experience now. We could easily compete for the division next year. -
Rating the Rookie QBs - What the Numbers Show
Success replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In Kelly’s era, Marino was much more of the stats guy. Which didn’t really measure intangibles in any significant way. Stats aren’t useless, but they don’t get you to Super Bowls. -
Kind of a hot take, imo. I saw a ton of effort in some areas yesterday - just too many mistakes.

Missed opportunities (Buf @ NE)
Success replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These always exist, but yesterday was too much. Can’t help but think it’s a bit psychological with that team now. It will take time and talent to change that - but it can change quickly and dramatically. The Red Sox flipped the script with the Yankees by coming back from 3 down. I see us having that kind of defining moment in the near future - either a blowout win, or maybe knocking them out of the playoffs. -
First time watching a Pats game wanting Brady to throw.
Success replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our whole defensive strategy seemed to be geared toward 2007 Brady. He is officially not scary anymore. Still one of the smartest to play the game - but not scary. -
He’s not a great nfl quarterback at the end of his rookie season where he missed a fair portion of the games? Is that shocking?

It’s not like rookie development is supposed to follow some straight line, always showing improvement.

Father Time is finally catching up with Brady

You’re gloating. You probably forgot losing hurts. My only post on an opposin board after a win would be “good game.” -

What’s with Pats fans gloating after another win over the Bills? If the tide ever turns, last place I’ll be is a Pats board. Sad.
