  1. At minimum, Allen has shown us what the Bills saw in him coming out of college. Some of the raw skills and instincts he has shown are incredibly rare - unlike anything I’ve personally seen before, in terms of the variety of abilities he has. It’s exciting, but so much of it now is how well they develop him and the team they build around him. It has to start with that line. If that isn’t the most clear focus of the offseason, it will be mystifying.
  2. I think this QB class is as advertised. It will be remembered as the best in years - not unlike the Kelly, Marino, Elway draft.
  3. I’m always surprised when I see someone say they hate the Bills, which isn’t often but does happen. It makes no sense, unless it’s a fan whose team was routinely beaten by Buffalo when we ruled the earth. It’s how I’ll still feel about the Patriots in 20 years. That’s the main difference. The Lions don’t have that. I can’t imagine anyone hating them.
  4. I’ve never been a “let’s tank” guy, and wanted to win the last 2 games - but in a way, they worked out perfectly. Allen and the team were competitive and got good experience, but we’re still in position to get a real impact player. Things are shaping up well for next year if they can put another good draft together.
  5. I see EJ’s name here and there on this thread. He’s really nothing like EJ - who, as I recall, had “zip code” accuracy. He’s really not like that- all over the field, missing guys left and right. Some of his throws are things of beauty - delivered to the only spot receivers can make a catch. His biggest issue is throwing it too hard, but it’s not like he hasn’t put touch on some balls. He has a few overthrows each game - as every QB does.
  6. Crazy that people are bringing up completion % with as many drops as there have been.
  7. It would be strange to take a penalty instead. I don’t think I ever see teams do that unless they’re at midfield and punting.
  8. Pocket? You saw a pocket today?
  9. Has he had help?
  10. Zay’s drop was bad, but good receivers drop balls from time to time. He had a bad day for sure - but he’s still having a very good season and has come back well from a terrible rookie year and offseason troubles.
  11. I admire your ability to persist with the point, even though it is completely at odds with video evidence.
  12. Hit him right in stride. Should have been a big gain - Clay has room to run.
  13. First true off day I can remember for him.
  14. Absolutely. It will be more fun when he actually has a real lineman or 2 in front of him, and his best receiver isn’t a 2nd round pick who still gets the dropsies once in awhile.
  15. Allen’s mistakes seem to be the correctable kind. I’m kind of glad he’s making them now. I don’t really see a big problem with accuracy. He just forces things too much
  16. With a minute left, you have to take risks. But the earlier one was bad
  17. Agreed. But it does say a lot that I can’t remember the last time I thought that
  18. Not by me. just like last week, he almost did it in his own today. No run game or blocking, dropped balls, bad ST
  19. I’m still very optimistic about next year. Watching Allen’s protection vs Darnolds is night and day. Beane knows what he has to do.
  20. I just watched that about 10 times in a row
  21. Means zilch to me. I still take Allen over Darnold, all day, every day.
  22. Great to see the Pats have a Billsy loss
  23. He has thrown about a dozen easy picks this season- and he probably would have today in Allen’s position. Allen had to force plays at the end
  24. Didn’t answer my question. Telling.
