Tom Brady post-game interview of Josh Allen, his "favorite QB"
Success replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Brady & Belichick now. Which worries me, as this might be one of the signs of the apocalypse. -
Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy

The OP is correct. He's a gadget guy. The Bills did the right thing w/ that trade, and got a much more consistent threat w/ Coleman. KC is a pretender this year. -

This is as good a team as we've had. Maybe the gods will favor us this year. -

The narrative is becoming pretty clear on this one. Good job, Beane. -
Well, it's kind of when there is a goalpost - and you decide not to address that particular goalpost, and instead create another one. Or two. Your undefeated team is a complete pretender, btw. They're not bored. They're just not as good as the Bills.

We're crushing this team. On a good day - I don't think anyone can beat us. -

I love how we're looking today. -
I've never seen anyone shift the goalposts as much as you consistently do.

In that game, Beasley had a broken leg, Diggs had an oblique injury, John Brown had an ankle injury, and Gabe Davis had a knee injury. Allen's top 4 receivers were all playing hurt and much less effective - as evidenced by the fact that none of his receivers came close to getting any separation the entire game, and had to deal w/ officials allowing KC's DB's to interfere w/ them all day. We're seeing now how Mahomes is when he doesn't have incredible receivers to throw to. He isn't bored - he's just not on another level from Allen like many fans think.

2024 New York Yankees..........on to the World Series for 41st time
Success replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in Off the Wall
Man, as a Bills fan since the '80's and a Yankees fan (who only became a baseball fan after 2009) - it's truly astounding how many gut-wrenching, "game with name" losses I've experienced in my lifetime. I hate that I'm almost starting to expect it. But, tonight was just game 1. Still a long series. -

Have you watched the games? Mahomes has nothing to prove. But he's been pedestrian this season. -
Tua cleared to play this weekend against the Cards

I'm pulling for Tua. Not the Phins (of course) - but I'm pulling for Tua. -

Can we just appreciate how great it feels to go into almost every single Sunday expecting to win? For the young 'uns - it was not always this way. For too long. -

I remember fans were so panicky after he had a couple of splashy plays in the opener. The trade & the picks can't be fully evaluated for 2-3 years. But give me Coleman all day, every day. -
RIP Phil Lesh, founding member and bassist of the Grateful Dead

What a life. RIP. -
I guess "lost a step" is the new hip phrase for "playing insanely well." Kind of like when people used "bad" to actually mean "good."

We're getting hit w/ injuries - but at least nothing season-ending so far. The key for us is finally getting to the playoffs in relatively good shape.

Reid is a fantastic coach. He had McNabb, and dominated the NFC during many of those years. Not that McNabb was a bad QB, but I wouldn't call him elite. I'm not sure if he plans to retire - but it would be very interesting to see how the mighty Mahomes looks if he does retire. No one will ever convince me that Allen wouldn't have at least a couple of rings with Reid or someone at his level as his coach.

I agree that Cooper is often inconsistent, and also agree that he's the best for us. The thing w/ Cooper is that regardless of consistency, he changes the defense's focus & strategy. I think we already saw some of the results of that on Sunday - he opens things up for Coleman, Shakir & others.

What's a crowd supposed to yell when Hopkins gets a catch? Nothing like "Cooooooooooooop!!!" Cooper all day;

His #'s are way down this year. I'm definitely curious if that was a product of where he was, or if he's just getting old. Good move for the Chiefs either way. They needed a receiver.

Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
Success replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's really emerging as a legit threat on this offense. He keeps getting better w/ each game, which is what you want w/ rookies. All of a sudden, our WR room looks really solid - Cooper, Shakir & Coleman are a really good top 3.
