  1. Of course. They came back to tie the game...no?
  2. He looks great to me. Yesterday was rough, but he had more pressure on him than usual, a few bad drops by the WR's, and guys didn't seem to be getting open. Literally 2 weeks ago, he was consensus MVP to that point of the season.
  3. That has to lead the league.
  4. We were down 20-3 to one of the better teams in the league, on the road. Once again, we came out of the half looking like a different team. The defense made some key plays - the stop on 4th down, the pick by Bernard, and generally getting the stops we needed to keep the game close and give the offense a chance. Overall, outside of the long TD, the defense actually held it down well all day. It was a great road comeback, and it's all we'd be talking about today if the coaching staff didn't let the team down on that last series. I thought calling 3 passes there really disrespected the effort that the whole team made to get that game back to a tie. We had the momentum at that point - we just needed to get to OT, and it's likely our outlook would be very different today.
  5. This is part of fandom, and what makes it so great in a way. Think of Red Sox fans who had to wait from 1918 to 2004. Obviously, a lot of them never even saw a title, but in 2004, that was about as blissful a feeling as a fan could have. There is something to be said for enduring epic heartbreak before you finally break through. Personally, I love the journey. I'd probably be more discouraged if we didn't have Allen, but that guy is going to get a ring, and it keeps me hoping.
  6. My happiness with Brady will increase exponentially if he starts to realize that you can actually throw a pass on 1st down.
  7. We have a close game problem. It really does seem to be a "tightness" thing at times. The coaching just botched that last series yesterday. It felt like panic.
  8. I'm kind of curious if he's already done that - he looked a lot bigger to me yesterday, but that's just an observation watching on TV.
  9. People made such a big deal out of Coleman's play. He's a rookie - that kind of communication can take time. That was more of a classic rookie mistake, and I read nothing into it.
  10. Drops, more pressure, guys not getting open - I really don't put too much of this on Josh. I wouldn't even call it a bad game for him. He ran really well too. The few angles I've seen of the whole field on some plays, it's stunning how covered our receivers are. We don't have guys who are great at separation - but Brady can scheme some of that, and hasn't seemed to crack the code on that one.
  11. One thing I'm super-grateful for tonight - when Josh was down on the ground there, and they showed the replay, it was easy to think the worst. When he came running out & putting his helmet back on, it was such a huge sigh of relief. The season is still on.
  12. I'm Knicks first, but when they were bad, I started following the Suns w/ Steve Nash, and loved some of those teams. I was pretty into them for quite a few years there. As soon as Nash moved on, I lost interest. I'm a 'Cuse grad, and don't follow the football or hoops teams much anymore. We never got too into the football regardless, but for a pretty good stretch I knew all of the players on the hoops team and watched avidly.
  13. I was disappointed in the playcalling today. We passed on 1st down a few times in the 1st quarter - but after that, it was all north/south kinds of runs. It was very predictable, and put us in 2nd & 3rd and long all day.
  14. Can it be Bishop and Rapp when Rapp is healthy again? I'm clueless as to whether FS can move to SS and vice versa...
  15. The Ravens look like the team to beat this year. I think we can beat them, but I'd favor them against us & in every game. They seem to have figured it out.
  16. It's that last series. It shocked me. I really didn't get it.
  17. I was thinking about that. It's true about 3rd down - but overall, if Bishop doesn't play like a rookie on that long TD, they really held it down points-wise.
  18. Maybe this will get some weird reactions - but he's as good as Milano. He was all over the field today, and looked like a leader out there. He was key to that stop on 4th & inches, and it looked like he baited Stroud into the pick he got. And that's all after coming back from a tough injury. I remember we all thought that was a luxury kind of pick, and a reach. He has really panned out.
  19. Carter & Bernard. Man, were they both great. Oh - didn't realize this is a "worst" post.
  20. I just heard all of McDermott's comments. I still think that last series was a disaster - but at least I understand where he was coming from. I don't know; at least it wasn't throwing darts at a wall? I'm trying here.
  21. My favorite Bills year by a mile was the one where we got on a tear after the "Hail Murray." We literally won every game until the AFCCG.
  22. It's easy to lose perspective after games like this - especially the way we lost. But we're still one of the better teams in the league, with one of the best QB's. It's all about January - and hopefully February.
  23. Just gotta keep plugging away - and maybe one of these years we'll be the most healthy team in the playoffs, or get the big kick, or have another team self-destruct. I just want one. Allen will get us there.
  24. They playcalling on the last drive was some of the worst strategy I've ever seen, and cost us a chance. But, I think we have (for the most part) lost sight of how gutty the comeback was. Felt like that game was over - but we really fought back and made a game of it, and probably should have won or at least had a chance to.
  25. This is what I saw on the few plays they showed a broader view. Guys are totally covered. JA isn't gun shy - he'll pass it if there's a chance. Guys are simply not getting open. We need a star receiver. Without that, DC's can plan their defenses with very standard coverages and succeed. They don't have to focus on anything.
