  1. I doubt we were ever considering Worthy. By season's end (and with Cooper's addition), we'll get more out of Coleman than we would have w/ a speedster like Worthy. And I think Worthy is better for the Chiefs. But he will end up being more one-dimensional/gadgety, and we needed a guy who could potentially blossom into a true #1 or at worst 1b. With Cooper & the injuries to Rice and Brown, the Bills now have a significantly better WR room than the Chiefs. They're built to handle the playoffs and all of the teams you mentioned. I don't know how it will go this year, and Buffalo could certainly bow out by the divisional yet again, but I think it's a pretty middlin' year for the league in general and it's probably our best opportunity yet, if not our best team. We have as much of a chance as the Chiefs this year, imo. I get that KC is undefeated, but the optics haven't been quite as good as usual, and I don't think that WR corps is going to do it for them in January. They have the "aura" factor which is always an advantage, but the Ravens are a better team than both the Chiefs & Bills, who are relatively equal (and I'd say on the same level as Houston, also). Most of the playoff games between those teams will probably come down to a play or 2.
  2. It for sure was in January. Generally, I'd probably agree also - we have some nice pieces on defense, but no one who consistently disrupts the way Jones can.
  3. I thought of him the other night. That guy was so physical - he & Rapp have very similar styles.
  4. Gotta admit - it's a bummer watching the offense get to the 35, and still think that we need at least 10 more yards for a makeable FG attempt....
  5. Gotta say - w/ all of the craziness & bad reffing in that game, it was probably the most satisfying victory in awhile. Not only did it seem improbable for stretches of the game, but just the fact that we could have been tied w/ the Jets, and now we're in command in the division. I loved that win. Still feeling good.
  6. It wasn't all bad - worst moment was the long Nico TD. A rookie is going to make mistakes, but if he starts the rest of the season, hopefully a lot of stuff would be ironed out by the playoffs. Fortune favors the bold.
  7. It's been a great 24 hours or so for the Buffalo Bills. I feel really optimistic about this season now. It's not a great year for the league - no jaugernauts. The Ravens are the best of the bunch, but we can compete w/ anyone now.
  8. Chiefs fans are pretty upset. Gotta chase those moments.
  9. He's had Watson throwing to him. He's going to be excellent w/ Allen throwing to him and in this offense. This is great news. Our offense will be very different now, imo. This opens things up for the other guys as well.
  10. Could end up a 2nd - and the Jets have to take on the salary. That's not cheap.
  11. It's a tough situation right now. I mean, even that last one was veering hard right - it looked like it would have missed if we were even 5-10 yards further out. Confidence is everything w/ kickers, and Bass doesn't seem to have much of that right now.
  12. Re: receiver separation - is that ALL on the players? I see KC with a less than stellar group of wideouts, and yet guys are almost always open.
  13. There are some good options out there at WR. Diontae Johnson isn't talked about much but he'd be good here. Cooper would be a nice addition also. I don't see how we can ride w/ Bass all season. His confidence seems to be gone. I feel bad for him, but also have no confidence for any kick at this point, even PAT's.
  14. We probably couldn't have matched that - a pick that might be a 2nd, and the Jets have to take on the salary. Oh, well. On to some of the other guys out there - Cooper, Pickens, Johnson. Any one of them would help us out a lot.
  15. I kept thinking of Levy's "don't play dirty, don't play dumb." The refs were awful - but the team as a whole needs to be more disciplined. You can play w/ emotion & still be smart.
  16. I'm so glad I don't have to think about some of those calls all week. We overcame a lot to get the W tonight. That team played hard & they were scrappy all night. Great effort.
  17. We're so deep at RB. Davis really made a case for a lot more playing time tonight. He hits the holes so fast, and he has a really good ability to make something out of nothing. Really loved what he did tonight.
  18. It reminded me of the days w/ the replacement refs. They were truly awful.
  19. Respect to Rodgers for pointing out that the sack was NOT roughing.
  20. Brown has had way too many penalties this year. He has to start playing smart.
  21. Good hold. Rodgers is a joke for complaining about the no call.
  22. We're better than the Jets. Can't panic. Have to re-take the mo on this 1st drive.
  23. The receiver also pushed down the guy in front of him. It wasn't that bad on McD - but it also happens too much.
  24. This happens to the Bills FAR more than any other team.
