I saw improvement in Allen. I think the Bills have to take a page from the Ravens playbook and surround Allen with playmakers on offense and solidify that RT position. Of all the QB's to come out of college in his draft class, Allen was the least experienced. Even though we all want to see a top ten QB right now, I think he can get there. Allen wanting to take the team on his shoulders is a double edged sword. When it works, he looks awesome. When it doesnt, he looks horrible. A better surrounding cast will hopefully limit the times he feels he needs to do everything on this own.

I was watching the bowl games to watch the WR's, RB's, and also to watch LB's because the Bills will need one in the 2nd-4th round. There are several WR's that are fast with good hands but a lot of times they have free releases because the CB's are not on the same level. It wont be like that in the NFL.

Barkley is a decent back up for the Bills. Like everyone else mentioned about the weather, playing without a lot of starters, and probably a pretty plain offense. Barkely is veteran and knows his role. He is supportive and isnt challenging for the starting gig. Most young QB's are going to want to get their chance to start. In the Bills case the back up QB should be a veteran that has played before but not starting caliber.

Ngakoue or Armstead for DE Austin Hooper TE AJ Green WR

I hope the Bills can sign Austin Hooper from the Falcons since he will be a free agent. Cut Smith and Croom.

Going into this season I was just looking for improvement and for the front office to have a plan going forward. I thought 8-8 or 9-7 and the Bills would build on that going into the offseason. The Bills were only blown out of one game. If the Bills were not resting starters they would be 11-5. As the Bills have exceeded expectations, they have also raised the bar. I dont think any fan is going to be happy just being in the playoffs, we are looking for a playoff win. I think the Bills are probably a season away from being a contender but there is no reason they cant go in and beat the Texans. No matter how this season turns out, I have confidence in that the right people are running the show at OBD.

So how come all the blame is on the OC? Every week there are All 22 clips showing missed blocks, dropped balls, bad throws, missed WR's, and defensive breakdowns. I dont always love the playcalling but the players play. There is fault all around.

The Bills should see what the Cardinals want for David Johnson. 5th round pick and I would pull the trigger.

It is one thing to have info on a team. It is quite another to have the talent to do anything with that info.

The more touches he gets, the more chances for a fumble. Hopefully his fumbles will be limited but they will happen. I am more concerned about Allen fumbling the ball when he runs than Singletary.

You would think the Bills have a legit #1 WR they are hiding on the inactive list. How do you know Duke will make a difference at all? The coaches see him every day and you have seen him play a couple times.

The Bills need to take care of business and get into the playoffs. I think they can beat some playoff teams. Their defense can hang with any team. I think the Bills can get better in the offseason but nothing is ever guaranteed.

I guess it depends on what you consider legit. The Bills have shown they can play close games with better teams because of their defense. They havent shown they can beat better teams because of their offense.

Allen needs to find a solution to the deep ball. It is awful. The Bills need a better return on investment from Kroft. He is invisible. Knox comes up with some great catches but if he doesnt stop dropping the easy completions he will get replaced. Why was Knox left to block Judon 1 on 1?? The Oline has a tough time picking up blitzes. The Bills need to sign a RT or draft one. Ford is terrible.

If the Bills pay Oliver less to send a message then they should do the same thing with Wallace

After last season did anyone think we would be talking about playoffs while being 6-3 with only suffering one lopsided loss? Yeah me either.

I would like someone in the media to ask Allen or Daboll who makes the decision to throw deep on 3rd and short. It has happened several times this season and it has never worked. When it happened yesterday I was yelling NO, NO, NO. and losing my mind at the TV. My wife and dog left the room.

So your saying if the Bills had a different QB then all is well? The Bills have average talent on offense aside from Brown, Beasley, and Singletary. They also have an average at best OC.

I agree the coaches have him being ultra conservative. We say now that we should just let him play and not worry about INTs but then when he throws INT's we will be complaining again. I can deal with INT's as long as he is throwing balls that his WR at least has a chance to get or the DB makes a good play. I cannot stand him just chucking it up in the air because he is under pressure and doesnt want to throw it away. Can I answer that next season?

I didnt think the Bills would contend for the division or be a playoff contender for another year or so. The Bills are beating the teams that they should beat right now even with a below average offense. The Bills still can contend for the division but it unlikely this season but stranger things have happened. Fans are looking for the Bills to pound bad teams and I am not sure they have the firepower to do it this season. As the season progresses the offense can get a little better so we will see. I like that Beane and McDermott have a vision. Even though I want the Bills to be a dominant team, I can wait another season to see what this team can be.

I cannot disagree more..... 1. Star hasnt been great in every game but he has been good in several games. Does his play match his contract? No but who cares. The Bills overpaid but it is not hurting them right now. 2. Using hind sight to second guess a first round pick after 8 games is crazy. If Oliver would have gone in the top 5 nobody would have second guessed it. He was one the top rated players in the draft. 3. There are time Edwards does get tied up in blocks but watch the game. He makes a lot of plays. He has lived up to being a 1st round pick.

I have wondered if there is a protocol in place for media at press conferences. I havent listened to every press conference but is the media allowed to ask direct questions like Why Singletary didnt get any carries in the first half? Asking Daboll why so many QB runs. Asking Allen why he is having trouble connecting on the deeper routes.

Dont the Bills have a run stuffing DT on their practice squad now? He was release by another team in a surprise move. I think he was rated prettty high by PFF.

He does have good hands for a guy famous for his blocking.

The Bills are a few opportunities away from putting up more points. Without the drops, penalties, and a couple over throws the Bills offense would be the highlight of the game. These things can be fixed. I dont understand the long end zone shot on 3rd and 5. Should have tried to keep that drive going. I think a lot of fans expectations are already too high. They are looking for a top ten QB from an improving raw QB.
