Trade for David Johnson?
BillsfanAZ replied to Bleeding Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cardinals will most likely cut Johnson since nobody wants to take on his salary. Johnson would be a good signing at a lower price but if he is cut I am betting he ends up with the Bucs. -
Tannehill, Mariota, Bridgewater, and Winston are hoping Mahomes gets an extension this offseason to reset the QB price tags

Most people would love to have Mahomes right now. During that draft, how many people were saying how dumb the Bills were for passing on a potential MVP? Most draft gurus were saying the next year was going to be the draft for QB's. So the Bills passed on him and they got Tre White. At some point people need to move on from this. I dont have a problem with what they gave up to get Allen. The Bills made the playoffs at 9-7 and had to work their way up the draft board to get a QB.

I saw the skills competition and was surprised Jackson couldnt hit anything but the close targets. I knew he wasnt a great passer but figured he would hit some. Even in the probowl game he was off more than he was on. He missed a wide open Landry in the endzone by ten feet. I know they are not trying too hard in the probowl. Even in the regular season he threw up a lot of iffy balls that his receivers and TE's came down with. Probowl Olineman, RB, and TE go a long ways to getting an MVP.

Yes we need help but why 1st Round WR's scare me
BillsfanAZ replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This picture will be a little clearer after free agency. If the Bills dont make a hard push to resign Spain then maybe they will put Ford there and look for OT in the draft. I think it will either be DE or WR in the first depending on how the board falls. Trading back isnt a bad idea if the two top DE's are off the board. -
I was wondering why he didnt play last week or this week. I hope he is active and plays in the Superbowl. My wife is a 49ers fan so I will have a 49ers hat on....it just feels weird.

I get what you are saying. I think Daboll overthought some situations with weird playcalls. I think they should have kept using Singletary more through the playoffs. Taking both years Allen has in this system there is good growth from year one to year two. I think the Oline is improved but still struggled at times. I am not willing to throw Daboll out the door just yet. I would like to see what he can come up with a few more playmakers. I think the screen game needs to improve big time next season. Bottom line is that I think it was more on the players not executing rather than Dabolls offense as to the reason the Bills were not scoring more than 20 points a game. It also comes down to offensive talent. The Bills did not have one game changing offensive player.

So whatever will happen to "Right Josh" Rosen?
BillsfanAZ replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched Rosen play here with the Cardinals. He made some great throws and a lot of questionable ones. He has been on two bad teams that didnt build around him. If the Dolphins go QB in the 1st round, Rosen may get cut or traded for a late round pick. I think there are a lot of teams like the Raiders, Patriots, Steelers, Buc, Browns, and Eagles that would like a younger somewhat experienced back up QB. -
So when the Bills offense executes then Allen and the players are good. If they dont execute and make mistakes then Daboll sucks? I have questioned some play calling and I dont like going conservative with Gore. Lets face it if Allen hits a few more passes or playmakers dont drop some balls, the Bills win one or two more games this season.

Is Josh really getting the coaching he needs?
BillsfanAZ replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen needs more experience and offensive playmakers. He is the least experienced of all the QB's in his draft class and has made dumb mistakes. He went to junior college and then Wyoming. His development is way behind Mayfield, Darnold, Jackson, and Rosen. He progressed from his rookie season and he will progress again. Allen picking up 4th downs with his legs and 4th quarter comebacks comes from the same competitive fire that causes him to try to do too much. Singletary, Ford, and Knox will progress too. Another veteran offensive playmaker such as TE or WR that Allen can trust will help. The Bills need to progress along the Oline as well. There were too many miscommunications and defenders running free at Allen. -
The REAL reason Duke Didnt Catch The TD Pass
BillsfanAZ replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Duke and I think he has a place on this team. Foster can be active and play special teams or fill in for Brown to be the deep threat if he gets hurt. I think he misjudged the ball in the endzone and didnt get two hands on it to pull it in before the defender could do anything. The Bills need an offensive playmaker to go along with Brown, Beasley, and Duke. Someone with a big catch radius that is open even though he is not open. The Bills should cut Lee Smith and try to sign Austin Hooper. Smith might be a little bit better of a blocker but Hooper is very productive catching passes. He missed three games due to injury but still had almost 800 yards and 6 TDs this season. -
1) WR 2) DE 3) LB to replace ZO 4) RB. Need some size and speed. 5) CB 6) Pass Catching TE that can get separation.
