  1. Considering Beano just traded two of the Bills best players for a 2nd and 3rd and two one yr rentals, it would be smart to think this way as this is the "year of the tank" and a 3rd round and 5th round comp pick in 2018 for cutting 4 marginal players by week 9 in 2017, that you could immediately resign if you wish, would be very very smart. It is what any smart GM would do. PS: no one really knows if week 10 is the deadline. That is specualtion as NFL has never released the "super secret" comp pick formula.
  2. Safety In Numbers. PS: That is the name of an album released by great indie band from England called "Scars On 45"
  3. He is a great athletic player so he can play. Bills would not pay him 10 million to play safety however.
  4. Davis is one of the guys needed to be cut so Bills get a 3rd round comp pick. So he is a key piece to the rebuild by being cut. Davis is a depth player. So instead of losing your best defender pass rusher in Hughes for likely a 4th or 5th round pick and maybe another depth player like Davis. Just cut Davis get a 3rd and keep Hughes who has a pro Bowl season about to happen. Then resign Davis a week later if you want. Same with any of the other cuts needed to get that 3rd round comp pick.
  5. Keep him. By the time he is entering his prime the Bills will be back to a 3-4 D. Plan for the future yes Beanes?
  6. Classic post. Like this.
  7. Good idea. Just is too fast for a sing along after TD's in game.
  8. The parts of the trade were agreed to. Rams agreed to the deal. They were just waiting for Beanes response after talking to Pegs and McDerma. It was in Bills hands to say yes or no.
  9. For those exact same reasons I see him coming out in 2018. $$$$$$$
  10. Whoever tanks into the #1 pick, will all look like the Jets. Are college players this dumb? Hell he could stay in school another year, have a bad year, and get picked by Jets in 3rd round in 2019.
  11. Because they live in a video game world where they think goofy trades that make sense can be completed just because they make sense. Forgetting you must convince the other team to agree to said trade. In Madden there is only the "here and now" and the players talent comparison. Players perform the same all year regardless of where they play. In the real world teams have baggage and hopes and plans and capital they pd for the player they are trading, salaries, age, talent dropoff over course of yr on older players, contract situations, injuries, sentimental ties to players, personal ties to players, and new GM's/coaches/owners and diff owners all with multiple variying degrees of agenda. For ex: it is harder to deal with ego enhanced owner playing GM like J Jones compared to good GM with experience like most others. Hope that helps.
  12. He could be a Kelly Holcomb 2.0 if he continues to develop. Then Bill shave a good back up.
  13. Then could also bring in Branden Albert at LT, before he retires again, to play if Glenn is out. ?? yes?
  14. If they start Peterman with this atrocious pass blocking OL he will be killed on the field by the 4th game. That will kill his development. C Jones looked better than Peterman in the first game he played in preseason also.
  15. So Bills have signed him already?
  16. Yes everyone seems to not understand when TT starts dancing and then escaping the pocket then rolling out and running up to the line, most of that additional time is counted and increases his time holding ball to league high levels. Most other QB's get the ball out early as that is a league wide solution to the build up of NFL D's focused on rushing the QB. If no wr is open or pressure is fast, other QB's not named Tyrod are throwing the ball away and not spending 2 more seconds scrambling and giving appearance he has all day to throw when that adds to his time holding ball.
  17. I will go with direct quotes from Watkins on this. He said: "I love Buffalo, I want to be here for the rest of my career" https://www.news-press.com/story/sports/2017/07/29/buffalo-bills-sammy-watkins-healed-happy-motivated/521595001/ http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/07/what_buffalo_bills_wr_sammy_watkins_had_to_say_about_his_foot_injury_contract.html http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000822817/article/sammy-watkins-my-goal-is-to-stay-in-buffalo-forever Beans on the other hand says one thing and does the other. Just like McDerma.
  18. Does not feel to them they are bumbling around??? Beane himself said he was not shopping them and teams approached Bills. McDerma then was surprised to get info on these pending deals right after the thurs night game and did not sleep all night trying to digest it. Sounds like Fred and Barney out for a night on the town to me.
  19. Big problem for Bills is historically they can not, or will not, sign the rookies to 2nd contracts. Even good rookies. This sets up a mass exodus when the 10 or 20 draft picks(or # they end up w after trading everyone this yr) are all on same page, contract yr wise, after all these picks are used in 2018.
  20. Driving force is clearly any team who calls and expresses interest in elite young talented players who previously to this contact Bills were not shopping and planned on keeping and building a winning team around. I wonder what Beane is going to do when Jets call offering a high 2018 draft pick for McDerma to be their DC?? This team FO continues to be a cluster****. Trying to fiqure out who is in charge is like the Abbott ansd Costello "who's on third skit"
  21. Alas?? Are you French or English or something. LOL
  22. They did not trade up for him. They received that 1st round pick for Jason Peters. And it was after the Bills 1st round pick at 11 for Maybin. Now I am confused what a real trade up actually is. As Bills made a first round pick 13 in 2004 Lee Evans and then traded back into 1st round to pick 22 JP Losman. Trade up? or Trade back into round 1?? Trade up I guess so you are right.??
  23. Yes. Sounds like what Rex did with the Jim Schwartz D.
  24. Probably not unless he has a breakout 2017. If you still do not want to pay him then you tag and trade. Teams would have lined up after this 2017. Instead he was traded for beans.
