  1. What about that ever elusive intangible... being a Winner, or having that "It" factor. I think it's safe to say that he has neither. Spread this icing over his career stats and performance and you have to wonder why he's still on the team. 3 years is plenty long enough to know what kind of player you have and he's certainly had enough opportunities in 3 years to change some minds. Let's bring up the King of New York, I hear he's A # 1. He deserves his chance at any rate.
  2. I wish him well. He was a good Bill and gave us alot to get excited about. He was a BIG part of breaking the 17 year playoff drought. Go Shady!
  3. Call me old fashioned, but I think winning with character guys is alot more fun. I still prefer players that handle themselves like adults on and off the field, dare I say like "Role models" even. "Process" guys are alot easier to get behind and I get more enjoyment from their success. Obviously, Josh, Tre and Tre fit this mold, but the new guys John Brown and Devin Singletary fit this bill too (as do many others). IDK as a lifetime fan I feel like we're building something good here, something I havent felt in a long while and I'm excited (tempered) about it. The G-men looked awful yesterday, this week will be another winnable game for us. Git'r done! Go Bills!
  4. Mario Williams allegedly cloned a woman's garage remote in order to access her Katy apartment in the middle of the night, court documents say. https://news.yahoo.com/former-texans-player-mario-williams-013522293.html Whats wrong with people?
  5. He should thank his lucky stars every day that he's still alive. Rolling up on an officer with a gun in your lap is incomprehensible to most people. Not someone I'd want on any team imho.
  6. Well... it's not ideal, but we're no worse than last year. And probably still improved w/o Kroft. Lee Smith will probably play a larger role than initially anticipated and we'll get to see if Knox can push Croom for some snaps. Maybe Sweeney has a good camp and finds the field for some reps.
  7. Mr. Touchdown was a regular @ Mannequins on NF Boulevard back in the day. I remember him being very friendly and engaging, he always had a few minutes to talk shop with fans. If he can help out thats great. I wish him success!
  8. I was born a bills fan ! ? One of my earliest Bills memories was crying like a baby as a 7 year old boy when we traded the juice to the 49ers. Forget that we robbed them of 5 picks (a 1st, 2x 2nd's, 3rd, 4th) for a washed up 31 year old that could barely walk. Up until this point, he WAS the Buffalo Bills in my world. It was devastating to me. This also explains why I started writing letters to Super Joe (Montana) not long after. I barely knew anything about football back then, but I remember the old man yelling "The Juice is Loose, the Juice is Loose, RUUUUUUUUN !!! " It was a family chorus at times. My mother would have all the cooking and everything done before the game, cause she'd be damned if she was gonna miss any of the games. Go Bills!
  9. What a steal! KB and Mathews > Watkins & Woods.
  10. She's fabulous! When does she get a crack at the Anthem before one of our home games? Soo many creative people out there, I love it. Combining her passion for music/song and the Bills is amazing. Bravo!
  11. This ^^. I watched that interview and walked away excited. A happy LeSean will undoubtedly be a more productive one. How can people not be excited about that? How could anyone watch that video and be offended geez. All this touchy feely nonsense these days... he said "like", he hurt my feelings blah blah blah. Get over it. He's an elite talent that likes being here. You're parsing words to find an issue where there is none. Any transgressions he's had here have been minor, no different than transgressions I bet many people here have been involved with but weren't splattered on the front page for. Go Bills!
  12. This ^ I expect he'll Rotate as the starter because we don't have anyone else. He's not a great pass rusher and looks to be even worse @ setting the edge. I'm not sure he ends the year as the starter though. Coach will see just like Rex did at the end of the year, his performance just doesn't warrant that much playing time.
  13. The padded helmets aren't for protection to be honest. Joe Pa had long championed this idea for years. If players wore padded leather helmets, they'd be less likely to spear people head first. It'd be a fundamental change in the game, or a return to it's roots. At the end of the day I think everyone knows the risks and makes their own choices. This is why they get paid like they do. How many of you people do things that are very dangerous, even life threatening simply because it's fun. More than likely you don't even get paid for it, or maybe YOU pay to take said risk. This is simply a part of life and we should stop feeding into it. Football is dangerous, as are many other things in life. Make the decision that works for you. The sport will continue to make common sense adjustments to minimize the risk. PERIOD.
  14. Only Bills fans would complain about having a pro bowl QB, Said QB was rated in the division behind only the GOAT. But, ya know... Bills Fans.
  15. I was really excited to see JW play last year. I was a fan in college. However, in the limited touches he got, he did not look good. IDK, if you can make a large enough hole or get him outside, he's got the wheels to make something happen, but it just looks like he lacks vision and doesn't hit the hole with any conviction. At this point my hopes for JW have been grounded.I hope he proves me wrong.
  16. Your lack of ideas is abundantly clear, as evident by this thread.
  17. Exactly what we did. Let them overpay for an overrated Gilmore, an easily replaceable Woods, and Brown, who clearly overvalued his worth on the market. No, we did exactly what we should have done.
  18. I could not disagree with CB more. A GM's job IS to find good players, diamonds in the rust. There job is to fill out an entire roster. Year in and year out. He should have been laying the foundation for today tomorrow and the foreseeable future. Rebuilding every other year is NOT indicative of having success in spades. Pointing out a handful of successes and saying job well done is ludicrous. Conversely, I don't think pointing out every failure is an entirely fair way to grade him either. You should not get credit for doing what you are supposed to do. He should probably be measured on a scale of the two with more weight or significance given to his failures. It's his job to find good players, that should be the minimum standard, not the cause for praise or celebration. He is not hired to find failures and or mismanage a roster, so his shortcomings should be magnified when they happen. In the end it should have been clear a long time ago that DW brings nothing special to the table. His infighting with Marrone, his awful handling of the Rex situation and the ensuing press conferences that followed. I'd wager there's not another team in the NFL that would want DW as thier GM. Given his time with the team, our track record, and history, I think that says all that needs to be said.
