  1. No offense but she's brutal. Listening to her trying to get in and out of a segment is painful. Maybe she'll improve.
  2. This season should be a blast. I had tempered expectations when this show started but it really has become great on its own regardless of the BB affiliation. I hope we have more than on scene with "Gene" this season. Let's see what the writers come up with. Can't wait.
  3. I love SF in this game by 10. Patty will make his plays as the game goes on but if KC stars slow, again, they're cooked. This Niners team is no joke and Jimmy G will make the throws when he has to. SF D line is great getting pressure with 4. Plus, you can always count on Andy Reid to make some baffling decision worth 3 points. They'll never be able to handle the SF ground game. Shanahan is one of the best play callers in the game.
  4. This was the biggest game Allen ever played in by far, so I have faith he'll learn and grow for it. No excuse for the D to forget the fundamentals but that is always correctable. My real concern going forward is McDermott. His in game management and understanding of the situation is horrible and has been since he got here. I don't know how you fix that.
  5. I see and respect your point. I think they choked. It's over now. Hopefully they all learn from it.
  6. So blowing a 16- 0 lead with 20 minutes to play and having Allen, the D , and McDermott all taking turns in opening the window is not a collapse? I'll be nice and say we see it differently and leave it at that.
  7. Um, are you serious? The Bills are the better team. It was a systematic collapse by both sides of the ball. Plus, if you think McDermott's game management and his staff isn't complicit in blowing this game, I guess we'll just have to disagree.
  8. I usually love your posts but you letting the entire team and McDermott off big time. Coaching excellence? In that one situation they were prepared properly. Great. That's his job. How about 4th and 27? How about punting on 4th and 4 from the 38? How about his wonderful penchant for having no feel for the correct time to call a TO. The list goes on . No mention of the absolute loss of technique on fundamentals when it comes to tackling. Yes. Watson is exceptional, but let's not let Milano off the hook for not making a play he should have made. I could go on and on. The bottom line is Allen, the D, and the coaching staff all reacted negatively to the increasing pressure in the last 20 minutes of regulation and in OT. Blowing a 16-0 lead in the process. That's the definition of choking.
  9. Amen to this. Allen was rattled in the second half but he still got the team to OT then reverted back to his bad habits at the worst possible time. The Ford penalty was a killer. My real is issue the D. Wtf? When it matters most nobody could tackle properly. Not just Milano. Simple fundamentals lost this game.
  10. We were so hungover. I sat next to a guy from England who was in town for work. Great day. We nursed beers to ease the pain. Epic tailgate after.
  11. Requested off a few weeks ago for a "wedding." Foresight is a wonderful thing.
  12. Went to a party for the first half. Spent the second half at the now closed Mexican Joe's in Amherst. Not too many people there. Kick went up and it looked like it was hooking in only to veer sideways. I fell into the cigarette machine. Walked home a mile in a snowstorm. I only had three drinks but I slept for 12 hours. That game took a piece of my soul.
  13. The British should have done their job centuries ago and burned that place to the ground. It's like Alabama and Florida had a child and relocated.
  14. I subscribe to this guy's channel. He's really good. I watched this today. A fair and objective analysis.
  15. Absolutely. I love when Chris Cuthbert does games for NBCSN. I wish the Sabres would hire him.
  16. Don Wittman was one of the most underrated announcers of all time. He did everything exceptionally well and was masterful calling hockey.
  17. Greg Papa. Voice of the 49'ers. His work on the Ravens game last week was brilliant.
  18. I've changed my tune on Collinsworth. I absolutely hated him when he started. Now I think he is fantastic. As many of us here, I've been watching the game for decades. I always judge an analyst by if I learn something new. He's got a great eye for the game.
  19. Yes. The app can be downloaded. I've used friendlier apps but it's manageable..
  20. We just run on SoundCloud. All our pennies go to that platform.
  21. I've been asked by the mods to time stamp the relevant Bills part of the show. The first 25 minutes or so pertains to the state of journalism today. Feel free to skip if that's not your thing. However, at the 26:00 mark, Jerry recounts a recent tale about what a control freak McDermott is. I have independently verified that this indeed happened. I should have been clearer in my original post. If it gets locked, I'm only doing what others asked me to do. Happy Holidays everyone! 22. He was great. Talks about the future of print journalism, the "State Radio" of WGR, and the ripple effects of it all.
