Though the Bills players have to be extremely happy right now, don’t be surprised if the Bills have a rough game this Sunday. It certainly is uplifting with the Damar news however our players still witnessed a horrible incident a few days ago.

Agreed. I really have a soft spot in my heart for that team and city. It started with the famous Bengals/Ravens game and grew big time since Monday night.

Damar is going to get healthy. The Bills will take the field this Sunday, united together and backed by their fans. The Bills are going to win the Super Bowl. Damar Hamlin will be on stage and will be the first Buffalo Bill in our history to touch the Lombardi trophy when the Commish hands the trophy to him and he raises it over his head and those tears of pain from his teammates and fans that were seen 6 weeks earlier are now replaced by tears of joy and happiness. Those are my predictions.

The Bills put out a release that he showed improvement yesterday into this morning. I could be wrong but the common sense side of me believes Damar is definitely on the mend. I wouldn’t think the Bills themselves would put out a release like that and get our hopes up if there wasn’t a very good chance he pulls out of this. I guess I could be wrong but the Bills statement has me in a lot better mood today and certainly more hopeful.

I think most of us have seen a loved one die. I guess responding to the worst mass shooting death in New York State history and having comrades killed on the job, and answering the next call is having no such experience? I think I’ll extract myself from this thread and let you guys have at it.

Having your teammate murdered 5 days before isn’t significant enough in your world to sit the game out?

Nobody is forced back. One had the option to quit. Or do the job you knew you signed up for that has substantial chance of seeing or suffering serious physical injury or worse.

So what about all the players in the league that witnessed it on television? Should they also be allowed not to play? Again, like it or not, other teams are fighting for the playoffs and are depending on the Bills to take the field and put forward their best effort. Whatever effort that may be. Life isn’t always fair. Ask the ER doctors and nurses that see children rushed in and die in their care…and then give care to the next person, and come to work the next day. The factory worker who sees his workmate crushed to death and is expected to come back to earn a paycheck. The firefighter that sees people burned to death, and then handles the next call. The police officer that has his buddy shot to death on duty…and handles the their next call. The Washington Redskins who take take the field 5 days after their teammate is murdered. The NASCAR drivers that hope in their car and race the week after one of their comrades die on the track the week before. Life isn’t fair sometimes. Right now it isn’t easy for the Bills and players around this league. But they will lace them up Sunday and crack the pads. It’s what they signed up to do.

Then the whole league should fold, right? Should the whole league be put on hold until the Bills are ready to get back on the field? A week? Two? A month or longer? Should the NFL give them a deadline to resume the season or would that be too insensitive?

The Redskins took the field in 2017 FIVE DAYS after Sean Taylor was murdered and lost on a last second FG to the Bills. I don’t think that there will ever be an opportune time for the Bills to take the field.

What they should be thinking is why risk injuries to our players in a game that means nothing to us if Buffalo is allowed to forfeit.

Yeah, I do care what Miami, Pittsburgh and any other team it effects thinks. In fact, a whole LOT of people care what they think. Funny, but I bet you are praising Miami for lighting their stadium up in Bills colors, aren’t you?

Oh bull####. The Bills played the Redskins right after Sean Taylor was murdered. I’m sorry. The Bills probably will have a difficult time focusing but, like it or not, they have a job to do and a league depending on them to do it.

So, what do you then tell the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers, 2 teams fighting to make the playoffs? “Too bad, fellas! The Bills forfeited. The Patriots are in! Now go out there and risk injury for one more week just to keep us entertained! Sorry for all those injuries you guys suffered fighting for nothing!” Hell, the whole league should just pack it in and see you next season. Maybe.

The world is pulling for Damar Hamlin and will be pulling for the Bills when Damar comes to.
